Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • I travelled to San Jose Del Cabo for Ironman Los Cabos held on March 30, 2014. I hope this review is helpful for IM athletes who may consider staying here on race week. First, Nikki and Roccio are so easy to get a hold of, communication was seamless, checking in and out was easy, so all went as it should. The condo is located directly across the street from the host hotel, Barcelo Gran Faro, where check in, packet pick up, and race morning shuttle transportation were held as well as the location where Tri Bike Transport was setup. This made everything so easy and efficient. The condo is on the run course with the finish line being approximately 1 mile away; at the finish I was able to walk back without any problems. The condo is clean, has a kitchen, and basic amenities you may need. There is no AC in the bedrooms but there was a fan that kept up comfortable. Overall, no complaints but I would say this is a no frills place. This is a great place if you're on a budget and racing with friends and want to stay in the same place.

  • Our stay at La Mansion was awesome! It is a massive condo with all the amenities that you could want. Very central in San Jose del Cabo within walking distance to restaurants, bars and the beach. Niki and Rocio are extremely easy to deal with and make you feel really welcome. Hopefully we can come back and stay one day!

  • We had a great time at Niki's condo, it was the perfect location.
The bed was very comfy, after a long busy day.
Niki & Rocio were both very helpful in every way.
We were there for 4 days, but wish we could have stayed longer. So many things to see & do. We are looking forward to our next trip.
    Thank you Niki

  • My new wife and I had a wonderful time. You can literally see the ocean from the front door - although it looks like a large hotel is in construction that may block the view in the next year or so. But in any case, the beach is less than a five minute walk. A decent golf course view is out back. It is within walking distance of the Mega (Mexican grocery store), a Wal*Mart (should you be so inclined), and downtown San Jose (a little further).

The condo is large and very well maintained with tile floors and showers, a huge bed, and modern appliances. Big television with Canadian satellite service (odd, and fun). We never even used the second bathroom and bedroom. It was too big for one couple! But still affordable. We would absolutely come back here. The property manager was very polite and available and speaks both English and Spanish. They brought a fresh change of linen halfway through our week-long stay.

I really have no complaints. There are only a couple of what I would call "quirks".

Someone near the back balcony occasionally smoked weed and we had to close the doors to keep it from blowing in the bedroom. Not sure if they were owners or temporary residents like ourselves.

The pool is nice enough, but is not heated. It was still warm enough to swim in the first part of December (although too cold for a long soak), but by February it would probably be unpleasant. The ocean was still warm so we didn't care and had a great time snorkeling at several beaches that were a short, cheap bus ride away (ve seen.

  • We just spent 3 1/2 weeks at Nikki's lovely apartment and could
not be happier. We had a car only for the last week, but were able to get around by bus and walking without problem. There is a lovely swimming pool at the small complex and the Sea of Cortez is just 5 minutes away. Though not for swimming, you can walk for hours along the shore where we saw a baby sea turtle taking its first swim away from home.
The location is perfect for Los Cabos--you can easily walk to the large Mega and to San Jose's picturesque plaza with its lovely Thursday night art district displays. Great food is nearby in a wide variety of cafes and restaurants--lovely view and breezes on the 2nd floor Shooters Sports Bar overlooking the plaza. This is an especially large apartment and you will be happy if you choose to stay here for your Cabo holiday, complete with Canadian tv so you can cool off by watching ice hockey and hurling in the evening. We can't emphasize too much the advantage of staying in laid back, clean and quiet San Jose, rather than the hectic overcrowded Cabo San Lucas which is
easily visited by bus, if you want to visit there or are taking a cruise from its yacht harbor. Thanks for a great stay, Nikki! (and a big thank you to the onsite manager Rocio who was helpful throughout our stay). Kay & Nick from London, England

  • Niki first of all is a great host. She is very happy to help in trip planning, has great insight into the area and always willing to reach out to her friends in area to get you a better deal.

The condo is very nice, the 2 beds have GOOD matress's on them that are comfortable, nice high quality sheets ( we were there for a month so that was important). The condo faces north so it does not overheat in the day and we had no need to even turn on the A/C. lovely view of golf course and great balcony to get out of the sun and have a drink. Canadian satelite is a bonus for us canadians.
Close enough to Mega mall to get groceries , wine, beer etc without need of car. The beach is easily accessed by a passageway between the gran faro and its neighbour hotel. Niki provided beach blanket, and umbrellas as well as lounge chairs if you want them, the beach is just 3 minute
walk away. If you need a taxi there is one just outside your door. The traffic dies away at at 9 pm and it is very quiet at all times in the rear of the condo.
Our month stay was also assisted by PAMELA who is the condo manager, she insures the complex is always clean and if you need anything locally pamela is always ready to help out. They also have nice neighbours John and Carol who were very kind to us, hooked us up with cheap whale watching in private boat, and gave us lots of tips for tours and trips.

Must hit el TORO Guero restaurant. not a tourist place , hard to find but if you do and can get past the dirt floor and the dogs in the restaurant, has the most amazing seafood. Try the octopus, to die for!

    great vacation spot!

  • As other reviewers have said, Niki's condo is lovely, well furnished, spacious, fantastically located right across the road from the beach and in walking distance to downtown and the MEGA market. Get some breakfast items at MEGA so you can enjoy your morning on the balcony watching the hummingbirds and woodpeckers! Both Niki and the condo manager were friendly, helpful, and available. We had a great time!

  • It is a great location, close to the beach and you can walk to the old town section of San Jose from the Condo.

Niki's condo was clean, well furnished and has lots of space. Niki was easy to communicate with before and during our stay. The Condo complex has a manager there 6 days a week and she was very helpful also.

Restaurant Tip: our favorite restaurants in San Jose were Guacamaya's and Teo's. As you would expect, the restaurants in the old town tourist section of San Jose have higher prices. Guacamayas is located in the newer section of town further up the hill so it is a better value.

  • Niki's condo in Cabo is amazing, me and my family were impressed. The condo is very spacious, nicely decorated, nice patio overlooking a golf course. Niki went above and beyond to fully stock the condo with everything we could need in our vacation, she even gave me a guide to cabo restaurants which were great. The condo is very centrally located, you can walk to the beach, to some plazas, very safe area. Nikis assistant is also very nice, she makes the check-in transition very smooth and simple.

Buen dia! My name is Niki, currently living in Ontario Canada. I lived in Mexico for seven years, six of those years being in Los Cabos. I love Mexico, I love the culture, the food, the people, I love Cabo and wish I could continue my life there however, my parents are both going through some challenges with their health and I decided it would be best to move back home to Ontario. I turned that condo into my home with all my heart and sole and I would love for others to enjoy the beauty of Los Cabos and the beauty and tranquility of my home away from home. Treat it likes it's your own and enjoy :)
