Nice located apartment is central London close to major city'sites and shopping mole. Plenty of restaurants and coffees bars and theaters.
Right next to Carnaby Street, 5 minutes walking from Oxford Street, the apartment is cosy and well (website hidden), internet are also available.
Spacious one bedroom flat on second floor of this well located property. Soho is one of London's major entertainment districts with numerous theatres, cinemas, nightclubs, restaurants and bars within the immediate vicinity. Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Leicester Square tube stations are within easy walking distance. This accommodation is also close to and is well connected to some of London’s famous attraction.
The accommodation has a well equipped kitchen with washer, dryer, cooker and utensils and cooking equipment.
The bathroom has a bath as well as an electric shower, towels and toiletries are provided for all guests.
The bedroom has one double bed, wardrobe for your personal belongs and in the living room it also has a sofa which unfolds into a double bed (this is to facilitate guests who do not want to stay in the same room) and in addiction a sofa to chill out while watching TV. There are enough storage facilities for four people. This bedroom has the necessities that will make your stay comfortable. One of the main features of the bedroom (praised by my friends) is the double glazed window. This was recently installed to block noise (people and vehicles) which was previously an issue.
Overall this is a well decorated, modern, conformable, and most importantly safe apartment. You will love it!!
WIFI is AVAILABLE with unlimited access for multiple users at the same time!
Please switch off all the electric equipment before leaving the property and make sure that also the central heating is switch off.
Good communication with the host.
The apartment is tidy and good for short terms stays, basic furnitures and the location is totally worth the money.
The flat is in great location and convenient for anyone visiting london.
Lucy is very friendly and helpful.
Big thumbs up :)
It was a great stay at Lucy's apartement. You're basically in the core of Carnaby Street but "far" enough to sleep quietly if you need to.
Everything's close : the underground (Oxford Circus), shops, M&S, everything you need.
The apartment is clean, functional, and big enough to welcome 4 people. There are a "I love you Phillip Morris " and a "Yes Man" Dvds, and as Jim Carrey is one of the greatest, it's a plus. Even if the apartment is a bit aged, this is definitely a great place to stay in London, and we'll surely be back.
Lucy is a nice and helpful host ; it is easy to stay in touch with her, before and during the stay.
You may confidently come to London and stay at Lucy's apartment
The house is at a great location, in the central of the area but very quiet. The house is exactly as described on the website. Lucy is really nice and allowed us a late check out. Thank you!
As Lucy had alerted us prior to our arrival, the housekeeper was the one who we met when we check into the apartment. The housekeeper was very friendly and showed us around the place. Location-wise, the apartment is conveniently located just off of Carnaby Street, right in the heart of central London.
However, the positive points end there. The apartment is extremely cramped and not very clean, despite us having to pay a cleaning fee. We did not dare to use the kettle as the inside of it was caked in a thick layer of muck. The beds (one metal frame and one sofa bed) are very squeaky and the mattresses are rather thin, but the sheets are generally clean.
Even though it's a non-smoking apartment, the bathroom smelled like an ashtray. The shower was another issue altogether. Every time you turn off the shower, the water immediately turns cold again, so you have to keep the water running while you take a shower (so that it doesn't surprise you with a blast of icy water). This isn't so much of a problem until you realise that you have no where to hang the shower head as the holder is broken. This means you have to get creative with holding the shower head with the water running while you try to shampoo your hair.
On the whole, the apartment is extremely basic and desperately needs a revamp and a deep clean. While we were definitely not expecting something fancy, we did expect to stay somewhere that was at least clean and somewhat comfortable (and had drinkable water). At the end of the day, I'm not sure that the convenient location of the apartment is worth tolerating the level of cleanliness.
Perhaps Lucy could check in on the apartment to ensure that the place is suitable for guests before the next person checks in.
- location, location, location
- 1 electrical plug converter for US plugs
- the bed and futon both had very thin mattresses and stiff pillows
- no hand soap in the bathroom / hand towels
- the shower nozzle was broken - had to hold it the entire time showering
- no instructions on how to use the washer / dryer unit
- the housekeeper wasn't finished cleaning when we dropped off our luggage so we had to kill some time to come back and then shower to start our day sightseeing
- noisy area at nighttime, was hard to sleep for a few hours
Overall, while it wasn't the most "cozy" AirBnB, I would stay here again just purely based on the price and location.
