Guests from Singapore to Santa Fe, Manila to Melbourne, all have raved about my parents' property called Bellevue Farmstay, nestled in a hillside at Scotts Creek in Victoria's South West. With majestic views from all rooms, our self-contained farm house on this working family farm has three bedrooms, large lounge and family rooms (with additional sofa beds), a dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen. Plus, a wood-burning heater, spa bath and private outdoor swimming pool. Families and large groups love the rumpus porch for kids with chalkboard wall, Leggo and totem tennis.
Meet our pets: beautiful Nikki (Golden Retriever), young Tess (Border Collie), Penny (Siamese cat), Innie, Fred and Bazza (alpacas) Sam (sheep) and Annie (a sheep who thinks she's a dog), Acca (goat) and Frannie (the retired horse) who patiently waits for a carrot from guests. Plus you will likely run into native wildlife (koalas, echidnas, kookaburras and kangaroos) on the walking trails.
An easy 2 1/2 hour drive (or train ride) from Melbourne, we are just 20 minutes from the breathtaking Great Ocean Road and world-famous Shipwreck Coast featuring the spectacular Twelve Apostles, Port Campbell National Park, London Bridge and the Bay of Islands at Peterborough. Pick your own delicious strawberries at the nearby Timboon township, famous for the historic Timboon to Camperdown Rail Trail. Cuddle a koala or drape yourself in a python at the Cudgee Wildlife Park. Tour the amazing volcanic lakes and craters at Camperdown or the magnificent ferns and soaring forests of the Great Otway National Park.
So join gregarious hosts Wendy and Warren Couch, the fourth generation owners of Bellevue, to enjoy the views, take a bush walk with some wildlife, map out some day trips around our magnificent region or just simply relax.
We had the most wonderful Easter Break at Bellevue farm. Our hosts, Shelli-Anne’s parents Wendy and Warren, were so attentive and gracious. They made our stay so special. It was beyond our expectations. The accommodation was very comfortable, from the linen on the beds, fluffy towels to the fire ready for lighting. Wendy had even put special kid doona covers, Princess Poppy and Thomas the Tank engine, on the 3 and 5 year old’s beds for us.
We all enjoyed feeding the sheep, alpacas, goats, cows, especially Moo and playing with Tess and Nicki (the dogs). I think the highlight for the kids (big and small) was the tractor ride in the paddock. The visit to the dairy is a must. Wendy and Warren were so informative and no request was too difficult. Truly lovely hosts. Their thoughtfulness and hospitality made our Easter break very memorable and we will definitely be back in the future.

We're an affable Australian family who are adore Atwater Village and love sharing all the local treasures. Shelli-Anne was awarded 'Atwater Villager of the Year' by the Chamber of Commerce and just received 'Woman of the Year' in 2014 by the local Congressman so we're pretty well versed in our neighborhood! You'll mostly meet us walking our two daughters (and rescue pup Wally) to nearby Atwater Elementary School, riding our bikes along the LA River, or out on the deck enjoying the SoCal sunshine.
