  • Kathleen is an awesome host! She's so friendly and made us feel right at home. The apartment is just as described and actually maybe a bit bigger than I expected. The neighborhood was nice and quiet even on such a busy weekend as the Bridge Run. Great location we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Would absolutely stay here again!

  • Kathleen was fantastic. Very accommodating, warm and friendly. She was also great with communication. The location of the apartment is a cool neighborhood and close to King St. Apartment itself was great and had all we needed. Kathleen even dropped off some homemade biscuits and fruit on Saturday Morning. Would absolutely stay there again.

  • This apartment was everything we were expecting. A beautiful Victorian home with comfortable furnishings and thoughtful decor. Kathleen is a most friendly and gracious host. We had homemade muffins, jam and fresh fruit waiting for us in the morning. The house is in a great location with lots to walk to within a mile or so. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Kathleen is an incredible host. The upstairs suite has everything you need - comfortable bed, separate living area with a full kitchen, and a clean bathroom. The host is very kind and informative, yet unobtrusive so you can enjoy privacy. I would recommend her property to anyone visiting Charleston and in need of a safe, cozy stay downtown

  • This is a delightful apartment with an even more delightful host. Kathleen was very welcoming and generous -- made us a delicious breakfast both days and had lots of good local recommendations. The location is prime -- nestled within historic Charleston, which makes walkig everywhere easy. Don't pass this one up!

  • Kathleen was a fun and friendly host and went above and beyond our expectations. She also makes amazing biscuits. It was such a pleasure staying in her home!

The location of the apartment is perfect, right by some of the new critically acclaimed restaurants on King Street and a few blocks away from an inexpensive bike rental shop—a great way to get around the city. You can definitely walk anywhere from the apartment. The apartment itself was spacious and even better than it looks in the pictures. We'll definitely be back!

  • Kathleen was an excellent host, and the apartment was even better in person. Just off King St in a quiet neighborhood, the space has lots of natural light, a full kitchen (Kathleen stocked us with milk and eggs), and plenty of space for two. Kathleen provided breakfast and afternoon snacks. We felt at home from the second we arrived, and will definitely be back.

  • I stayed here whilst attending a conference in Charleston. It was in a great location (a short walk to Marion Square) and my host was fantastic. The apartment was fully stocked with everything I would need, from towels and bedding to fruit and nuts to keep me going between presentations. There was even beer and wine in the fridge! Kathleen brought delicious breakfast to my door each day and was on-call at all times to answer any quesitons I had. The apartment is a beautiful, clean apartment and I would recomend it to anyone wishing to visit Charleston.

    Response from Kathleen:

Have no idea how the listing bacame automatic booking. We were already booked weeks before this automatic acceptance. Micheal was happy with it getting fixed 10min. after he booked and after I saw the mistake so he was free to make another choice.

  • The reservation was canceled 9 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Great place to stay if you're visiting Charleston. The guidebooks all mention how friendly and polite everyone is, and Kathleen proves them right a dozen times over! Lots of space and lots of light. Perfect for a couple. Located within walking distance to King Street, which is the center of nightlife and has a lot of exceptional dinning options. Also, Kathleen provided us with anything we needed: scones, umbrellas, milk, etc! It was a true BnB experience!

I think you will love the location as we ride our bikes and walk everywhere. The apartment is the exact one that Sir Robin Knox-Johnston booked with us last year. My husband at present is the director of Historic Preservation at Salve Regina and soon we will be selling this wonderful home of 21 years to be in Newport,R.I. I can't imagine living any place else other than Charleston but in truth we are but sojourners on this planet. And Newport will be the next adventure.
