Interaction with Guests
We are welcoming hosts, a happy midlife couple living in the same apartment building. We speak English, French, Dutch, Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian, and basic German. We are keen to welcome & accommodate one person or a couple as much as possible, as well as a family or group of friends renting more rooms. Welcome to Brussels!
Birds aren't singing, cows don't moo, and one cannot expect a dead silence in our downtown neighbourhood at any given time of day. Although, I love one doesn't need a car or use a public transport to get around and to stroll this vibrant, to many unexpectedly tiny, Brussels.
It is well located for public transport, with railway station Brussels-North (Gare du Nord) and metro station Rogier just few minutes walk away.

Lovely apartment!! :-)
We really enjoyed our stay in Brussels and hope to come back one day. Aida is a quite friendly person. She gave us all the necessary information we needed inclusive a city map. The noise from the near located north station didn't bother us, because we found earplugs in the diningroom. Besides we enjoyed the welcome beer, which Aida put in the fridge for us :-) thanks for all!!
Aida was a Nice person and the room was good. Great tips from Aida about places in Brussels. Thanks for having me over!
Aida was a great host! The check in and check out process was simple, easy and convenient. She was extremely helpful as she had a map of Brussels with all the key attractions and the location of the apartment. The apartment itself was exactly as in the pictures. It's conveniently located extremely close to the Brussels-Noord station which makes it very accessible by train. Everything was in excellent, pristine condition and I would definitely recommend to anyone staying over in Brussels.
This was my first experience with renting a private room and it was really great. Aida had everything prepared, communication was perfect and the room as a fantastic view (especially at sunrise). I definetly recommend this place and hope to come back.
Aida is very approachable and friendly; she met me at the time convenient for me, very promptly responded to all the questions and didn't put pressure on me out when there was some issue with airbnb processing the payment (didn't go through from the first attempt). She was also kind enough to make a quick introduction of what is out there in Brussels and what one can do. Kudos for the welcome beer.
The apartment is very clean and neat, wi-fi is alright, bed is comfortable and there is a desk to work at right in the room.
What I didn't like is that (probably) like in many blocks of flats walls appear to be made of carton - you can literally hear everything that's going on at the neighbors' flat. Moreover, the building is next to the railway tracks, and you can unfortunately hear them quite well. Both these facts made it difficult for me to properly sleep.
To be fair, Aida warned me that some guests had complained about the noise from the rail tracks; I would, however, put it in a slightly different manner - unless you're 100% sure you can easily fall asleep with some considerable noise in the background you might want to try a different accommodation.
In all other respects it's, as i said, good: centrally located, clean, well furbished, decent wifi, goodies like tea and coffee in the kitchen and very welcoming and considerate hosts.
Excellent apartment in Brussels. Aida and Berry were very understanding when I showed up late and were incredibly attentive when ever I had a question. If in town again I wouldn't contemplate anywhere else.
It was so good to arrive at Aida's place after a long day of work in Luxembourg! It was like getting home, as I have stayed there previously and already knew how great the place is!
I was welcomed by Aida and it was great to catch up! As usual, I slept like a baby in the very nice and comfortable bed. In the morning, I only had a few steps to catch my train to the airport from Gare du Nord!
Excellent location, fantastic host! My favourite place to stay in Brussels, I wish more of my meetings would happen there!

I like challenges and diversity, but most of all, human unpredictability and spontaneity. I love people, and enjoy the company of those who don't easily plunge into disappointment, past or daze, but are willing to explore, learn, and share.
