Margaret is super nice. She recommended me very beautiful footpath and many useful information. The house is very lovely very beautiful. The location is very convenient only five minutes to the train station. The breakfast is also very good. Really recommend.
Margaret is a most friendly, easy and hospitable host. Our room and bathroom were both very charming and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and yummy. Us being comfortable was very important to Margaret. The position of Margaret's home being in the Main Street is excellent. She was very helpful by sharing local knowledge, giving us a lift to our car. Loved meeting her friend Celia and seeing their efforts with traditional rug making. Thanks Margaret!
Margaret was an ideal host, helpful, accommodating, easy to talk to and very charming. Her home was more beautiful than I ever expected and very clean and, and her breakfast was delicious. It was very close to the train station, right in the town center near many restaurants and cafes. It was a good starting point for a walk to the lake, to which there were a few different paths (all very beautiful). I definitely recommend her home to anyone visiting Windermere.
Good, convenient location for exploring the Lakes either on public transport or by car and not as touristy as Bowness, but some interesting shops and good places to eat within close walking distance. Margaret is a very friendly and helpful host - happy to talk, make suggestions or leave you alone, whatever you prefer - and her lovely home is full of character, just like in the photos and everything as described. Although overlooking the street, the room is quiet, spacious, warm and comfortable and exclusive use of the bathroom next door makes it essentially en-suite (plenty of hot water and good to have bath option as well as a shower). We stayed 2 nights, had lovely breakfasts and thoroughly enjoyed our 1st Airbnb experience, thanks Margaret! We'd be more than happy to stay again...
This was our first time in the Lake District and Margaret made us feel incredibly welcomed. She has a lovely home that is easy to find and near various modes of transportation that can take you to several parts outside of Windemere. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family, so do not hesitate - Margaret is the way to go! Thanks again for the lovely experience. Hope to see you again next time we're in town.
