A recently completed interior designed luxury two bedroom apartment with a magnificent private roof garden with Weber gas BBQ, dining and seating areas and panoramic views across London. A very safe & central location with excellent transport access.

The Space

This compact but perfectly designed 4th floor pied a terre (no lift/elevator) has two double bedrooms and bathrooms with Molton Brown toiletries and White Company towels and sheets. The apartment has recently been entirely refurbished. The master bedroom, with a king size bed has its own en suite shower room whilst the second bedroom, with a queen size/standard double bed, with a separate bathroom. There is fast free unlimited Virgin Media broadband WiFi, DVD & Cable TV. The brand new kitchen with Bosch appliances (professional gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer) as well as Nespresso coffee machine, large fridge freezer & microwave.

The very quiet flat is in the exclusive Onslow estate of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea with beautiful square gardens and grand pillared Victorian houses where past prime ministers have lived as well as literary giants such as William Makepeace Thackeray. You will be conveniently located between the Fulham Road with all the fashionable bars, restaurants & boutiques of Chelsea and the Old Brompton Road with Christie's auctioneers and local food shops and cafes leading further to Knightsbridge with Harrods and Harvey Nichols and the serious luxury shopping of Sloane Street. The flat is less than a 10 minute walk from the greatest museums of London; the Science Museum, Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum and a pleasant 15 minute walk to either Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall for concerts or Kensington Gardens to visit Kensington Palace where Diana, Princess of Wales lived. The world renowned university faculties of Imperial College and The French Lycee are a 10 minute walk away too.

Your are brilliantly positioned for transport. You are only an 8 min walk to either South Kensington and Gloucester Road tube stations which are perfect to take you direct on the Piccadilly line to/from all Heathrow Airport's terminals (approx. 55 mins) whilst other destinations are served by the Circle and District lines straight to the financial City and perfectly located for shopping e.g. Knightsbridge and Sloane Square only one 3 min stop from South Kensington station. Local buses and tube will also take you easily and directly to the major tourist sites e.g. Piccadilly, Royal Academy of Arts, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery, Covent Garden and Theatreland. The limitation is only your energy!

A welcome pack of a bottle of wine, breakfast supplies, fresh fruit and Fortnum & Mason tea & fresh Nespresso coffee capsules is provided. Enjoy a BBQ, drinks or a leisurely breakfast on the terrace with the panoramic skyline of London before you. Up to date guide books, local maps and an international plug adapter and hair dryer are also provided for your use during your stay. The host is a contributor to the published insiders city guide of 'City Secrets - London'' and will be glad to make suggestions for your stay.

Guest Access

To save you the pressure of rushing to a check in & check out the keys are arranged to be left in a secure key safe at the property. Your unique access code will be sent to you the week before your visit.

Interaction with Guests

From experience almost all guests like to enjoy their holiday independently and quietly but I am happy to answer any questions & give suggestions promptly during your stay either by email, mobile or SMS.

The Neighborhood

What can we say! You will be staying in one of the best residential areas of London in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. Surrounded by grand Victorian architecture and amazingly close proximity to our greatest museums. It is very safe area with an international European flavour and still retains its own character with lots of independent shops and restaurants and even has a Saturday farmers market nearby.

Getting around

You have fantastic transport on your doorstep - choices of buses at the top and bottom of the street and only an 8 minute walk to either South Kensington or Gloucester Road tube stations to access the the London Underground all over the city as well as easy direct links to & from Heathrow airport on the Piccadilly line of the Tube.

Other Things to Note

To save you the trouble on arrival a nicely stocked welcome pack of breakfast cereals, milk, bread, fruit juice, butter, biscuits, tea and coffee are all provided and included as well as a welcome bottle of wine.

  • This was our third visit to Jeremy's lovely flat, which we keep returning to for the same reasons: a great host, who ensures everything is perfectly set up (and who left a card and wine for my wife's birthday); an ideal location; and a lovely flat, especially if the weather allows you to enjoy the roof terrace. Thanks again.

