  • We had a wonderful experience!. Jerry and Vonnie were great hosts. We really enjoyed chatting with them. The casita was more than we expected. Great location at the foothills of the mountains. There was plenty of wildlife to see and enjoy, plus the horses. We will definitely go back.

  • We had a wonderful time at Casa De Caballo in May. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, lots of hot water, towels, and the AC worked well. Though the kitchen was a little small, Jerry made sure the barbecue was in good working order, and we sat outside for all our meals. The unexpected surprise was how the fridge was stocked, with milk, OJ and waters, eggs, yogurt, bread, crackers, butter, and even a bottle of wine…. way more than anticipated. They really go the extra mile.

Vonnie is the horse lady, and what a gem she is. She gave me a lesson with Cotton (one of her horses,) and we followed up with a ride on the trail close by. I have never ridden a horse before, but Vonnie was a great teacher, and I felt very comfortable. I really hope to go back and take another ride down the trail.

They are very relaxed and courteous, helpful when needed and discrete when you just want to sit back and watch the birds in the tree outside the room. We wholeheartedly recommend Casa De Caballo to the Airbnb community.

  • It could take a while to list all the things we liked about Jerry & Vonnie's Cas(ita) de Caballo, but I want to emphasize their warmth, generosity, and hospitality in all of our interactions. Vonnie is as intelligent as she is kind, and gave my traveling companion and me some really great horsemanship lessons that we really treasured, and the casita itself is lovely, very comfortable and stocked with enough breakfast for a five-day week for our one-night stay. We just wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks again. Hoping to return soon!

  • We had a great time at Casa de Caballo! It's cozy, peaceful and idyllic. Jerry and Vonnie are gracious, welcoming hosts and are happy to give advice on the best places to
visit while in southern Arizona. Their horses are friendly, as well!! We will be back!

We also enjoyed the peacefulness, relax environments surrounded by sounds of nature. Overall, we had a wonderful time here. We will definitely come again!

  • We had such a relaxing stay at Casa De Caballo, we didn't want to leave. Jerry and Vonnie are wonderful people and fantastic hosts who always go the extra mile to make their guests comfortable (Vonnie even literally went the extra mile as she walked us out to the beginning of a hiking trail to make sure we could find it ok). The casita was spotless and the fridge was well stocked. We loved how the casita was decorated and it has all the comforts of home, including wi-fi and DirectTV. It was so nice to wander out to visit the horses for a bit, then have breakfast on the patio watching and listening to the birds. We also enjoyed ending the day on the patio listening to the crickets and looking at the stars - it is so quiet and peaceful, yet still close enough to the city to be convenient. We usually like to try new places whenever we travel, but the next time we are in Arizona, we will be coming back here for sure.

  • Vonnie and Jerry like people and have a world of experience to share. They are the best hosts. Their love and care for animals is apparent. .The casita was spotless, the bed was huge and soooooo comfortable. They stocked the refrigerator with everything needed and more. The place was so relaxing, wonderful views, lots of wildlife and of course, hanging out with the horses was fabulous.. Both Jerry and Vonnie went the extra mile to make my stay special. I had a great vacation and hope to return for a visit in the future. This place is perfect for single travelers, but they just added a cute little room with bunk beds so now it is a wonderful place for families as well.

  • We stayed 1 night at the ranch with Jerry and Vonnie, but we could have stayed there for a week!
We loved the place and the room they provided is so comfortable, we especially loved the bed and the soft towels...
We went on a hike with the horses: Geronimo, Clutch and Cotton in the mountains, it was so unique... reminded us how beautiful life can be!
Thank you for a great stay and a special thanks to Vonnie, who really made us feel at home and was so kind to us!
If we come back to that States, we'll direct the route to Tuscon... ;-)

  • After a long drive from our holiday in San Diego we arrived at Casa de Cabello. The hosts welcomed us and escorted us to our casita, the horses curiously glanced our way, and the birds sang us a song.
The casita is a comfortable and well appointed large studio decorated in a ranch theme. We slept amazingly well there once we learnt to close the windows before dawn as the birds set up morning choir practice bright and early.
The hosts Vonnie and Jerry clearly have been in this business awhile as they efficiently created in a very short time an ease, a trust and a sense that we belonged.
We were fairly active while at the ranch and Vonnie and Jerry seemed to anticipate out next request and they would gently recommend an activity, a restaurant, or a hike. They never steered us wrong! And we greatly appreciated their assistance- although a word of caution, Vonnie's maps are not to scale!
Thank you Vonnie and Jerry. Like most of the other reviewers, we stayed only a short time and we regretted that. We without hesitation recommend this AIRBNB location and suggest a longer visit than a weekend. We definitely plan to return for a much longer visit.
