About This Listing
The stunning penthouse
I live in Redfern, in the landmark apartment building - Lawson point. The apartment is 245sqm with a massive wrap around terrace that has uninterrupted views over the Sydney city and extending as far out as the Blue Mountains. There is wifi, air-conditioning in all rooms, bed linen and towels. The large modern kitchen is of commercial grade with solid black marble bench tops.
The large open plan living area has TV, DVD player, Apple TV access, BOSE sound system and three entry points onto the large sun drenched terrace. The wrap around terrace has aspects facing North, East & west, so it gets sun all day. There are two outdoor dining area's, landscaped plants and a water feature surrounded by large evergreen trees.
I no longer smoke, unfortunately a great many interesting people still do, so smoking is permitted on the terrace only.
I have two rooms available. Both have queen size beds, air-conditioned and well appointed with crisp white sheets and towels. The guests rooms are serviced by a private bathroom.
A continental breakfast of cereal, breads, Jams, Juice, Tea, Coffee and seasonal fruits are provided. The kitchen has two full sized dishwashers, so it's easy to clean up after cooking.
The hippest suburb of Sydney
Redfern has "come of age" over the last couple of years and is now regarded as the hippest suburb in Sydney, with numerous coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries and small trendy bars all within minutes of the front door. Saturday mornings there is the Redfern Farmers markets which has an amazing range of fresh produce, and always worth a stroll.
The Redfern railway station is directly across the road and is just minutes to the CBD, and Bondi. No need to change trains, it's a direct line. Whilst you are here, your room is your sanctuary and your privacy and independence is guaranteed, so you won't get your bed made on a daily basis, but you will get what the hotels can't offer, such as a warm friendly environment.
So, if you want to experience this fantastic apartment, and share in the joy of what I call home, then you are warmly welcomed.
Smoking allowed on the terrace only
If security key is lost $100.00 fee charged for replacement
Patrick was friendly and very helpful in giving advice about the surrounding area of the apartment.
The location is really convenient (across train station) and room was clean and comfy. I enjoyed my stay and am very grateful.
Patrick is a gentleman. All was perfect.
I was like with friends.
the home is very confortable and the view all over Sydney is fantastic.
If I come back to Sydney, with pleasure, I would like to come back to see them.
thank you for everything
hope to see you soon
Patrick & George were great hosts and they are clearly Airbnb professionals! Their home (and particularly the balcony) was great with everything you need close by and the train station literally 1 minute away. They provided lots of advice on where to go and things to see and do nearby. They are very social and more than once offered for me to join them for dinner or a glass of wine. Just a note that the bed is a futon so if you don't like hard beds then this may not suit. Also sometimes they smoke on the balcony so if this bothers you or you have asthma, just be aware of that. Neither of these things bothered me as I was out and about most days and nights for work and I can happily sleep on a futon. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here as I felt very comfortable and well looked after x
No puedo decir nada negativo.
Peter and George made us feel welcome in their home.
Apartment amazing, neighbourhood perfect and that balcony was more than i could have imagined...well worth a trip to this place.
Peter was super handsome, George was super rich and generous guy. Both are super nice hosts ever. I stayed with them for a week for a conference in Sydney. Advantages; One minute access to Redfern station, and many good restaurants around there. They were very friendly, welcoming and kind. Peter recommended me some restaurants which were nice. Views from the apartment is spectacular! Disadvantages; the room might be a bit small so you need to fold your stuff again and again. There might be another guests because they have two guest rooms, so you have to share the guest bathroom which could irritate you especially when you are in a hurry. However, I could become friend with another guest, which was a great experience!

About the Host, Peter-Patrick
Hello, my name is Peter-Patrick. I have been living in Sydney for 12 years with my partner. We have been hosting travelers/tourists/professionals for over 5 years now.I grew up in Ireland, ( God's own country!) and I have lived in London, Dublin and Berlin and now Sydney. I love to travel and meet new people so I get a lot of enjoyment out of having new folks in my home. It's always great to hear about other folks experiences and ideas. I love the outdoor Sydney life-style and when the sun is out I'm either cycling, running or swimming, ( I can't let a good day go to waste.) We BBQ a lot, so apart from the breakfast bar, (tea, coffee, toast, cereal, fruit, etc....) if you are around in the evenings you might get fed too.
I consider myself pretty relaxed and easy going. I speak German and am learning Spanish, (Berlin and Barcelona are my other favorite Cities.)
For a lot of people Australia is a once in a life-time trip, ( given the cost and distance,) So we want to do our small bit to make sure your stay here in OZ, ( God's other own country! ) is memorable.
