This house is situated 5 minutes by foot from the most antic street of Rome : the Appia Antica. You'll find the catacombes a couple of minutes by foot. (S. Callisto and S. Domitillo), the Coliseum and the historical center is 10 minutes by bus.
This house is on a safe residential block o on a very quiet and pretty neighborhood.
The 1st bus is in front of the residence's entry (On Via Ardeatina) that take you to Termini train station in 10 minutes ( where you'll find all the lines and the subway) but you'll also find other lines 5-8 minutes by foot from the house on Cristoforo Colombo street that will take you to the historical center ( Forum - Campo de' Fiori, Pantheon) in 15 minutes.
The house has a little garden with Terrace (with table, chairs, umbrella), space for car, barbecue and compost !
At the left side of the house there is the washing machine.
On the entry of the house, you'll find the dinner room and kitchen equipped with all the necessary (cooking utensils, oven, washing machine, plates...)
A lounge area with a sofa, fireplace (that you can use, we can furnish the wood), hi-fi, radio - CD and record player, there is also a piano that you can use !
Still at the ground floor (after 3 steps) you'll find a little bedroom with sofa bed and private bathroom with shower and WC. This bedroom is closed by curtains.
The whole house is equipped with A/C and heating system.
On the 1st floor, the main bedroom with double bed, private bathroom with bathtube and an ample wardrobe.
We wanted this house a little bit ecological so you'll find biological soap and shampoo and ecological cleaning products.
The garden is a permaculture and you'll also find the "compost".
The supermarket, bakery and Bar are 3-5 minutes from the house crossing a public park.

We had a very good stay in this house outside Rome. The little sunny plot with lizards, tomatoes and herbs was an oasis from the intense city. Just perfect when I travelled with my 6 years old boy, but I think I would choose the same even if I went without him. It was quite easy to reach different places such as the ocean, city and Tivoli. It was also great to spend a rainy day at home with musical instruments and board games. To stay in this non-touristy area also meant pleasant contacts with the local population and lower food prices.
We had such an amazing experience in ROME. We arrived quite late at the house and Dario was there to welcome us with a smile. He took time to give us some great advice about food places and and what to visit. The house is not very central but the bus will take you quite fast to the nearest Metro station and form there everything is very close.
We cooked a lot during our stay and the kitchen was very practical. The area is very safe. The house is charming and spacious. Same as in the pictures.
Thank you very much Dario for making our stay easy.
The place is very clean and really cozy and nice. I had a little problems getting the bus to the center of Rome sometimes but coming back to that nice place were just wonderful. Dario was nice and always helped me. :)
Dario was an incredibly helpful and attentive host, and the house was very well equipped and in a convenient location to get to the centre of Rome. Four of us stayed for three nights and found it very convenient with a supermarket and restaurants in walking distance of the house, and a bus stop nearby which takes about 30 minutes to get into the centre of town. Dario gave us lots of helpful tips about what to see and do, and the best places to eat in Rome which was great. All in all a great stay.
We absolutely loved this place. Cozy little place, which was nicely decorated and fully equipped. Good place to relax after the hustle and bustle of Rome. Dario is one of the nicest Italians I've met, and had some very helpful tips. All in all totally recommended. The only drawback I can think of are the mosquitos in the area, which is well beyond the powers of the renters :)
It's off the beaten path, but with really easy access to transit to anywhere you'd want to visit. This beautiful home gave us a real feel for living in Rome as a resident rather than as a tourist. We loved it. Dario is a great host and gave use the insider's perspective on where to go, what to do and, most importantly, where to eat.
Fabulous! I stayed here with my friend during the beginning of July and it was just the perfect choice for us to explore Rome. The house is placed in the middle of a lovely quiet residential area just on the outskirts of Rome. The house is lovely and the aircon a welcome addition after the hot sun of Rome! There is a bus stop literally right on the door step (bus number 218) which takes you directly to the center in a few minutes where you will find the Metro station San Giovanni and can then go anywhere you desire in Rome. I agree with the below reviewer that it’s such a relaxing area that it’s hard to get motivated to leave some days!
Dario and Claire are the perfect hosts, only to happy to help with problems (they live just behind) or give recommendations to some lovely places and eateries! Highly reccomended!
The house is very well located, ideal for maximum 4 people. Is just meters from the Park of Via Appia Antica, near supermarket and several restaurants in a quiet residential district. Buses connect the historic center in minutes. The best is the support of Darius, an expert in Rome who gave us all tips on bus lines, the best restaurants, the best gelato in addition to how to get the best and fastest bus lines. Darius is attentive and helpful. If we return to Rome, certainly back to the same house.
