We had a fantastic time at Willowbrook, we felt really at home and it was a much more authentic, homey Irish experience than staying in a hotel would have been. Tricia and Tom went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
Great hosts. Made us feel very welcome. Nothing too much effort. Good sense of humor and easy to get along with. Lovely area, houses around the outskirts of town very well kept and houses within the town look to be receiving a welcome tidy up. Some nice colors appearing to brighten the community. Understand the locals are getting behind an upgrade scheme. Well done :-). While in the area do NOT miss a visit to Neenah castle tower and climb the stairs which are built into the thick walls. A very good example of a defensive tower, great views from the top... And free!
Dinner at the thatched cottage nearby also great value and very nice meals.
Loved my pancake breakfast and gorgeous fruit
Tricia was a very welcoming and open host. The room was managed very well and accommodated my little sister and I nicely. We got lost on the way in and Tricia was there to help guide us as well as offering to warm up some food we brought with us, even if it wasn't a regular policy with them.
Her husband and her managed to book us last minute and despite the late hour of our coming in, they were very understanding.
The breakfast was wonderful and they were able to provide a gluten free option and a vegetarian option.
The minute we arrived at Willowbrook we were greeted with such warmth and (website hidden) Trishia. She made sure we would be comfortable, even showed us a choice of room. During our stay she and Tom were so helpful making suggestions and giving directions. The accommodations were comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The view from the dining room was so charming: fantastic garden. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. But most of all we will remember Tricia and Tom and what is obviously their love of meeting and hosting new friends. And by the way, they were that way with all of their guests during our stay. If we should find ourselves in Nenagh again we would definitely stay at Willowbrook.
Lovely rural location and yet not too far from City of Nenagh. Well appointed facilities, beautifully presented. Tricia & Tom were very welcoming and attentive hosts. They have high standards and pay great attention to detail. They were most helpful with directions. The breakfast selection provided was outstanding and tasted delicious.
Willowbrook was a beautiful home set in lush gardens that could be viewed from every window. The full Irish breakfasts that Tom cooked were just awesome. Our hosts could not have been more helpful with ANYTHING we asked. I had gone to research my ancestry. Tom and Tricia both helped with maps, gave us instructions/directions and we had success in finding what I was looking for. I would love a week just to STAY at Willowbrook and never leave to relax and recharge batteries. It was a fantastic place to stay.
