De Blauwe Studio is a stylish stay in our boutique hotel that we have just opened in the completely renovated and preserved 17th century State Monument in the rural village of Westzaan. A beautiful place in the Zaanstreek, where we also like to welcome you to our restaurant, our picnic garden and Lex's bakery.

The space
Our blue room comes from Simon's (37) and Ira (3) cooker. It is a stay that encourages your senses with a special combination of statues. You sleep on the mezzanine that overlooks the picnic garden and meadows. Yes, you can write, draw or work at the French field office, but maybe you prefer to avoid the lazy armchair.

Many of our guests wake up in the morning to the smell of fresh croissants from baker Lex, and from the fresh coffee from the organic beans being burnt a few kilometers away (in the jail, but that's a long story..).

Our friend Lex can deliver breakfast to your room. Fresher is impossible because Lex is the third generation of artisan bakers to bake the bread and banquet on the premises. Among other things are famous croissants and the typical Zaans "divekater"! For €12.50 p.p., he brings a basket with a delicious breakfast that is different every time. Want gluten-free or vegan? Please indicate that. Booking fixed for during your stay? Then send us a message (please even).

During the day, many of our guests explore the famous, historic Zaanstreek, energetic sup’pen (rental 100 meters away), go to Amsterdam or laze in the garden.

Our restaurant and chef Syl are known in our area for celebrating local ingredients: for example, the meat we serve comes mainly from the organic cows that can be seen from our garden, but we also feed an extensive vegan menu. It's a good idea to book a table in advance. Go online to Jongwijs Westzaan and find our website where you can book.
We can also recommend our restaurant De Waterraaf. Beautifully located at Marina Nauerna. Here, too, it is wise to reserve a table in advance. Tap Havenrestaurant De Waterraaf in your search engine and find the website where you can see and book the menu.

Our garden has a wide view of the meadows, and hostess Nel likes to show guests around our boutique hotel.

Together with family and friends we wanted to make a place to enjoy the most beautiful and tasty things in our region. And we now do that with great pleasure, in our beloved national monument from 1635 (!) in the typical Dutch rural village of Westzaan, a stone's throw from Amsterdam. There we welcome our guests in three monumental guest houses fully restored in 2022, our restaurant, bakery and garden.

Our adagium is: nothing has to and (almost) everything is allowed.

Welcome!
