Newly Renovated Creekside Cottage & Hot Tub! (SCC#221304)

Nestled in the redwoods with a soothing creek in your backyard, this renovated 1940s cottage blends vintage charm with a curated mid-century modern vibe designed by my daughter, a Bay Area designer. Soak in the hot tub, relax creekside, or get cozy inside with a latte—you may not leave! If you do, enjoy wineries, beaches, hiking, scenic train rides, or Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Just a 3 min stroll to town from the memory-filled cottage.

The space
Cottage Creekside offers all the comforts of home, including a full kitchen, BBQ, and espresso machine stocked with coffee beans from our daughter’s shop, Koin Coffee (Walnut Creek, CA), and vanilla powder from Better Buzz (SoCal). You’ll also have access to laundry, a television, games, a record player, and high-speed internet.

Step outside and enjoy the outdoor spaces throughout the property. The side yard features outdoor dining, comfortable seating, and a fire pit—perfect for a morning coffee beneath the trees or a relaxing evening under the string lights.

Follow the steps down to the backyard, where you'll find our favorite feature—a year-round creek winding through the property beneath towering redwoods. Enjoy a walk down to the water, listen to the sounds of the creek, or simply relax and take in the beauty of the surrounding trees.

For outdoor fun, we've provided cornhole, oversized camping chairs, cots, and other outdoor games. Towels, a freshwater rinse station, and foldable patio chairs are available near the creek landing for your convenience.

Don’t forget to sign our one-of-a-kind guest book—it comes with a special invitation to leave a piece of your touch at the cottage and visit a charming antique store in uptown Boulder Creek, just a short walk away.

You’ll have full access to the entire home and all outdoor spaces, including the yard and the creek—it’s all yours to enjoy!

Dine outside while listening to the peaceful sounds of the creek. Pure bliss. Want to take a dip? A cold plunge is always an option! Personally, I’ll pass, but my husband loves it—how about you?

Other things to note
Being in the mountains, the cottage does not have central heat or air conditioning, though it’s rarely needed. For cooling, opening the windows in the evening usually keeps the space comfortable, and a few portable fans are available. For heating, the gas fireplace warms the cottage quickly, and small portable heaters provide extra coziness (please only use one space heater per room, more than one can trip the breaker).

Occasionally, power outages occur in the area. When this happens, we have a generator to provide temporary backup, and outages are typically brief.

If available, you may extend your stay before check-in or after check-out for $20 per hour.

The cottage is a three minute walk into town where several restaurants await. My favorite is the sushi place with some of the yummiest sushi I’ve had!
