The place was very nice, we stayed here for 14 days and the owner, Morice, was nice, gentle and helpfull. Playa Langosta is a calm place, near to Tamarindo which is more noisy and expensive than Langosta. The room was big, with a small kitchen,a private bathroom with hot water and a small living room with tv and (website hidden) was in the kitchen and in the room ther was a fan. We spent great time here.
Room was as described and the location was really close to the beach. Everyone was super nice and we liked it. If you are looking for a nice, safe place to stay while in the area then this place is a good value.
Frederico was most generous in accomodating my almost midnight arrival (delayed plane flight) and getting out of bed to met me with the key.
Only stayed for two nights: the second night there was no tany water but again Frederico was very responsive in getting the local water company to repair the next morning.
Frederico mentioned that the "beach" was only a block away in a particular direction but all I found was mangroves.
The quite neighborhood and the almost next door food shopping fit the billl perfectly.
Fede was very helpful to make sure I arrived smoothly to his place (he ever offered me a ride from Avellanas where I was staying) and whenever I had a small problem (like the lights not working, electricity down which btw was a problem for the whole surrounding region) he was always quick to reply or come to the house to fix things. The place is nice and has that Melrose Place feeling to it. It can be really calm on most days with occassional BBQs organizes by Fede. Overall all the other guests staying in the house were nice people easy to get along with. The rooms are a bit small but for the price I think it's totally worth it - not to mention the location close to beautiful Langosta beach. Lovely Tamaris is there almost every day all day long to clean and help out with laundry.. Fede is really accomodating and you will have an easy relaxed time staying here. There's even surf boards to rent and bikes to use for free. I would definitely come back and stay there again! Pura vida Fede!
Enjoyed staying here. It was clean and quiet. Nice to have a pool after getting sunburnt at the beach. Was a quick walk to downtown Tamarindo and 2 minutes from Playa Langosta which was quiet but really nice. The rooms weren't the best equipped for doing your own cooking. After cooking there one we gave up. Didn't get room service after the first day which would have been nice because there was sand all over the floor.
A guy named Morice who offered fishing, monkey tours etc, was the best part of the hostel and would come by every day to see if we needed anything and let us come to his house to see monkeys!!
Federico, was very nice and let us have our two poodles, which was great. Very close to the beach, and gave us an opportunity to have a great beach day.
Frederico is the best host! He drove me to the grocery store, to those who could fix my computer and have helped at all the questions I had.
I like Playa Langosta better than Tamarindo when it's a wilder beach and much less people.
It's easy to walk into the Tamarindo, take a bus or taxi.
I recommended Sunset Inn to a friend who came to visit two of the five weeks I stayed.
Next year I will stay for four months :)
Loved to stay at Sunset Inn!
