There are just a hand full of basic house guidelines. There will also be a hard copy of this list in the welcome binder.
We ask that you please:
•Do not move furniture! Including moving the furniture and putting it back before you leave. The only exceptions being the regular chairs and the optional air mattress. The furniture is fragile and the wood floors scrape very easily.
•Have shoes off in the house at all times.
•Do not take amenities with you, including the small shampoos and conditioners.
•Read the instructions if you plan to use the Le Creuset pots and pans, and PLEASE clean them immediately after use!
•Keep long distance phone calls to a minimum as there is a per minute charge
•Turn the heater off if you are out for the day
•Do your best to pick up droppings on the lawn if you brought a pet.
•If you use the grill, please do your best to leave it clean
•Do not smoke in the house or near open windows
• Please bring used towels, pillowcases, and kitchen rags along with the used fitted and flat sheets to the laundry room.
• Please make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked.
• Please leave dishes clean. (It’s ok if they’re left clean in the dishwasher)
Thanks in advance!
Our entire extended family enjoyed our four night/five day stay at Alex's home. We were all attending a wedding nearby and wanted to stay together. The rooms were very spacious and, most importantly, there were plenty of bathrooms, showers and hot water for the eleven guests; plenty of linen and towels!
The kitchen was adequately stocked and we enjoyed the opportunity to eat together in the large dining area. All the furniture in the den and livng room was comfortable and the younger guests enjoyed the game room.
It's location up on the mesa made it tranquil, but you did need to drive for any shopping needs. However, proximity to Aroyo Grande, Pismo Beach and environs made all our trips convenient.
Alex was very responsive to any of our inquiries and made initial access to the house very easy. It's a great house for groups of 10+.
House is close to the beach. It fit our entire family of 12 adults and a few toddlers easily. We played pool, board games, and foosball. We had foot races in the backyard, enjoyed wine and cheese, bbqed some steaks and burgers! Lots of fun and lots of space!
My group and I had a blast. The property is better than advertised and Alex was easy to work with and very helpful. Hope to come back again!
Alex's home was the perfect venue for our work retreat. Plenty of space indoors and out for entertaining and group activities. We had beautiful weather all weekend and spent most of the time outside on the beautifully manicured property. Alex gave us plenty of privacy but stayed readily available to resolve any issues that may have arisen (but there were no issues!).
I would certainly come back to this place and will recommend it to any friends looking for a magical weekend away on the central coast.
Alex's house is amazing! Its huge and has the most beautiful garden with lots of lavender and lemon trees - I could have sat out there for hours. The kitchen is fantastic and has more than everything you would need.
Alex was great, he let us come stay at exceptionally short notice (like an hour!), his communication was clear and prompt. We will definitely be staying with him again should we be in town.
We had a wonderful vacation and the kids loved it so much. The house was spacious and clean.
Had a full group (14) here for a small wedding, had originally planned to do the wedding at a nearby park but opted to do it in the backyard of the house as the location was so great and well setup for such events! Alex was very responsive and easy to work with, but the house was clean and well organized such that we didn't need much. The area is quiet, rural and very comfortable. There are plenty of activities to take advantage of at the house (pool, poker table, golf holes...) such that no one was ever bored. We're so happy to have chosen this place, for obvious reasons, it will stay with us for a very long time.
About the Host, Alex
Hmm five things I can't live without? it's tough to choose just five but I guess I'd have to narrow it down to landscaping, the ocean, music, traveling, and of course my family and friends. I'm from southern Calfornia so I visit there quite a bit, but some other places I enjoy visiting include Texas, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Costa Rica, and Oklahoma. I particularly enjoy a wide variety of classic rock but have also gotten into some more modern electronic music. I can't remember the last movie I watched but I dd just finish the excellent breaking bad series. I also enjoy running, hiking, and sailing on lake mission viejo. If there is anything I have learned in life, it's that it has a funny way of showing us things.
