Glen Park is bustling with a diverse selection of critically acclaimed restaurants (Gialina Pizzeria, Le P'tit Laurent French Bistro, Osha Thai, Taqueria La Corneta, among others), a cheese shop, Irish pub, gourmet grocery, bakery, coffee shops and Farmers Market on Sunday!
Our home was built in 1938 and has maintained all the original, unique details including colorful tile and porcelain bathtub and sink, wood burning fireplace, chandeliers, crown molding, hardwood floors and a beautiful built in sideboard under the original mural of Yosemite with historic significance. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, walk-in closet and bay windows overlooking the garden. The second bedroom has a full-size bed with all new bedding and truly the most comfortable mattress you may ever sleep on. There's a newly painted kitchen with gourmet cookware and a fabulous vintage O'Keefe and Merritt range, breakfast nook and lovely central patio. There are skylights throughout so the house is always bright and cheery. The spacious living room features floor to ceiling windows, a wood-burning fireplace, huge TV with Netflix, HBONow, PS3, and printer. The dining room doubles as the library with seating for eight and makes a great office if you're here to work. There is a funky vibe with lots of art and antiques in keeping with the vintage charm. There is a sweet backyard garden with lots of seating and a charcoal BBQ you are welcome to use. The large basement has a washer and dryer, plenty of storage, and there is ample street parking as well as a space for you in the driveway.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you!
Guests will have access to the backyard and washer and dryer. Note there may be times where myself or my son will be staying in the downstairs apartment during your stay. There is a separate entrance and you have the upstairs, self-contained home all to yourselves, as well as parking in the driveway. Access to the backyard and laundry is thru this apt. NOTE: SUV's and campers will need to park on the street.

Thank you Danielle, we really enjoyed staying at your place. Very cozy and comfortable.
Wir hatten "a very good time".
Danielle is a very kind and gentle person.
The house is greate!
The house is quite well located, 15 min away from center by taxi.
She leaves us all istructions and also something to eat and drink.
The appartment was clean.
Unfortunately we didn't met her but she always write us to have our news.
Had a fantastic time at Danielle's beautiful house. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and it was a real pleasure to stay there. Close to all local amenities. Had 2 lovely runs in the nearby canyon. made great friends with the 2 cats. Hope to return sometime soon.
My experience at Danielle's house was absolutely fabulous! The place has everything to make your stay very comfortable as me and other 4 colleagues spent 5 gorgeous days enjoying the city and taking advantage of all the commodities the house comes with such: BBQ in the garden, walking distance from the closest BART station (Glen Park), great quality supermarkets and stores.
Danielle is an outstanding and detail oriented host as she welcomed us with a nice bottle of wine, fruits and dairy products. She has also provided us with plenty of local tips as per to enjoy the house and the city to the fullest. Moreover Danielle allowed us to leave our luggage at her place even though we had already checked-out in order for us to enjoy our last day in San Francisco without having to drag all our stuff around before going to the airport!
I highly recommend it to eveyone!
Danielle is a great host it was great to stay in such a characterful family house, every little detail was seen to with bathroom toiletries, fresh local fruit and basic provisions in the fridge. We did have a bit of a plumbing problem but Danilelle was straight on it and even baked a peach galette for the inconvenience (5 stars just for that!) With 5 of us the single bathroom required a bit of planning - had a fantastic time and we'll be back!
The house is huge and very beautiful, shops, grocery stores and transport choices at 5 minutes walking. I loved the garden. Danielle is a wonderful person, she left very detailed instruction to get anything we could need, even wine tasting recommendation which was very nice. She baked a delicious welcoming galette for us!! Unfortunately Internet did't work well for us but Danielle came out with several options to watch the world cup games. This is a smoke friendly place.

About the Host, Danielle
I think one of the best ways to appreciate other cultures is through the local cuisine - squash blossom and huitlacoche quesadillas in San Jose Del Cabo, bacon-wrapped hot dogs in San Francisco's Mission, or jerk snapper on the beach in Ocho Rios. "Tell me what you eat and I will tell you who you are" by Brillat Savarin is one of my favorite quotes. I am a private chef and teach private cooking classes in San Francisco and the surrounding bay area. I'm 49 and have two beautiful kids: Scarlett (who now lives in New York) and my almost grown son, Emerson.
If you're reading this to learn what type of guest I would be, I can only tell you that I'm honest, mature, easy-going and respectful of people's property and I treat people as I would like to be treated.
My motto in life is: Yes!
