Just 3 blocks from downtown Biddeford's galleries, shops and restaurants and a 10-minutes from beaches.
I'm an artist who used to host in Portland, and I am thrilled to be offering space in my home for Airbnb again.
My proximity to downtown means that my place is on a street that can get a lot of traffic on weekdays - especially during morning and afternoon commute times, though it's fairly quiet at night. I sleep out there whenever I don't have guests and love it.

The space
Your room is literally right on the river, with a view of a bridge. Herons, shore birds, ducks, yellow finches and even the occasional loon populate the river, and will greet you in the morning with their gorgeous flight. The building itself is no great shakes- a white rectangular box basically. Its plainness belies the beauty of the interior and river view. The neighborhood is vintage Biddeford - working class, post-industrial, and getting more and more gentrified every day.

Where you’ll be

Biddeford, Maine, United States

I live on Spring Island in Biddeford. It is a somewhat industrial area (with a lumber yard and auto parts store.) My place is about 3 blocks from town center with restaurants, an organic grocery, small shops. The walk to town center is via Elm Street which is always busy.

I am an artist (painter, I work in many mediums, though lately, mostly in encaustic...), traveler, reader, Buddhist, and therapist with a glorious and lovely room on the river I think you'll enjoy. I'm new to Biddeford after a couple of years away from Maine and am just getting to know it myself. They tell me this is where all the hip people went when Portland's prices went through the roof. I just know I found a gorgeous apartment and I love living here.
I've developed a theory that when they came up with the concept of heaven, they were sitting in this room, on a Summer evening, with the windows open and the breeze coming through (Website hidden by Airbnb) In the past I travelled around the world and my favorite thing about that was the people I met along the way - which is why I like Airbnb so much - the people!
