On a daily basis.
In the centre of Aix!
Just to respect that I work. I often work from home and will need sometimes exclusive use of the lounge. However, when I am not working or entertaining the lounge is free for guests to (website hidden) DVD etc.
I also expect that any guest truly enjoys their stay in Aix with obvious considerations on all parts. There is no smoking in the house, but a small courtyard is available.
Viv, thank you for being there to welcome me when I arrived and kind enough to show Aix, enjoyed spending time with you and sharing some stories ... Hope to revisit again someday. It was lovely meeting you Viv and thank you again for being a great host! Hope to see you again soon. Have a great Christmas and New Year. Cheers Penny
I had the best stay at Viv's house. The apartment is so well located. A short walk from the train and bus station as well as very close to the center of town. It's really ideal. Viv went out of her way to make me feel at home and comfortable. She accepted my reservation request last minute, showed me some of her favorite places — in the rain no less, and even helped me to get a gym pass for the week. It was also my birthday while I was there and she really helped make it great. Viv, thanks so much, you embody the airbnb spirit in every sense.
Situation parfaite : accès au coeur du centre-ville quasi immédiate !
Viv' accueillante et chaleureuse et pas envahissante.
Quartier calme : dodo respecté !
Great location and great host! Viv makes you feel very welcome and is really helpful with suggestions for things to do/places to see. The location of the house is absolutely perfect, just a short walk to Cours Mirabeau and the train station. If you are considering staying in Aix, then I absolutely recommend you book with Viv. You will not be disappointed. The house is very clean and so charming!
Viv was a great host. Although her plans took her out of town for the first night I was there, she set the place up for me and let me use her garage. Although the accommodations are simple, the house itself is very unique. On a tucked away street. It's a fun place to stay.
I stayed in Vivien’s home for over a week and had a fabulous time in Aix – I will be back. The location is a winner, central to everything (Bus & Train station, Old town, cafe’s, Museums, Parks, supermarket, etc) and I could not ask for more support. Viv is at work most of the day, but always willing to share information about Aix & the surrounding villages. Viv is fluent in French & English and provides pamphlets & general advice – this all added to making my experience in Provence memorable. Check out the tourist office as there is lots of information/tours available. The little Book Cafe just around the corner was a greater starter for me each day – coffee, croissant & newspaper. Great place to stay. Don
Super convenient location, very close to the old quarter and I always felt safe. The room was clean. Viv was very friend and gave me a nice long detailed run down of the city which was helpful. She provided a simple breakfast every morning which was VERY much appreciated. I had a chance to dine with her one night and she was very friendly and nice. I highly recommend staying in this place!

I am a semi retired British university and college lecturer (lecturers retire early in the UK) ;-) with some 'English As a Foreign Language' teaching in universities and companies in the Marseille area. I know the region very well as I have been flying back to and from UK for many years now-thanks to Easyjet. Heart in both places you might say. So I know the region and the treasures it has to offer. The lovely property which I have rented for several years now is the one I stay in when I work in France and am not in Brighton in the UK. It is the one you are invited to stay in.
I also have a village house near Avignon which has been our family holiday home for over 20 years. This shows how much we love this area. Shortly to feature on Airbnb?
If you chose to stay here in Aix, I might even throw in a couple of English lessons if you are non English speaking or French if you are non French speaking over a cup of tea, or glass of wine.
On a personal note, I am very sporty and enthusiastic about people and their cultures. I have two children who are studying in the UK who also love Provence and visit it as often as work will allow.
