Cosy double bedroom in a flat within a traditional stone built house in the centre of Windermere.
The flat itself is very cosy and full of interesting furnishings and vintage finds as Margaret used to run an antique shop before retiring. She is a keen crafts person and expert rag rugger so there is always some new and interesting project to see and anyone wanting to have a go is very welcome.
The bedroom is a double bedroom at the top of the house and has antique furniture . The private bathroom for guests exclusive is immediatly outside the room and has a bath with overhead shower.
A continental breakfast will be provided either in the dining room area of the sitting room or, if preferred in the kitchen ar the rear of the property which is reached by wooden steps which lead to the balcony just outside.
The railway station is just a five minute walk and there are many buses which connect to many other Lake District beauty spots.
Windermere lake shore can be reached on foot in approx 20 minutes via a lovely footpath which avoids the main road and there is a short walk up to the Orrest Head view point from where there is a 360 degree view of the lake, the surrounding fells and even the sea on a clear day. And from here for the more adventurous there are extensive footpaths from which many fells, tarns and valleys can be reached.
Windermere town boasts some interesting small shops including a well stocked second hand bookshop, outdoor clothing shops, bakers, florists, tea shops and cafes as well as the famous Booths family run supermarket which stocks many local products.

The appartment is on the first floor , accessed via a wooden balcony. It is number 30a. It is 50yards down from W.H. Smiths stationers . Turn down the alleyway between two shops One is called No22 and the other is called Its in The Bag. Turn left to the wooden balcony at the end and up the wooden staircase .
