Margaret's house was a very quick walk from the train station. She went out of her way to accommodate our arrival. It was exactly as advertised - very nicely decorated with antique furniture. She was very welcoming and provided a delicious breakfast each morning to fuel us for our long hikes. It was our first trip to the Lake District and we will definitely be back!

Margert's house is lovely and unique with the beautifully displayed antiques and shows a great artistic taste of her. The location is unbeatable. Sitting in the heart of Windermere town. the house is within 5 mins walking distance of train station and in proximity of restaurants, pubs, antique shops etc. I was greeted immediately by Margaret upon arrival and had delicious breakfast during my two days' stay. The bed is spacious and comfortable and there is a private bathroom with hot shower to use which is definitely a bonus.
