  • Biren and his brother MJ were absolute lifesavers. My flight was cancelled later in the night at LGA and they immediately responded to my request. They made it very easy for me to find my way to their place, which was cozy, clean, and far, far better than sleeping in an airport! Thanks so much!

  • Biren's home was impeccably clean, modern, and beautiful.
I had found a place for my father to stay while visiting me in NYC, so this review is not written by the person who stayed there overnight, but my dad reported to me what he thought by the time he'd left, and I'd seen it and met Biren's mother as well.
He said it was quiet and the people he met were very kind and helpful. The area was safe, near "Little India" (Jackson Heights), and very fast/convenient to Manhattan, Astoria, other Queens locations, etc (I live nearby so I know and like the area as well). He just needed a place to sleep, so this review is based on morning and night experience. The door had a code lock on it which is a great addition compared to keeping up with keys.
They allowed some space in the refrigerator for food if necessary. You could use the microwave and dishes. There were helpful little signs around the house.
It was so clean and nice it was as if the place were ready to be photographed for a magazine, so my father, who's from Japan and quite a clean person who stays in a lot of hotels, jokingly said he almost felt like he couldn't leave a drop of water anywhere, but the pressure wasn't intense or anything, and the beauty of the place would make a person Want to keep it clean! Highly recommended and if he comes alone again, I'll 99% likely set him up in the same place.

  • Biren, MJ & their mother were AWESOME!

I recommend the place, is nice, well located, clean, comfortable....and you will feel like in home.

We talk a lot with MJ during my stay and I told him how I am a great fan of Seinfeld....so he has beatifull detail to give me as a souvenir the full 3 season of this show!!!

    Thanks for everything

  • I stayed with MJ and Gita in Jackson Heights for 5 days to visit a friend in NYC and see a few of the museums. Everything was great! They were both extremely friendly and inviting. The room was exactly like in the photos. The house was clean and well kept. Checkin was easy. The room had cool art on the walls and there were even little things like lip balm, q-tips, and breath mints.

The location was extremely close to LGA airport and the Roosevelt Avenue train station. I was able to hop on the train every day and get where I needed to go. The restaurants in the area are amazing! Ask them about it and they'll give you a few recommendations. My friend was with me when we checked in and she said she plans to keep it in mind as a place for other friends to stay when they visit. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend or go back myself. My trip to NYC was perfect, and I'm glad I stayed with them.

  • I stayed 10 days at Biren's house but haven't got the chance to meet him since he was travelling. I met his brother MJ who was always very nice, caring and helpful to me! Other positive points: the house is super clean, well furnished and hot during the winter!!

However, I don't think that their mother is really enjoying the Airbnb guests in her house. I didn't feel welcomed when I arrived: she REALLY emphasized the fact that I was not supposed to use her kitchen, that I will not have a key for my room (situation with which I didn't feel so much confortable. I was not enjoying the fact that she was going in when I was not there)... So I didn't felt at home: never used the kitchen nor stayed in the living room.

Also when I left, I didn't appreciate at all the fact that when I asked her to call me if I had forgotten one of my things in the room (since I would still be in NY), she simply responded "No, I won't. You're not supposed to forget anything." I hope I haven't forgotten a thing then...

In other words, I liked staying there because it was warmy I liked my room and it was super cleaned. MJ was very nice!! But I didn't appreciate the way the mother treated me a few times.
So I recommand the house but only for travellers that aren't staying for a long time. Not being able to cook is definitly complicated for a long stay.

  • My stay here was very comfortable and accomodating. My hosts made me feel welcome and right at home. They were always very helpful and they constantly provided me with information on how to get around and about in the city. Place is very clean! Close to subway and all essential stores. Overall a great stay. I couldn't ask for more.

  • My stay in Jackson Heights was a very pleasant surprise! This was an area I was unfamiliar with, and concerned about quality. I found the accommodations not only very pleasant, but clean and very welcoming!! Like an oasis in the desert! Gitta was very helpful - and I felt that I was home. Not being a New Yorker - I was hesitant - but I would love to visit again and again! Thank you for this experience!!! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to feel taken care if, safe and satisfied with their stay. Awesome!!

  • Biren and family are so specially kind and have real hospitality. I feel their family happiness, my staying experience are satisfied with their warm heart.
After arrive at their house, mother welcomed me to cozy and tidy white living room, talked NewYork sightseeing point with brian and wife, also there are hot coffee and cake.I felt hearty hospitality. The room is tidy and so cozy, prepared with bottle water and a glass. Of cause bas and restroom so clean, comfortable.
The hotel price in NewYork is basically so high, however, this house price really satisfied with me in terms of hospitality and room condition.
I really recommend this house for not only man but also woman, couple. Of cause for Japanese.

  • Mr. Jethwa and his family provide world class hospitality. They are the kindest and most understanding people you will ever meet. The location is ideal and their price is most fair. If you are planning for a stay in NYC staying with Mr. Jethwa will allow you to enjoy the city's ins and outs like a local. I would definitely stay again with Mr. Jethwa and he is very intelligent and ensures all his guests are save and their needs are attended to. I am traveling photographer and I could not have asked for more during my stay, thank you for everything and I will be in contact!
