My husband and I live on the farm under the same roof as the Apartment, ours is the first door, the Apartment the next one over. We try to greet our guests upon arrival to show them around the Apartment and the Farm. We have several other accommodations on the Farm, spread out over the 27 acres, so you may see other people enjoying a quite walk or joining us for a bonfire. If you arrive after 9PM you can let yourself in and we will show you around in the morning. We do offer some shared meals so if you take us up on this invitation then we will get to know each other, sometimes the pizza parties turn into late night fun!
The primary attraction around here are the State Parks where you can hike, climb, snow shoe, cross country ski and swim. Within a 10 minute drive there are some amazing restaurants and shops for after you have enjoyed nature. You can also walk to the rail trail witch runs along side the Roundout River for a 5 mile walk into the next town. If you are looking for some more excitement then you can drive to Woodstock or New Paltz where you will find more shopping, restaurants, Bars, Concerts and Dancing. If you are looking for the performing arts I recommend Bard College and Kattsbann International Dance Center, both across the river.
You can take the Trailways bus from NYC Port Authority to New Paltz and a taxi from there to us. There are a few stores and restaurants that you can walk or bike to.
In winter our property becomes a "Winter Wonderland"; SNOW SHOEING or CROSS COUNTRY SKIING ski right on our property or drive 10 minutes to Minawaska or Mohonk and ski their well groomed trails and ICE SKATE at Mohonk's beautiful Ice Pavilion.
Take the Trailways bus from NYC to New Paltz 1.5 hours, from there you can catch a cab 25 minutes to our Farm in Accord, NY

Your safety and your children’s and pet's safety is important to us. Please approach the horses slowly and only when they are on the other side of the fence. Dogs on leash until you figure out weather your dog likes to chase horses. Horses will defend themselves by kicking.
If something is not working please let us know we will attend to it promptly.
We do appreciate how respectful all of our guests have been.
Mutual love, respect and peace to all.

This wonderfully cozy and rustic space provided the perfect weekend escape from NY. The dogs were awesome and the kitchen and lodging were both more than sufficient. 10/10 would stay again.
What a magical place. We had a beautiful time at Beth and Tim's place. Hot tub is fully functional, though we barely had time to use it. So much to see. They had a bonfire at night. Beautiful property, beautiful people (they fixed our flat tire for us! What?!). Would highly recommend, and will be back!
We had a really great time staying at Beth and Tim's farm; it was the perfect weekend away from the city. It was quiet and private and we were able to use the hot tub any time we wanted. They left us a lot of helpful information about the area; there are a few really great restaurants and scenic spots a short drive away. We will definitely be back up when it's warmer to explore the area more and take more selfies with the goats :)
We had a really lovely weekend. This is a great little spot in a beautiful area.
Beautiful Location with a lot of friendly animals. Would love to go see what the place looks like in the summer.
Another year and another fun trip to the farm. We all had a great time and breakfast was a good experience, like last year, as we got to know our hosts better...always enjoy talking to them. Next time we may have to try the boat, preferably when the temp isn't -6. Will certainly come back.
We didn't get a chance to meet Tim or Beth, but we really enjoyed our stay at the farm. It was the perfect place for a wintry weekend getaway. But I was a bit disappointed and let down. The hot tub wasn't working and I had booked this property primarily for the hot tub. I asked prior to arrival if it would be working, but I didn't receive a response at all, and upon arrival I was informed that it would not be working. If I had known, I wouldn't have booked this apartment because we had really wanted to enjoy a hot tub. At some point, a light went out in the living room and we asked if it could be replaced, but I never received a response from Beth or Tim. The apartment and property itself was beautiful and well-kept--the heating was especially warm and cozy. The kitchen was also well-stocked with plates, cups, utensils, etc. Overall, we had a restful time and I would recommend staying here, but just double check about the hot tub before booking your stay. I'd like to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the farm and neighborhood nearby.
Thanks for your wonderful words about our farm! I am sorry we didn't get back to you, I must have missed your email. I did find your call on my cell, but I often don't have it on when I am home, sorry. Yes, the hot tub is being replaced, it has been a real hassle as the hot tub company shipped one a few weeks ago, but it was wired for European voltage, so we thought that it would be up and running, but then the electricians couldn't get it to work and figured out why. It had to be sent back and a new one will arrive any day. The one we had was very reliable until it had the fire, I expect this one to be as well. Hopefully you can try it out when you come for a return visit.
Our Best wishes,
Beth and Tim
