Very comfortable and attractive 2-room suite with private bathroom in Old Town San Luis Obispo.
This beautiful recently remodeled home is very close to downtown shopping, restaurants, movies, and Thursday night Farmers Market.
The bedroom has a queen size bed (very comfortable - read the reviews!) and there is an attached sitting room in this lovely home in historic downtown San Luis Obispo. Private bathroom with bathtub/shower.
Very clean and very comfortable in a quiet neighborhood of beautiful Victorian homes. On street parking is readily available.
The sitting room contains a fold out sofa (also very comfortable!) that sleeps 2.
The per night fee is for 1 or 2 people using the bed in the bedroom. An additional fee of $40 per person is added if the sofa bed is also needed.
There are additional outside sitting areas on front porch and in the secluded back yard.
Walking distance from train station. SLO has a vibrant downtown only a few blocks away with terrific coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, movie houses, the historic Mission, and shopping. The weekly Thursday night Farmers' Market on Higuera Street is just 4 short blocks away.
Non-smoking guests only. No pets.
My dog, Harlan, is a very friendly outside dog.
You are welcome to put items in the refrigerator and boil water if need be but general kitchen privileges are not included.
One of the reasons I so enjoy renting out my rooms is that I get to meet so many interesting individuals from all over. I try to be sensitive to each person's need for privacy but I am usually around and very willing to suggest restaurants and things to do.
The City of San Luis Obispo recently began collecting transient occupancy taxes on short term rentals. The 10% tax is included in the room rate that is posted. So the actual room fee is $100 per night with a 10% tax of $10 for a total of $110 per night.
Arriving guests will need to make arrangements to obtain the key. Usually early afternoon works best but I try to be flexible.
Barbara and her lovely dog were very welcoming. She was very willing to provide suggestions of places to visit and eat at in SLO. She also was very respectful of the space I needed, as the trip was a getaway from life. The private suite was peaceful and provided a very cozy home away from home. I would definitely stay there again when I come back to SLO.
Very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Barbara is a great host, and the neighborhood is perfect for a stay in SLO. Easy walking access to downtown and a quiet pleasant location.
Fantastic place in a great location. Exceeded expectations! Beautiful suite with an incredibly comfortable bed (HUGE PLUS). Barbara has gorgeous art work all over and has taking great pains in making sure the suite is well appointed, convenient, and well stocked. Great location - walking distance to wonderful restaurants and bars.
Finally, Barbara is a wonderful person - would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Barbara was lovely and helpful. Directed us to the best little coffee shop close by and great food. Highly recommend staying with Barbara when in San Luis Obispo.
Barbara was an incredible host we loved staying at her place! The bedroom was in a separate section of the house but close to the front door so it was super easy to come and go as we pleased. Barbara's home was beautiful and she couldn't have been nicer. Super easy check-in. Only a few blocks to downtown. We stayed on a Friday night and were able to enjoy the farmer's market which is just a 5 min walk from the house. Highly recommend staying here if you're in SLO!
This is the neatest place we've stayed at thus far. The decor is fun and eclectic. Loved all the bright colors in the bedroom and sitting room. Walked downtown to restaurants. Perfect. Thank you, Barbara!!
Barbara was very welcoming, warm and friendly. Her home is lovely and just as listed (even better). The suite was large and well-appointed with lovely objects d'art. It feels very private, as well. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The location is perfect. It's right downtown and yet on a beautiful quiet street so you get the convenience of a 5 minute walk to the center of things and yet it's incredibly quiet. Barbara's dog Harlan is an absolute love. I would highly recommend Barbara's suite and would definitely stay again.
I have lived in San Luis Obispo County for 30 years and in this house for 4 years. Love it here! So close to everything. I am an artist and work out of my home. Also love to garden and cook.
I look forward to meeting you!
