Wifi, private bathroom, free breakfast and parking
Ten years ago we moved to Haarlem into a beautiful house, just outside Haarlem's 'old city'. The house, which was built in 1903, has an unique atmosphere and character. We live here with our 8 year old daughter. We look forward to meeting you and to share our passions for Haarlem, museums, good restaurants, beaches and nature.
You stay in a private room on the first floor and you have your own private bathroom (with rainshower and toilet). The room has two single beds, bath- and bedlinen is included. We serve you a nice (free!) breakfast. Parking is free (with a permit for guests) at the front of the house. The house is just a 5 minute walk from the 'Grote Markt' (big market square) of Haarlem and a 10 minute walk to the train station, if you want to go elsewhere. Haarlem offers a variety of good restaurants and we love to share some of our favourite addresses with you.
Enjoy the beautiful historical town of Haarlem with its numerous restaurants, nice canals, old small streets, beautiful shops and interesting museums, among which the oldest museum in Holland, the famous Teylers Museum (art, natural history and science, established in 1778).
Haarlem is close to Amsterdam and the beaches (both less than 15 minutes by train or car). Haarlem is also very close to Leiden (old university town), the cheese markets of Alkmaar and one hour from Rotterdam (city of modern architecture). Only a few miles from Haarlem is the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, known for its estates, forests, sand dunes and coastal beaches.
Haarlem is only 20 minutes by car from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
There is a bike rental shop around the corner of our street from which you can rent bikes for €8/day.
Within 10 minutes walking distance from our place there is a boat rental service, which rents out electrically powered boats to discover Haarlem's canals at your own leisure.
You easily understand that Haarlem is an excellent choice to stay and why we love to live here: away from busy Amsterdam, but still close to it and close to everything else!
Please send a message first before booking to check availability. Because of our jobs there is usually no ‘check-in’ on Monday or Tuesday.
We really like to have you as a guest in our home. We enjoy small talks and will certainly provide you with information. We'll try to make your stay very comfortable. We serve a free breakfast every morning at the time you request.
We will not come into your room during the time you stay with us, but you will get clean towels every day.
There is a small tv in the room with a selection of dvds. We have wifi, and will provide you with the code when you arrive. Your room has also an Nespresso coffeemaker, a water cooker and a minibar.
If we can do anything else for you, we will try to help you. We are a small family, and will do 'normal' things that families do. Our daughter has to go to school during weekdays, so you might hear something in the morning. It has never been a problem with our guests. We have a nice place for easygoing guests who will enjoy the Netherlands as a tourist, who maybe will go to the beach, enjoy a nice restaurant, a visit to the Keukenhof or Amsterdam. If you would like to 'party' in Amsterdam, it is better to look further for another place. :)
Nice place, very friendly hosts, wonderful breakfast, quiet street, 10 minute walk from Grote Markt. Separate bathroom and toilet large, which you can reach in a 2-step from the room. I enjoyed the place for two nights.
We really enjoyed our stay at NoHotel Nobel! Menno and Inge are very friendly and gave us great advice about Haarlem. The location is good (about 10 min. walk from the city centre) and the bed is comfortable. We definitely recommend this place!
Our return visit to NoHotel Nobel was a delight. Ingrid and Menno were very welcoming, the room was as lovely as I remembered, and breakfast was excellent. The location is great, quiet but close to the centre of Haarlem. It felt like coming back to good friends. Our adult daughter was with me and she enjoyed meeting the Nobel family and seeing the town. She would like to return! Thank you for another great stay in Haarlem.
Ingrid and Menno are wonderful hosts. We would like to give them the sixth star. Their house is clean and decorated with taste. The room is in fact better than the photos. As the house has a high ceiling and large windows, it gives feeling of space and brightness. The bathroom is large and in contemporary style. The breakfast is tasty and plentiful. An information binder for trip planning including maps and brochures was provided.
Ingrid and Menno are very warm and friendly. They did not hesitate to take extra miles to enrich our trip in Holland. Ingrid helped us to book a boat to cruise in the canals of Haarlem, took us to the venue and helped us to ignite the boat. This was not possible without her help as from booking to instructions about how to start the boat were in Dutch. Menno offered to give us a lift to the airport on his way to work on the day of our departure.
The treatment we received has exceeded our expectation. As the first-time user of Airbnb, we were a bit nervous and awkward in the beginning. They have made us feel very comfortable and delighted with surprises. We have no hesitation to recommend them to you!
I, too, can highly recommend staying with the Nobel family who did everything to make me feel welcome and comfortable. On top of that, their lovely home is walking distance from the town centre and cycling distance from a wonderful national park and beach.
We are Menno, Ingrid and Famke and we happily live in the beautiful city of Haarlem for 8 years now.
Menno is an airline pilot for a Dutch airline, Ingrid is a teacher at a primary school, and our 7-year old daughter goes to school everyday.
Our interests are travel, food, restaurants, movies, theatre and museums.
