About this listing
Private bedroom with Queen bed and shared bathroom centrally located in Midtown Atlanta close to the Fox Theater, Peachtree Street restaurants and shops, and Piedmont Park.
The condo is a nice, two bedroom, one bath (bathroom remodeled in October), with a full-kitchen, Midtown Atlanta condo which was renovated just a few years ago. The private bedroom has a new queen size bed, closet, nightstand, and dresser as well as everything you would need for an enjoyable stay.
The condo is equipped with a wireless internet connection, a large flat-screen with digital TV, Netflix, and a Blue Ray DVD player. There is free street parking (you may have to walk a few blocks from parking on Friday and Saturday nights due to a business in the area).
Located in the heart of the city, the fully furnished condo is a ten minute walk to Piedmont Park, the Georgian Terrace Hotel, the Fox Theatre, and the shops along Peachtree Street. If you'd like to have a truly Southern dining experience, the third-floor condo is a five minute walk to the famous Mary Mac's Tea Room. Located in the neighborhood around the corner from the condo, is also an authentic Cuban restaurant named Papi's nearby that the locals favor. If you are looking to have a fine dining experience, Top Floor is located just two blocks away.
The condo is a thirteen minute walk to the North Avenue Marta train station. The train runs directly to and from the airport (half an hour to forty-five minute ride). I suggest taking Uber or Lyft (I can provide a free first ride on each ) to get around the city. Parking can be cramped on Friday and Saturday nights due to a business in the area, but you should be able to find a place within a couple of blocks. Sunday - Thursday, you may park in the parking lot across the street. But, generally, a car can be accommodated. I'm easy to work with and will try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Let me know how I can best accommodate you. Also, you are welcome to use pots, pans, plates, utensils, and any appliance in the kitchen. Coin operated washer and dryer are located in the basement.
You will have access to the entire condo with the exception of my bedroom.
Interaction with Guests
I usually have a fairly busy schedule throughout the week and weekends but will usually be around in the evenings and can answer any questions you may have.
Midtown is a vibrant, diverse, neighborhood with an extensive selection of restaurants, nightlife venues, and shops. It is centrally located between Downtown and Buckhead. The neighborhood is a mix of large, beautiful, single family homes, condos, and apartments.
Atlanta is a commuter city which heavily relies on personal vehicles as the preferred method of transportation. However, there are some public transportation options. There is a bus stop near the condo as well as the North Avenue train station a thirteen minute walk away. The train is most useful for getting to and from the airport as well as to Buckhead. Taxis, Uber, Lyft, and Zip cars are all available as well.
Please be careful to not hit the walls with your luggage when going up the stairs as the hallway was recently repainted. No loud music (use best judgment). Damage must be paid for. Non-Smoking inside. Please keep it clean as much as possible. Not responsible for personal property of guest (don't leave valuables in plain view in your car). You can park in the parking lot immediately across the street from the condo Sunday - Thursday, street parking Friday and Saturday. There is a door code for the condo I will provide. Much Thanks, Will
This apartment is in the best location. Walking distance to Takorea,Mexican and Korean fusion. So yummy. The neighbor is a quiet safe place, we felt comfortable walking at around at in daylight and night. We would definitely stay here again.
William was a great host and provided us detailed instructions for how we would arrive to his place once we got to the airport. My stay with him was mostly business, so with a nonstop schedule and his work schedule we ran into each other a minimal amount, but the conversation we did get a chance to have he was very friendly!
When we arrived there were towels, soap, and shampoo out on the bed like if it were an actual hotel room. He also offered us codes for free Uber and Lyft rides. On top of all that, the location was absolutely perfect, felt very safe, and was a short distance to everything we wanted to do and see in Atlanta. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Midtown!
William was a great host! His apartment was very clean, decorated beautifully, and matched up exactly to his description. When we arrived he had fresh towels and shampoo for us waiting on the bed, which was a very kind gesture. My friend and I went out a lot during our stay because we were celebrating a birthday, and his place was located very close to everything. Our uber rides lasted no more than 10-15 mins each. Because our schedules were opposite of his work schedule we only met him in person twice, but during those interactions he was very kind and asked us if we needed anything. Overall, he made our stay in Atlanta very enjoyable. His place was extremely comfortable and he was a great host. Would definitely stay here again!
what a great stay!!!! Very close to everything. Comfortable bed and Williams suggestions were great for Atlanta. My flight had me arriving into Atlanta at 7 am and he was very accomaidating with my check in. I would highly suggest staying with William.
William was quite accommodating, and his apartment is exactly how he described. Comfortable, decent for a single, and great connection to internet. Mary Macs was as described, food is definitely a plus in Atlanta. Location was close to everything you'd want to see in Atlanta. One suggestion; use Uber or Lyft, don't rent a car, parking in the neighborhood is very much like parking in Hoboken, NJ [read non-existing].
Otherwise, William was quite kind, and was pretty flexible around getting into the apartment on your schedule.
From the vibrantly colored walls to the lush branches outside our bedroom window, 696 Argon ave is quite the steal. My sister and I traveled to Atlanta for a music festival in Central Park which was only two blocks away. We found street parking, friendly neighbors, and a cozy room. The apartment was very accommodating to travelers, not to mention there was tasteful artwork, furniture, and literature. Will is a courteous host and we utilized the kitchen for the food we packed and coffee in the morning. Highly recommended!
