Dear traveler...you can stay in your own private room in a cute little house in walking distance to Alberta Arts District hotspots. Amenities include tempur-pedic king size bed, garden veggie abundance, farmer's market, bicycles in all shapes and sizes (with locks and lights!), dog and cat love, nearby parks/bike paths, wifi, flat screen tv/dvd/Apple TV/Netflix, friendly neighborhood bars, farm to market restaurant and butcher shop, trendy shops, and a local roaster coffee shop.
Conveniently located just 10 minutes from the PDX airport and an easy 35 minute jaunt to downtown via the bus/max line. In addition to being walking distance to Alberta Arts district, it is easily accessible to the quaint Beaumont and Hollywood neighborhoods.
For dog lovers, there is a fenced in dog park directly across the street from my house at Meeker Technical School and my back yard is fenced in as well.
I leave town often...so I may or may not be around, but if I am...would be into making a meal or two. Very close to main public transit lines to take you all over town. My favorite neighborhood hotspots are New Seasons Market, Old Salt Deli and Restaurant, Miss Zumstein's Bakery and Coffee Shop with locally roasted Extracto Coffee (both just opened!), Common Grounds Wellness Center for hot tubs and saunas ((website hidden)) and the Kennedy School for more hot tubs, food, and movies. I have a collection of Portland and Oregon travel guide books and maps to help plan your adventures.
Whether it's an overnight stay or a month long sublet, you will find many amenities in one of the best neighborhoods in Portland.
My house is your house--you are welcome to share my home and take advantage of all the perks in the house.
Our interactions will vary depending on my work schedule and travels. You might not see me for a couple days, or we could end up hanging out and having dinner together. I am really flexible and open to whatever interactions if I am around and not busy working.

I stayed with Debbie for two months while I got settled in Portland, and I feel lucky to have landed in her home. Debbie was a low-key housemate who was always easy to get along with, and Tiny the dog and Shed the cat were fun house companions. The location was great--a quiet, residential neighborhood that still had many shops and restaurants nearby. It was also close to the bus line that takes you right downtown, or to the MAX. I would definitely recommend staying with Debbie the next time you're in Portland!
This was my first airbnb experience, and I would rate it very good. Debbie has a cute place and I loved her mid-century furnishings and decor. Debbie is very laid back and we enjoyed playing with her adorable dog and cat, Tiny and Shed. Her place is very close to Alberta St. (15 min walk) and we had a wonderful meal at the Old Salt, a place around the corner and recomended by Debbie. If you are short on time and have a car, I would recommend driving and parking your car in the downtown/pearl district for the day and exploring on foot. Parking is pretty reasonable on weekends ($5/day). We had a great stay, just wish we had a few more days to explore Portland!
Staying with Debbie, Tiny, and Shed made for a lovely first Airbnb experience! We really just needed a place to sleep for the night so we couldn't enjoy too many of the amenities of the home or the arts district. But the house was so charming and comfortable. I definitely recommend the stay!
Debbie was a very enjoyabe host who made us feel at home in her place. We would recommend her for anyone looking to come home to a relaxed atmosphere after a long day out in the city.
Had a great time at Debbie and Shed's! Great location, comfy bed, and a neighbourhood that seems to be undergoing some interesting funkification... A definite recommendation, especially for cat-lovers!
Very nice house and a lovely cat. Quiet neighborhood and close to a lot of things.
Though we did not get a chance to meet Debbie, it was a pleasure to stay in her adorable bungalow in a quiet neighborhood of Portland. Debbie was fantastic to communicate with - super easy going, friendly and always prompt to answer any questions we had! Her house had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay, including a cute backyard to relax in. Would definitely recommend their home for someone's next trip to Portland!
Debbie, Shed, and Tiny were amazing hosts. She is warm and welcoming, and her gorgeous, tastefully cozy bungalow reflects that. The bed and guest space were wonderfully comfortable, the yard and garden are artfully tended to, and the kitchen was well stocked with cast iron skillets, lovely tools, and a great stove. I'd recommend staying with Debbie to anyone visiting Portland who wants a taste of Real, easy-going PDX.
The moment I stepped out of my car I was greeted by a super friendly kitty named Shed. She was adorable company for my three night stay in this lovely, artistic and conveniently-located house. The amenities (powerful shower, gas range, W/D and garden to nibble on) were top-notch and the back yard garden and patio are sublime to take it easy on and the ripe tomatoes were scrumptious. Deb is a cool lady with a cool vibe in her house!
Staying with Debbie was an absolute pleasure. She keeps an amazing house, is warm and welcoming, and always made we feel at home. This was my first airbnb experience, and I think I'm ruined forever! Really felt after staying with Debbie that I'd made a friend, and would highly recommend staying with her to all Portland travelers. Sweet animals, big bed, amazing backyard! (Debbie, put up some photos of your new backyard! It's paradise!)
