Margaret was very welcoming. The location was excellent for exploring Windermere and other nearby villages. The room was spacious and comfortable and Margaret provided an excellent breakfast. We would highly recommend a stay with Margaret.
Margert's house is lovely and unique with the beautifully displayed antiques and shows a great artistic taste of her. The location is unbeatable. Sitting in the heart of Windermere town. the house is within 5 mins walking distance of train station and in proximity of restaurants, pubs, antique shops etc. I was greeted immediately by Margaret upon arrival and had delicious breakfast during my two days' stay. The bed is spacious and comfortable and there is a private bathroom with hot shower to use which is definitely a bonus.
I highly recommend Margaret's place for anyone visiting Lake district by train and looking for a special and home-feel local stay experiences
