This beautiful 1930s Spanish-Mediterranean property is conveniently located in the quiet neighborhood of Mission Terrace. Just 2 short blocks up to Mission Street and Mission bus lines, 2 blocks down to the J-Church metro (which runs many historic street cars), is easily accessible to/from 101 and scenic 280 fwy and a 7 minute walk to Glen Park and Glen Park Bart Station. Glen Park is bustling with a diverse selection of critically acclaimed restaurants (Gialina Pizzeria, Le P'tit Laurent French Bistro, Osha Thai, Taqueria La Corneta, among others), a cheese shop, Irish pub, gourmet grocery, bakery, coffee shops and Farmers Market on Sunday!
Our home was built in 1938 and has maintained all the original, unique details including colorful tile and porcelain bathtub and sink, wood burning fireplace, chandeliers, crown molding, hardwood floors and a beautiful built in sideboard under the original mural of Yosemite with historic significance. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, walk-in closet and bay windows overlooking the garden. The second bedroom has a full-size bed with all new bedding and truly the most comfortable mattress you may ever sleep on. There's a newly painted kitchen with gourmet cookware and a fabulous vintage O'Keefe and Merritt range, breakfast nook and lovely central patio. There are skylights throughout so the house is always bright and cheery. The spacious living room features floor to ceiling windows, a wood-burning fireplace, huge TV with Netflix, HBONow, PS3, and printer. The dining room doubles as the library with seating for eight and makes a great office if you're here to work. There is a funky vibe with lots of art and antiques in keeping with the vintage charm. There is a sweet backyard garden with lots of seating and a charcoal BBQ you are welcome to use. The large basement has a washer and dryer, plenty of storage, and there is ample street parking as well as a space for you in the driveway.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you!
Guests will have access to the backyard and washer and dryer. Note there may be times where myself or my son will be staying in the downstairs apartment during your stay. There is a separate entrance and you have the upstairs, self-contained home all to yourselves, as well as parking in the driveway. Access to the backyard and laundry is thru this apt. NOTE: SUV's and campers will need to park on the street.

About the Host, Danielle
I think one of the best ways to appreciate other cultures is through the local cuisine - squash blossom and huitlacoche quesadillas in San Jose Del Cabo, bacon-wrapped hot dogs in San Francisco's Mission, or jerk snapper on the beach in Ocho Rios. "Tell me what you eat and I will tell you who you are" by Brillat Savarin is one of my favorite quotes. I am a private chef and teach private cooking classes in San Francisco and the surrounding bay area. I'm 49 and have two beautiful kids: Scarlett (who now lives in New York) and my almost grown son, Emerson.
If you're reading this to learn what type of guest I would be, I can only tell you that I'm honest, mature, easy-going and respectful of people's property and I treat people as I would like to be treated.
My motto in life is: Yes!
