The Space

Hi there, and thanks for considering my home for your stay in Ann Arbor. I am LGBT friendly and strive for everyone to be comfortable in my home. This beautiful, quiet room has a queen size bed, plus an alcove with a full futon mattress, and a large couch. There is also a ceiling fan and full closet. Private bathroom with large tub and shower. This (email hidden) to book if you want a queen size bed, if you have several guests, or my other room is already booked (Lovely Ann Arbor Room Near Downtown). I also have an extra Airbnb room next to this room if you have extra people and want more space. With the two rooms booked together, there are beds for 6 people. This works well for large families, or friends travelling together who want their own room. Let me know if you are interested, and I'll send you a link to the extra room. My home is a mile from downtown and Michigan Stadium, 2 miles to campus, and a two minute walk to the Ann Arbor bus line. I have a big kitchen, cozy living room with a fireplace, lots of books, wifi, main floor laundry and, outdoors I have a gas grill, two patios and a fire pit, plus a hammock. From my backyard you can walk right into a beautiful wooded area with paths. I offer a self serve breakfast of homemade granola and yogurt with fruit, and coffee and tea. I have lived in Ann Arbor for more than 30 years, and love it here. I'm happy to host you and share all the great things to do and see in Ann Arbor, and, you are welcome to all the privacy and quiet space you need. Please let me know if you need more information about my home.

Check In
  • Lisa was not around during our stay, but the check in and check out process was extremely easy. It was easy to communicate with her, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Lisa's accommodations to any one staying in Ann Arbor!

  • I stayed with Lisa for three nights. The room was large, well lit and clean. it looked as advertised. there was a private bathroom for use next to it (not ensuite)

the house is well situated (5 minutes drive from the main Ann Arbor CBD), large kitchen area with plenty of room to make breakfast, read the papers, even do some work. Lisa had nice granola and home made yogurt, and coffee all available. the backyard looked inviting, including having a hammock ( I didn't actually use it)

she's pretty cool....good with info on the area, just to chit chat or just leave you to your space if that's what you want.

I would definitely stay there again.

  • I loved the lovely backyard, the access to spectacular woodland hiking trails, the quick and easy drive to the university, the comfortable room, and the meditation space adjacent to our room! Regarding hanging out and chatting, I found myself following our hostess' lead, rather than the other way around.

I have lived in Ann Arbor for the last 30 years, and love my town. I have a beautiful, historic house on the old west side, a 20 minute stroll to downtown and to Michigan Stadium. I am a 5 minute walk to the Ann Arbor city bus stop. My rooms are cozy, private and very comfortable. I am LGBT friendly and want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome in my home. I offer coffee, tea and homemade granola with fruit and yogurt for your breakfast. My home is super cozy and easy going. I currently have two rooms available. Both have their own private bathroom, with bathtub and shower. There is free wifi and laundry, a lovely backyard with table and chairs, hammock and a fire pit. Eberwhite woods is right next door, which (email hidden) for a walk. In the cool weather, I always have a fire going in the living room, which you will have full access to. You can also have access to a fridge for your food, and if you want to cook up something, that's fine too. I work as a school social worker in the county juvenile jail. I run a non profit organization called Selma Cafe that supports local food initiatives and sustainable agriculture. I teach yoga, and I love to knit, garden, cook, kayak, swim, and in the winter, cross country ski. I speak a little Spanish, I love to travel, and I enjoy hosting guests in my home. I look forward to connecting with you.
