Hi! I'm Shana and I look forward to meeting you!
I am renting out 1 bedroom in a two bedroom apartment. For this rental you will be sharing the apartment with me, and will be residing in a cozy bedroom all to yourself! It is a 2 bedroom 1 bath with a full kitchen. We have high speed wireless internet, a 39inch HD TV with cable, plus blu-ray player, chromecast, etc!
You are steps away from a laundry room with coin operated washer/dryer. The washer is $1 per cycle and the dryer is $.75 per cycle.
The apartment is situated in a small complex with very nice neighbors. For $5 extra per day you will have your own dedicated parking spot in the complex (parking is not a problem usually but it does depend on day, time, and events going on in the surrounding area).
Please note ***there is a cat in the apartment. His name is Walter Peter. He is neutered and has all his shots. He is very dorky and cute.
While staying in the small private room, you will have access to the kitchen, living room, bathroom, and balcony.
Interaction with Guests
Even if I happen to be out of town or at work, I am almost always available for any questions you may have!
The apartment is situated right above Sunset Blvd. in the heart of Echo Park. You are only a 5 minute walk from restaurants like Masa or El Compadre, bars such as Gold Room and El Prado, clothing stores, markets, and even The Echo/Echoplex and Lot 1 if you are interested in catching a live show!
You are only a 5 minute walk (.2 miles) from the intersection of Portia St. and Sunset Blvd., where you can access buses to take you all across the city! Union Station is 1.8 miles away if you are interested in taking the trains, subway, or the flyaway bus to LAX.
Smoking is permitted on balcony only. 2 guests only.
Shana was a simply lovely host. The place is adorable, the room is comfortable and has ample closet space so you don't just have to live out of a suitcase. Location is fantastic and really walkable to everything in Echo Park. Her cat is friendly but will leave you alone if you're not really a cat person. Shana could not have been more welcoming and accommodating, and I would definitely stay there again on another trip to Los Angeles.
Shana was very friendly and effective when communicating with us during our trip to Los Angeles. The neighborhood was central to many parts of LA and parking was a breeze in the area. The balcony was sweet and the area has a lot of great restaurants and things to do.
My stay at Shana's apartment was wonderful. The room was very clean, organized, and perfect for coming and going at odd hours of the day. Shana was very welcoming and accommodating. The space is perfectly located in Echo Park, within walking distance of most things, and I will definitely be coming back during my next visit to LA!
Super nice host in a really nice neighborhood! Due to an accident that happened to Shana's mother and a lot at work, she spent a lot of time away from the apartment, but we settled in and got the apartment basically for ourselves during our visit. The bedroom is small but with a closet and room to put your stuff. Since we didn't have a car and were dependent on buses, the location was perfect with a busstop that took us to downtown in 20min just 5min walk away and another busstop to venice not far from there either. And after spending some time in different areas I think Echo park is the nicest one to live in. There are good restaurants with a variety in price range, cheap food stores, nice boutiques and second hand shops.
Shana was the perfect host! We were made to feel completely comfortable throughout our stay. Her place was clean, airy and full of light (with a nice view, too!), and in a neighborhood within close proximity to a lot of fun entertainment and dining options. She was polite, cool and fun to chat with, and her cat Walter Peter was a sweetheart, too! We would definitely recommend her place to anyone looking to visit Los Angeles.

About the Host, Shana
I am Shana! I am from a suburb about 20 miles outside of Los Angeles and have lived on the "eastside" for about 6 years now. I love it! I enjoy music, gardening, generally hanging out and being happy :)
Cozy spot with lots of new beers to try. Nice outdoor patio. Tip: You can try a delicious beer for only $2 during happy hour!
Cramped bar with a juke box - fun if you like that kinda place! $5 shot and a beer, free tacos and peanuts, and a diverse crowd.
The Park is good for anything from burgers to eggs benedict! Check out their daily specials.
DELICIOUS Chicago-style deep dish pizza & the rest of their menu is great as well. Decor is eclectic and cute. Wait times can be long but they let you pre-order your pizza so it's ready when you sit.
Walk around the beautiful Echo Park Lake, take a nap on the lawn, or rent a pedal boat!
Access to Amtrak and Metrolink trains, subway stations, and the Flyaway bus that will take you to and from LAX for $8!
