About this listing
The apartment is a good sized studio with a separate kitchen and one bathroom. Lots of light in the apartment and two elevators in the building. Right now there is a futon bed with a thick and comfortable mattress. I prefer a very minimal aesthetic so there is no clutter in the space and very open feeling. There's also a walk-in closet with space to hang your clothes and an empty dresser as well.
Everything you need right outside... The building is directly across the street from beautiful Prospect Park in a very nice neighborhood, steps away from the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the Brooklyn Public Library. There are numerous delis, cafes, and restaurants in the neighborhood, some of which are open 24 / 7. Express subway station (Q and B trains) is located directly behind the building for easy access to all of NYC. Enjoy what New York has to offer!

We had a really nice time staying at Matt's place in NY. We enjoyed the clutterless space and proximity to the Prospect Park subway station and the park itself. Matt was a great host, very helpful and friendly!
This is the second time I've rented this apt for my sister and everything was great. Matt is super friendly and accommodated us with the check-in and check-out time. I love the area since I live here too :) Will definitely continue to rent the apt whenever I have visitors.
We were let in by a friend of Matt, a very nice and helpful guy. The apartment was clean, neat and just what we needed for our stay: a private little nest in the midst of NYC. The area is very well connected, You can reach Manhattan in literally half an hour from Prospect Park station, which was no more than a 3-minute walk from the apartment building. There are several great grocery stores within a 100-meter distance. Since we spent most of our time in Manhattan, it was a relief that we could easily reach Matt's place once we felt exhausted enough to return home. Highly recommended!
The Studio is very close to the Prospect Parc Subway Station. It takes you just about 2 minutes to get there. There are trains leaving directly to Manhatten (Chinatown, Timesquare, Central Parc) and to Coney Island.
The closet was very spacious, so it was easy to keep the suitcases in there.
Easy AC System!
Matt provides adapters, umbrellas, enough towels,....
Matt was very nice showing us the Studio, explaining gadgets,... Perfect host!
We also apreciated very much his flexibility about the check-in and -out times - we had free choice!
We definitly recommend this studio! :)
Great stay in a great place! Matt made the stay feel fun and safe and was willing to negotiate for check in and check out times.
My boyfriend and I both had a great stay at Matts loft. It was conveniently located right next to the subway with express lines that go straight into Manhattan. The park right across the street was very nice as well. We didn't spend too much time in the apartment, however it was clean, and it had the basic necessities we needed. Our only complaints were that the bed was a little uncomfortable, and it was a bit noisy in the morning with the subway and construction noises. However, we honestly had no problem sleeping, especially with the air conditioner blocking out most of the outside noises. The neighbourhood is decent, and there is a cheap grocery store not far that we enjoyed buying our food from. However, if you're looking for a nice restaurant, you may have to travel a bit. Overall, we had a great stay, and would stay again!
The apartment's location, next to the park and the subway, is ideal. Matt was very communicative and flexible. The apartment itself is simple, and the chairs are somewhat uncomfortable. The subway can be heard quietly from the apartment and there is construction going on nearby during the week that is fairly loud. Matt provides earplugs and an eye mask if you are a light sleeper. Overall, a good value for the price.
