Simple, quiet and very illuminated 1 bedroom apartment inbetween Principe Real and Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon. The apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator. The “go up” tough is quite doable and OK. It is a perfect bet for 1 or 2 people. The apartment is 5 minutes from Avenida Metro Station (BLUE LINE) and 15 minutes from RATO Metro Station (YELLOW LINE).
This is the most CENTRAL you could get. You will stay within walking distance to Bairro Alto (night area), Baixa-Chiado(downtown), Marquês de Pombal, to Lisbon's high design Avenida, to Hot Club of Portugal (Jazz Bar) and to Principe Real. Principe Real is one of the most noble neighborhoods in Lisbon. A true hip paradise with little design shops, restaurants, gay bars, dance clubs and cafes. It is home to the Botanic Garden of Lisbon, The Garden of Principe Real and in 20 min walk you are in Jardim da Estrela or Parque Eduardo VII. This is the very center of the city of Lisbon, you can pretty much walk everywhere in and across hills. CENTRAL CENTRAL CENTRAL is key word for this location.
You enter it, you are in the living room you find a place to hang your coats, art books, a lot of toys here and there, a black and white vintage cable TV with 6 channels, a puzzled couch and a record player (Bring on your vinyls!). To the left is the sleeping room with a spacious bed with two individual matresses connected, lights on both sides and a nice hanger for clothes. To the left of the living room you have an equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, mixer , toaster, orange juice maker) and a TOP magnificent view of the City of Lisbon, it feels like a SKY LOUNGE and you can see a lot of Lisbon’s Top Atractions from here. It is great to see the day rising, the sunset and all the lights coming on at night. From the kitchen, there is a door to the restroom in which you can have very delicious hot showers. The apartment is rather charming and colourful and it’s view and location are really quite unbeatable.
Wireless internet is available, Sheets and towels provided.
There is also available a washing machine which is shared with our neighbors, and out the kitchen there is a drying rack.
Map of the city, a nice personal city guide experience on PDF from the host + indications of what to do/go + a contact person.
If you're in for the cozy, small, but very illuminated top of the city experience like experience, you're more than welcome to stay at this 2 artist lil' oasis.
Doubts and + info, needless to say write me back and I'm all yours.
Principe Real is a really nice hip bourgeouis, gay and arty neighbourhood. It is very central and from there you can easily walk everywhere. Here there are many gay bars, little boutiques, nice cozy cafés, and nice gardens in the vicinity: Jardim do Principe Real, Jardim da Estrela, Jardim das Amoreiras, Praça das Flores, Jardim Botânico. You are next to Bairro Alto (most popular night hang out of town with hundreds of bars), Rua de São Bento (that hosts Amalia’s Museum House, the Portuguese Assembly, and lots of vintage furniture shops), Rato ( Closest Metro Stop, Post Office and house of a delicious Japanese) to Praça
da Alegria (with a great jazz club and a delicious ukranian vegetarian restaurant) and Avenida ( the Lisbon version of 5th avenue) with nice cafes outside in quiosks, Cinema S. Jorge – a beautiful old cinema that hosts all sorts of events, and the best magazine shop in town. Principe Real is rather safe. The funny thing about it is that even if it tends to become poshier and poshier, it’s still an old and tradional Lisbon Bairro. So there is a curious mixture of worlds going on in here.

Antonio appartement was just what we needed for our stay in Lisbon : very well located in a neigbourhood with many nice antique shops, bars and restaurant close by,... not super fancy but perfect for us ;-) We were nicely welcomed by Antonio's friend Ugo who gave us some advice on arrival. We'll definitly go back there if we come back to Lisbon!
Lovely experience. I really liked the apartment, it's full of interesting things (photos, books and much more). I couldn't meet Antonio, but his friend Gustavo was really kind to me and he also took me out my very first night in Lisboa. They were both ready to help me whenever I needed. Great position, great house, great hosts. Thank you so much!!!
Antonio is a great host! He was always very helpful and kind and we could phone him and his friends whenever there was a problem! The Apartment was great! Better than expected! Its in a quite neighborhood but you could easily walk into the town quickly! We had some really nice days in Lissabon thanks to him and we would come back to his apartment every time!
This funky, quite large, bohemian apartment is in a great location. It has the best view ever. Very easy walk to subway, trams & busses. We had a fantastic time in Lisbon. Confirm your booking with confidence.
This flat is amazing! Great views and prime location. Antonio was out of town most of the time , but his friend Marta helped us out immediately when the gas ran out and came across town with a new cylinder! Definitely recommend this place without reservation. Cheers Antonio!
Despite I couldn't meet Antonio in person I can say he's a very cool guy. The way he managed the check in and out, with the help of his friend Marta, was smart. The little flat has a lot of charme and features all you can need. If I'll go back to Lisbon I 'll stay in his flat again.
