  • Absolutely amazing flat in a perfect location. Extremely clean and has everything you can imagine. Spectacular old building that has been renovated to an extremely high standard. We really loved our stay here. Thank you Christian!

  • Christian's place was wonderful , a beautifully renovated old building with a great deal of individual style, and just around the corner from a cute little plaza and some good restaurants. Such a fun/ slightly eccentric place to stay.We loved the indoor/outdoor feel.

Just be aware that parking is a problem if you have a car, and that there are a lot of steps in the house.

Make sure you ask Camille, your contact in Arles, the address of the restaurant she works at- it was excellent food and charming. Also thanks Camille for the other tips- we loved the Arles sausage!

The house was very clean with everything we needed (except a toaster- damn we will just have to eat croissants again).

We loved Arles as a location, a great combination of things to see, but particularly loved the fact that it was a gritty and (for the most part) unspoilt by tourists destination.

  • Great place to stay, very well located even if you hire a car to move around

  • Christian has a beautiful home in the centre of Arles. It is full of character - absolutely delightful. There is a steep spiral staircase so you need to be able to cope with this (my elderly mother could manage very slowly!).
It is also tucked away in a very small street so if you are driving you need a proper detailed map to find it. I had a GPS in my rental car but even this got confused.
I would definitely stay here again - a wonderful house!

  • Very very reliable nice and reliable hosting. We had a great week in Christians Apartment. The appartment is in a perfect walkingdistance to everything; "la placette" with bars, pharmacy and great butcher and cheese-shops and supermarketes too. Also to the reiverside - where we saw the Bastille-Fireworks - and the loveley library "actes du sud" with Hammam!!
We stayed a familiy of 5; 2 teens, 1 +80 "grandmere" and the "grown-ups", and there was plenty of room for everbody. Nice "atrium" where we had all our meals.
Christians description of the place was what we had.
VERY helpful and warm contanct with Camille and Marie. We wolud love to come back and visit.

  • My wife and I fell in love with Christian’s place (and Arles!) His apartment is magical. It’s divided into two separate sections divided by a small “courtyard”. This made it perfect for my wife to work in one section and me in the other without hearing each other.

We loved the way Christian decorated the place – very stylish and unique. There’s something about sleeping in a room built with exposed stone walls that is so soothing.

Great location, too. Not in the center with the noise and crowds, but a very short walk to all the activity. We want to come back!

  • What a great house! We had a the best weekend in Christian's house. No surprises, the house look like the pictures and it's extremely well equipped. The house is well located in the old town, walking distance from the Arena and other monuments.
We immediately felt at easy and comfortable in the house. We were 7 people staying in the house so the leaving room was used as a bedroom. This was not an issue as the kitchen is the room to stay in when the weather is bad. It's big and welcoming.
I can't recommend enough this house.
BTW: Great welcome by Camille who was lovely and friendly....

  • I spent a weekend at La Maison du Port with friends and we had a great time. The house is very central, well-decarated. We particularly enjoyed the courtyard. I didn't meet Christian personally but he called me to workout checkin details, and his friend Camille was there to meet us. She was also very welcoming and helpful. By the way, Arles is a very nice city. I recommend this place!
