You are guests on a working farm with cattle, pigs, lambs, goats, ducks, geese, chickens, guinea hens, rabbits, border collies and livestock guardian dogs AND all the sights, sounds and aromas that go with a working farm.

No pets allowed on the farm. We love dogs (we have 8) but because the livestock guardian dogs work hard day and night to protect our livestock, your pet would be considered a threat to them and is not safe on our farm.

Denese and Tom were very warm and made us feel like treasured quests at their working farm. It was inspiring in to watch their hard work and the care they put into everything they do. The farm tour was very enlightening and our kids were invited to help with chores. Denese cooked us a hearty breakfast every morning. Even though it was a cold fall weekend we stayed warm and toasty in our room. We would definitely go back.

The private room was great and had everything we needed. The farm was easy to find through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps and directions from Denise. Breakfast was fabulous and dinner at Fable was a highlight of our trip! Tom and Denise were excellent hosts, very attentive without being intrusive. The star gazing from the yard outside the private entrance was awesome, no city lights to distract from the view. We would happily stay there again.

Better than we expected in every single way! We found the home easy to find. The room was spacious, comfortable and charming. As animal lovers we were thrilled at the opportunity to meet the working dogs as well as the other animals that live on the farm. Denise was gracious and accommodating. Her culinary skills are excellent! She made us a dinner and breakfast the next morning that made us feel that we were staying with a family, not just guests among strangers at a hotel chain. This was our first stay with an AirBnb property and it definitely won't be our last. We hope to stay with Denise and her family again and recommend anyone visiting the area to do so as well.

We liked the pictures and when we got there it was even more beautiful! We were pleasantly surprised to find the bathroom attached to the bedroom and found a lovely livingroom/library. A good collection of books. Very clean...very cozy. The family was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and a good amount. We had a good coversation with Denise, felt like we knew them. Outside we had fun with the friendly dogs and being around with farm animals was a good experience. The sunset was lovely but the sunrise (up the hill near the farm) was amazing! We will definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at the bed and breakfast on the farm. The space is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The farm is beautiful and we enjoyed a tour before having an incredible dinner at their restaurant. In the morning we were served a breakfast filled with all farm fresh ingredients. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to visit again!

It was a pleasure to stay at this gorgeous farm B&B! The countryside couldn't be more beautiful as one winds your way to this country retreat, and Denise & Tom were lovely hosts. The accommodations are comfortable with true rustic charm, a lovely antiques-filled sitting room, and spacious modern bathroom. A delicious home-cooked breakfast was elegantly served in a great-room addition to the main house, and it was a pleasure to chat with Denise & Tom about the history of the farm and more. We wish could have stayed longer to enjoy the farm landscape and surrounding area!

Denise, Shane And Tom User ProfileDenise, Shane And Tom is a superhost.

Farm owner with husband Tom Warren and son Shane of Stone & Thistle Farm, a grass based livestock farm, Kortright Creek Creamery, a goat dairy and small creamery and Fable=farm+table - a seasonal on-farm restaurant. We are passionate about farming, great food and sharing with our community. Our busiest time of the year is May to October when we do farmers markets, farm tours, dinners and brunch and Fable, farm events, farm chores, projects, building, repairing, vetting, gardening - but we are never too busy to meet new people and learn something new and different. As a guest on our farm, you can participate in farm chores or relax on the farm, eat great farm fresh food, enjoy nearby hiking, swimming, skiing or shopping for books, antiques, visiting farmers markets, museums or state parks.
