The Space

LOCATion-LOCATION-LocatioN

This is my 3rd space centered in Shibuya--located in Nakameguro specifically HigashiYama--a short walk from Shibuya-15 minutes or 10 to Nakameguro station. It is really my favorite area of Tokyo you will find that this area oozes with creativity and style.

This space is located a 15 minute stroll west of West of Shibuya Station or a 10 minute stroll to Nakameguro. The space itself is 28 meters with a 7 meter balcony. It has 2 double beds--1 double bed and 1 floor futon. Perfect for friends or couples or a young family or for groups of 4. The space is stylishly furnished with the latest furniture, comfortable, clean and with free mobile Wi-Fi to help you navigate your adventure.

--Amazing Location--
This is a medium size (by Tokyo standards) apartment, only a 15 minutes to Shibuya Station. The famous Nakameguro river is right behind the space and Ikejiriohashi station right down the street, along with all the other establishments that make the area distinctly Nakameguro.

--Getting there--
-A comprehensive travel-info-package will be made upon booking.
-Including a cheap private airport taxi option--My guy will pick you up at the airport and take you directly to the space from Narita--13000 yen or Haneda--10000
-a series of videos both of the space itself and the walk from the station.

--Amenities Provided--
- Clean linens and towels
- Free Mobile WIFI (roam around Tokyo with internet in your pocket)
- air conditioning
- hair dryer, clothes iron (on request)
- full kitchen

--Apartment Safety--
The apartment is in business/residential building with reinforced concrete and is safe from earthquakes and other disasters. Japan is extremely safe, so I can nearly guarantee you will experience no problems with safety.

--Getting Around--
-Shibuya 15 min walk to the station for trains or buses. Taxis on every corner near the apartment. (Best shopping, restaurants, clubs, etc.)
-Harajuku 5 min train (A must see for Japanese culture, alternative shopping and people. Next to Yoyogi Park)
-Shinjuku 12 min train (Busiest station in the world)
-Roppongi 10 min train from Nakameguro Station (Night life near Tokyo Tower)
-Akihabara 30 min by subway (Electronic and Anime Central)

--Bike Rental--
I have bikes available for 1000 yen per day--ask me about them

--Money Withdrawal--
Many banks do not accept international credit cards in Japan. You will either need to use Citibank, a 711 or the Japan Postal Service ATM s. These are all located near the space.

Whether you are traveling from inside Japan or coming from abroad--
1-Remember your destination is IkejiriOhashi Station which is one stop from Shibuya.
2-Please call me from Narita or if you are coming from Kyoto or are already in Tokyo ect call me or give me a mail to either of the following so I can go and open the space-

There are 4 options for getting to Shibuya or Omotesando
Option 1-Keisei Line
This new service is great 36 minutes to Ueno!!
(website hidden)_us/top.html
Take the Keisei line from Narita to Ueno and transfer to the Ginza line that will take you
to Omotesando. At Omotesando Station get out and walk accross the platform and get on the Hanzomon Line. At Omotesando Station the Ginza Line and the Hanzomon/Denentoshi Line share the same platform--this makes it the easiest way to tranfer to the Hanzomon/Denentoshi Line-- because there are no stairs. Make sure the train is a local train 各亭-
DON'T TAKE ANY EXPRESS-ask someone-take the local train--it is only 2 stops from Omotesando Station. and it takes about 5 minutes on the train. Do not get off at Shibuya. Get off at IkejiriOhashi Staion this is 1 station after Shibuya.
(website hidden)_Metro_Ginza_Line
Option 2-The Bus
If you take the Airport Bus take the one going to Shibuya. This bus drops you off at Hotels in the Shibuya area and then you can take a taxi from there. The one that drops you off at the Shibuya Excel Hotel or Cerulean is the closest. The taxi fair would be pretty cheap less than 1000 yen--hand the taxi driver the Japanese address provided and he will find it easily. This is a good option if you have a lot of bags and do not want to go through busy stations. Also it can be a good option for going to the airport too but it is risky because it uses the highway and that gets busy in rush hour. Here is the link for the bus--

