Check In
  • Visiting Copenhagen for the weekend, this apartment was a perfect place for our group of 7 students! The rooms were very spacious and clean, with large windows as well as some places to sit for a group.
Location was good; about 15 minutes to center along a nice park, and less than 10 to Christiania area, as well as plenty of reasonably priced places nearby for dinner – pizza place in the same building was good and Asian restaurant ‘Magasasa’ down the street was excellent (and cheap!).

Would highly recommend if you would like to feel at home in Copenhagen. Thank you Carsten!

  • Carsten is a very reliable person and dealing with him never caused any problems (it's not the first time I am staying with him).

The apartment is located at the edge of Amagerbro, just across the lake from Christiania, which is nice, because one can hop onto a bus stopping just outside the apartment and in 5 min be in the city centre.

The room where I stayed was clean and had a big TV-set, but it's more on a basic side. There is also a shared bathroom and kitchen. Also very clean, but basic. In short, OK value for money.

  • My accomodation was changed for some reasons, but still was OK. Mr. Carsten , owner of appartment is very, very hospitable and provided all the best for my comfortable stay in his appartment. I give many thanks to Mr. Carsten for great service.

  • Great place to stay! Trust me, this place is a fantastic deal for what you get, much better deal than the actual hostels. The location is very good, close enough to the city to walk downtown (though buses can be used to make it quicker). However, I highly highly recommend biking as the Danes do, you can really be anywhere in 10 minutes through dedicated bike lanes. Carsten rented me a high quality bike for cheaper than anywhere else. The accommodation includes a nice private room, quiet, with very fast WIFI. The bathroom is hostel style, standard for the budget traveler.

  • Excellent multilingual host! Managed to arrange 14 bikes for us how awesome is that?
Great location -staying at Carsten's can be warmly recommended!

  • I've stayed three nights at Carsten's place. The place is very well located, around five minutes from the Christianhavn metro station, the room was cosy, very comfortable and clean and Carsten and his wife have been fantastic, helpful and always smiling. Highly recommended!

  • nice room very well situated but the bathroom is a shame of old materials, and almost one bathroom and toilet for all the rooms of the 4th floor , which means about 6 rooms !!! The kitchen is kind of mix of old and not clean (which is not the case but not finished floor, old furnitures... I could not imagine to make even just tea Inside !

  • First off, this is in a great location so you can walk easily to the city center and Christianhavn. It is also right next to the bus stop so very convenient. I stayed at the Guesthouse on the 4th floor and the room was pretty nice with proper bed and TV. The rest of the place seemed to be in a kinda weird state with half of the kitchen having tiles laid down but not really installed and the bathroom and shower were also a little odd. The 2nd floor flat seemed to be nicer and is the main flat so I would try to stay there if possible. There was a mix of travelers and locals who were either semi-permanently living there or just staying the night due to work. I was expecting more of a hostel-ish, traveler community where everyone was hanging out and cooking or drinking but that was not the case however I'm sure that it all depends on who else is staying there while you are there. Carsten was really nice and helpful with things to do in the city and they were organized with coffee and everything else. Carsten was also very responsive as I booked only a few hours before check-in while at the airport so that was much appreciated! Overall it was good place to stay and a great bargain due to the location. If you just want somewhere comfortable to crash after sight-seeing and being out all day then this place is perfect.

  • We were traveling in a group of 12 Student what often seems to be a problem... Not for Carsten!

We had an amazing time thanks to him. He has been a great help showing us a lot of nice places.
The flat has been fantastic. I personally have been traveling a lot in my life staying in a lot of hostels. But I can definitely say this one has been the top of all. Very nice rooms, well equipped kitchen and nice neighbors. Yeah, and of course Carsten. The perfect place to stay.

    Thank you again
