This is a private unit (not shared). There is shared yard area with table and chairs that is for your use. Keep in mind that since the shared laundry is in the same area, other guests may venture into the yard to use the laundry. Since the other guests have their own outdoor space, it's unlikely they would "hang out" in this area, but it's possible you would see them when they or the housekeeper use the laundry.
Interaction with Guests
I'm pretty "hands-off" but available by text, email or phone. I try to leave things set up and provide all info needed via email or in the FAQ binder you will find in unit.
NO SMOKING; NO PETS; NO PARTIES. We do require a signed rental agreement prior to arrival.
I put up a client while working on a project with us here and she had a wonderful time. Thanks!
Family of 5 just stayed at the cottage. It was a little tight. Kathryn welcomed us with a binder of information, chocolate, and a bottle of wine. Super nice of her. We had to contact Kathryn as the toilet was clogged but she sent a plumber right away. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the cottage. The sheets did not seemed washed and the pots and pans were dirty. The pictures show the place a lot larger than it really is. The location was great. We were able to walk to the ocean and drive anywhere quickly. Overall location great, size of place and cleanliness a little disappointed.
Kathryn was very accommodating and helpful. Me and my wife stayed in her two bedroom over the weekend in Santa Monica. She made our trip a very pleasant one. The apartment is spacious, and she left chocolates on our bed! We had a slight issue with the lock and getting into the apt, but Kathryn was there immediately and was able to walk us over the phone to get us into the apt. Very helpful! Would highly recommend staying here.
I travel to LA with my grandparents and we have a great time there. Kathryn´s apartment was perfect for the three of us and very comfortable. The location is amazing for the beach and for Promenade Street, and is also near the airport. With the freeway Santa Monica you have an easy access to Downtown, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Disney and Universal Studios. I rented a car and it was always easy to park near the apartment.
I had a very good communication with Kathryn, she gave me all the instructions with time so I could prepare my arrival.
I recommend this apartment!!!
Seul point positif : l'emplacement !

About the Host, Kathryn
I've lived in Santa Monica since the mid 1990's. I've always enjoyed the perfect weather, walking around the Promenade, and exploring great restaurants.