Option 3-Narita Express to Shibuya
If you have the Japan Rail Pass you should take the Narita Express (website hidden) to Shibuya Station.
Once you arrive at Shibuya you should decide if you want to take a taxi or take the Denentoshi subway line.
1-If you are taking a taxi go out the New South Exit―it is easiest and there are always
taxis waiting or coming there at the bottom of the escalator.
2-If you are taking the train then you have to go to the Deentoshi subway line
Option 4-Direct Taxi Service
This is a great option―there is a man named Mohinder--he has 3 vans and can take you from Narita directly to the space for 12000 yen--really good deal and hassle free! Please contact him--mohinder9_(email hidden).in or (phone number hidden) or (phone number hidden)
There is a more commercial service as well―costs more :-( They pick you up at the airport and bring you directly to the space from both Narita or Haneda airports.
(website hidden)
Additional Taxi Information--
1-If you are taking the Narita Express use the NEW SOUTH EXIT. The Narita Express
uses a special platform and that platform is closest to the New South Exit (also mentioned above)-This is good if you want to take a taxi directly to the space.
2-If you take the bus to Shibuya Excel or Cerulean Hotels there are many taxi's there or you can walk from there to. However, getting out of the Excel Hotel to the street is really hard because the bus platform is on the sixth floor―The Cerulean Hotel is better.

  • Good and easy communication with host, accurate description of apartment and thorough information about the place and how to get there.
The place itself was clean, had everything you needed, located in a great neighbourhood, close to the subway, close to almost everything.
The place was small, as in pictures and description, but it worked well for three people. In february it was quite cold but heated blankets helped a lot.
We had a very pleasant experience and I can really recommend this place!

    February 2014
  • Great affordable little place in a cute area, one stop from Shibuya Station and about a 5 minute walk from the Ikejiriohashi station. Bruce was quick to respond to emails and was very thorough in providing directions to the place and info about the apartment. There's a couple little restaurants and an excellent bakery called Talo very close by. They don't serve coffee but Aux Bacchanales is about a 8-10 min walk away toward the Nakameguro station. The space is clean and small but was perfect for my friend and I who each had our own bed -both which were very comfortable. If you plan on being out and about during your time in Tokyo (which you will most likely be doing) then this is a great option.

    October 2013
  • This was a great space in a good location. Very clean with everything we needed and good communication from Bruce. We are a family of 4 and this cosy space was very good value for Tokyo. Recommended.

  • Bruce was a great host! He provided clear transportation instructions, and even met us at the station-which is located very close to the apartment. The mobile wifi is a huge perk as well. We had a great time, thanks!

    April 2013
  • Me and my husband stayed at the apartment for 6 nights. The location is really great. Bruce was easy going, even though our plane was late. It was a little smaller than we had thought, but it was fine for the two of us. And the portable WiFi was very helpful. Having a kitchen was great, we were able to make breakfast before heading out for the day. Highlight of staying in this area, walking along the canal and getting coffee and amazing Hawaiian food lunch. I also bet it's very nice, during the sakura festival. Recommended.

    March 2013
  • Location, location, location. If you want to wake up and have great bread from the bakery before heading out, or if you want to hit cute restaurants in your street, or walk to the metro station 3 mtes away or go to Nakameguro and the canals, and experience a cool side of Tokyo this location is amazing! The apartment is cute, and Bruce has taken care of little details to make it inviting. Even though there are two beds, this apt is only for a couple or if you're traveling solo. Also it was SPOTLESS clean. I would recommend this place if you're a looking for affordability, cleanliness and location.

    January 2013
  • Had a great stay in this space. Location was great, we could walk to both Shibuya and Nakameguro in 15 minutes and it is a nice walk. If not, the Ikejiri Ohashi station is just a 3min walk away from the apartment. The street was so close to everything, and yet so quiet, but with excellent restaurants in the immediate area.
Bruce was helpful with whatever we needed, but we didn't miss much. The space was how it was described and what we excpected. A cozy place with a comfortable bed. Highly recommended host and space!

    November 2012
  • I had an amazing time in Japan, and the experience was only elevated by Bruce's wonderful accommodations. I really appreciated his thorough introduction to the space which was located in an amazing space. I look forward to returning to Japan and once again utilizing Bruce's services.

    Thank you!

    October 2012
  • Bruce is the man.
Very kind, very helpful in every way. He met us at the station, walked over to the apt. with us and got us all set up. Highly recommend staying at this apt. right near awesome Nakameguro and Shibuya.

    October 2012
  • Bruce is an excellent host and I highly recommend staying at one of his spaces in Tokyo. Bruce met us at the station and guided me around the neighbourhood, pointing at different restaurants to check out and where to pick up personal items. The space was clean when we arrived, towels and soap were provided. This particular space is comfortable for two people, and there is an extra futon. Kitchen is complete with a high powered gas range for cooking, fridge, toaster etc. It's one stop from Shibuya using the metro, or that distance is certainly walkable if you miss last train. Bruce also found me another apartment in which to stay after my time at this place expired. Thanks again.
