  • I spent a couple of nights at Brad's place in Roma, then left for Puebla for a couple of nights, then came back for one more night. He was gracious enough to let me leave some luggage behind while I was away, which was a big help!

  • I work for a nonprofit organization, and came to Mexico City for business. This place is probably not the perfect fit for business travel (no closet, no hangers, etc), but it won me over with its quirky charm. The location, while not so close to the metro, is in a great part of Roma, and the host's friend Rowena was super-helpful in general and especially when some complications arose with one of the locks. You definitely won't feel like a tourist here!

  • This is a perfect location in Roma; heart of the most hip neighborhood in DF and yet the apartment itself is quite quiet; I never heard any of the clubs or restaurants from the apartment. The only exception being the gas salesmen every weekday morning about 730am for a bit who yell out their sales calls but that's one of the sounds of Mexico City!

The apartment itself is really charming; kind of a hidden gem after making your way up the back metal stairway to the rooftop, there it is. It's filled with interesting art and decor.

A couple of things to keep in mind:
    - I like to cook and while the apartment was well outfitted and had full-sized modern appliances, the workspace and the tiny sink made things very tight.
    - the shower is tough to love. He's made the best of a small space but the hot water is very limited and everything gets wet.

Charles and Rowena were very responsive to emails and very helpful and no problems were experienced.

I love Mexico City and this is a great base to explore it from! Get yourself an Ecobici card!

  • My girlfriend and I stayed in this quaint penthouse for 4 months. We loved it! It is located on a happening street near a lot of great eateries and bars. Roma (where this place is located) is a real up and coming bohemian spot with a lot of character. The place is cozy and only meant for 1 or 2 people. The patio is lovely and since it is on the roof, you have a great view. Brad was a fantastic host who answered all our questions. Rhowena is his helper who lived nearby and always got back to us quickly. I would definitely recommend anybody to stay here if they want to spend extended time in Mexico City.

  • My partner and I stayed in this apartment for 3 months, from Aug-Oct. 2012.
The apartment is very well situated - close to the best parts of Roma, and only a 20 minute walk to Condesa, which has a wealth of parks, bars and restaurants. It is also close to the city.
The apartment is beautiful inside, with bright fuchsia walls and a blue kitchen. The table and chairs outside on the rooftop are perfect for outdoor lunches and dinners.
The host provided more information about the apartment and area than we could ever need before we arrived, which was fantastic! His friend, who assisted with letting us in and also with other questions that arose during our stay was incredibly prompt and helpful. The host was also very prompt and helpful when we had a small maintenance issue.
I would highly recommend this apartment for short or long-term stays.

  • This was the perfect Mexico City apartment, especially for its street-facing balcony and rooftop patio with its view of the Reforma skyline. Charles made sure the key exchanges were handled smoothly and that other questions and concerns, such as keeping the gas tanks charged, were seen to in a timely manner. The neighbors in the building are also very friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood itself is dotted with parks and great places to eat, drink and socialize. A very memorable month was made there indeed!