  • For our first time with Airbnb it was perfect! Jeremy's flat is very nice and in a marvellous area. The rooftop is "La cerise sur le gateau". Jeremy was full of attention before and during our stay. Thank you very much for the milk, jam, coffee... Our week-end was perfect!
We will come back in his flat with a lot of pleasure

  • This was a lovely apartment in a posh, very convenient area. It felt so homey--unlike many vacation rentals, this has been decorated with care, with luxurious touches. It was very clean, too. We loved the goodies and champagne that were waiting for us, and were tickled by the Christmas tree too (we stayed over the holidays). The rooftop deck is fabulous and is a great spot to watch London Eye fireworks on New Year's Eve! We found the street and building to be very quiet and it always felt safe, even in the evening hours. You can walk to so many spots here, and being on the Picadilly line was so convenient to both the airport and to many tourist attractions. As the listing indicates, there are a lot of stairs up to the flat, so be sure you are "stair ready". Also you may indeed have to take advantage of the auxiliary heater on a dank winter day, but maybe we Texan visitors just have thin blood! We'd be very happy to stay here again, and found the host to be extremely responsive, accommodating and friendly.

  • Our stay at Jeremy's flat could not have been better. The location was perfect; within walking distance to two tube stations, grocery stores, and nice restaurants. The flat was impeccably maintained and charming. The climb up the four levels was not nearly as bad as I had expected. Very manageable. Jeremy's thoughtfulness and attention to detail was evident throughout the flat. He furnished a generous welcome package that was greatly appreciated after a long trans-Atlantic flight- including Nespresso coffee, juice, milk, butter, bread , and a selection of sweets. The beds and bedding were clean, new, and very comfortable. Similarly, the bathrooms were renovated with modern fixtures, nice linens and I personally enjoyed the Molton Brown soap and bath gels! We enjoyed having morning coffee on the roof terrace every day! Jeremy was very quick to respond to any questions we had and left a complete book of manuals for all appliances on the front hall table for our reference- very helpful.
Overall a wonderful experience-- the flat contained everything necessary for a great vacation!

  • We had a fantastic stay at Jeremy's. Such a lovely roof terrace and he very generously left us a well stocked kitchen. Jeremy's communication was excellent and he made us feel very welcome indeed. The flat is pristine with very comfortable beds. Its also in a great location very close to Gloucester Road and South Kensington. We would certainly recommend this to our friends and family!

  • Our stay in Jeremy's flat (1-4 Sept. 2013) was just perfect. I stayed with my wife and daughter, and my mother.

We arrived before check-in time and were welcomed by Jeremy. Jeremy granted us access to a studio that he owns in the same building, where refreshments and coffee were waiting for us. We could leave our luggage there and we had the possibility to have a shower.

When we returned back later, all our (heavy) pieces of luggage were waiting for us in the flat, Jeremy had moved all of them !! This kind attention is an example of Jeremy's obsession to make you feel happy and comfortable during your stay.

The flat itself is nice and cosy. You forget the "stairs climbing session" (no lift) when you get there. It was very clean when we arrived. There was all what you need for a trouble free stay (everything that you don't usually carry such as pepper, salt, sugar, coffee, fruits, etc, and lots of stuff in the fridge). Everything was in perfect working condition.

The big rooftop terrace is the bonus of this apartment. When weather and temperature allow, having dinner, or just a drink, on the terrace is really nice. It's totally private, no one can see you up there. Jeremy provides a big gas barbecue.

We had a wonderful short stay in Jeremy's flat. I would recommend Jeremy's flat without any hesitation. Big thank you to Jeremy for his very warm welcome and his full commitment to ensure that his hosts enjoy a comfortable stay.

  • This summer we have just stayed fifteen fantastic days in London. The Jeremy’s flat was one of the reasons that made our stay so fantastic. The flat is excellent: beautifully, comfortable and well located, with a rooftop terrace amazing. It's a very quiet flat located between South Kensington and Gloucester Road tube station, close to interesting destinations. There are many bars, restaurants and food shops near the flat.
After a tired day visiting London, the flat offered all possible attentions like at home. Thanks Jeremy, you are an excellent host!

  • Our family greatly enjoyed staying at Jeremy’s apartment. The flat is tastefully furnished and very quiet and comfortable. The rooftop terrace is a real stunner, and we enjoyed some fantastic meals there overlooking the city.

Jeremy was kind enough to let us leave our bags in a separate apartment, as our flight had arrived earlier than the apartment would be ready. When the check-in time arrived, Jeremy met us at the apartment and kindly walked us through it and give us a brief overview of the neighborhood. We quickly felt at home in Jeremy's apartment, he left a generous welcome package, and all the apartment amenities were of high quality.

We very much hope to stay in Jeremy's apartment again soon!
