About This Listing
I rent a private room in an apartment that is city centered (Viamonte & Suipacha), situated in the same block as the city government.
It is a lovely antique apt. that has been refurbished. It used to be an exclusive art gallery.
It has a big living room at the front with balconies, a small kitchen and a bathroom with original restored bath tube.
The bedroom has Wi Fi internet connection included!
The room has three doors and a window. There is air conditioning in the apt. and a tel. to receive phone calls.
Although the area is noisy, the bedroom is not.
It is close to many important streets such as Cordoba Avenue, Carlos Pelegrini, Corrientes and 9 de Julio, in a very convenient location. It is also close to both Plaza Fuerza Aera Argentina and Plaza de la Republica. Really centric, easy access to all city parts!
Doorwoman every afternoon.
Be very careful with the door, do not let anybody in when you get in and out of the building.
When I went to pick up the key, Brenda was angry to me for having two friends with me, neither of which had booked the apartment with me. She said it's strictly forbidden to let anyone else into the building and added that the room is not a hostel. Apart from this our stay was ok. The bed was good and the apartment had adequate supplies for a one-week stay. The floors were not very clean and the balcony had broken glass in it. The WiFi worked well most of the time and the location is great if you want to be downtown. Our biggest problem was that we were two friends renting the room, and we only had one key. That brought on big problems in planning our schedules. Take that into account before you book this apartment.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This house is pretty cool, it's a great deal for the amount of space and the location. I'm vegan, and it's close (10 min cab ride) to several great vegan options: Bio (restaurant) and Natural y Noble (prepped foods & raw foods grocer), there's also kioskos nearby with lots of great fresh veggies.
As with any big city - people are on the lookout for tourists. Make sure not to look like a tourist and you'll be fine.
Brenda was a great host, provided prompt and courteous responses to any questions I had.
I stayed here for 8 days in Winter. Shared the 5 bedroom apartment with 1 other person. The house itself is muy lindo, lots of cool paintings and the doors are antique and beautiful. The rooms are big and the heating/aircon is adequate. Its slightly grungy in parts of the house, but the facilities all work and its clean where it counts. The price is fair for a short stay and the location is very central. The host was very helpful and there are cheap laundromat services and grocery shops around the corner. Recommended for anyone travelling on a budget by themselves or with a group of friends and wants to get away from the dorm rooms of a hostel.
