Can is a very kind and helpful host. He even provides you with a guidebook, written by himself! His office is in the next building and you can always go and ask him for advise and information.
The apt has everything you need for comfortable stay. Also the wifi worked well.
The location is excellent. Only five minutes from the Istiklal Caddesi and from the Tünel. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.
Nos sentimos como en casa, Can es un excelente anfitrión y su ayudante también nos ayudó en todo lo q solicitamos. Recomendamos al 100%
The directions to the apartment were great, and Can was very understanding at our late arrival due to a delayed flight. The apartment was perfect, a great location and lovely decor. Can was very helpful - providing a travel card was a real boost to our holiday. Brilliant!
Can didn't welcome us in person, but we arrived a little early, and he had some errands. His associate, Sinan, was very kind, showed us everything, and even gave us an Istanbul Card. The place was exactly as on the photos, really clean, and nicely furnished. It had every amenity you could think of. Yes, the staircase is a bit too close to the bed, and the ceiling a bit too thin, so if your upper neighbours aren't light footed, you will sometimes hear them comin and going, but it isn't much. The location was great, five-ten minutes from the Tünel-end of Istiklal street, but quiet (apart from the poor demented man, who lives nearby, and sometimes in the morning or in the evening screams 'abel' or something continously. that can be a bit disturbing, but you can manage), and clean. in short, it was a great place, worth the price, and if you are not especially sensitive to noises, I recommend it.
Kemal Can was away but Cem made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. He gave us lots of information about the neighbourhood and was helpful in every way. The studio apartment was just nice for 2 and was well equipped. The location is also good and we particularly like the nearby Kasimpasa which is a non-touristy area. However there's a bit of uphill walking involved to reach the apartment (not a problem if you take the historical tram). Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Stayed at this place for one week. The place took us a little while to find as the taxi driver didn't know the street name. Can (pronounced Jan) was very helpful. He met us at the apartment, showed us around, and had maps of the area. He provided recommendations for places to visit and their directions. The place is around 10 min to Istiklal street.
The place is as advertised, with very nice chairs! The air conditioner is effective and indispensable during the hot summer days. The only drawback is the washroom, where the "hot" water was tepid, and the shower occasionally leaked. All-in-all, I'd recommend the place.
The reservation was canceled 36 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
