Riad Essaada is ideal for those looking for a peaceful resting place close to the most important monuments and attractions of Marrakech at affordable prices with the plus of feeling like you are at your own place.
We dispose of five rooms with private bathroom and air conditioning. Breakfast is included in the price and is served each morning at the place you desire. Coffee and tea are free throughout your entire stay.
We can arrange your transfer from the airport to the riad and vice-versa. At you arrival, you will be greeted with traditional Moroccan hospitality, Moroccan tea and pastries. At your room, complimentary bottled water and fresh flowers await you.
Thanks to the traditional Moroccan architecture, the riad is a small oasis of freshness and tranquility minutes away from the colorful and loud chaos of the souks. While in the riad, enjoy yourself in the bhou (outside sitting room), the patio, take a splash at the 3x2m pool, get cozy in the inside lounge, feel the breeze or get your tan at the terrace.
The neighborhood has a wide offer of dining options but if you wish our cook can prepare any traditional homemade meal you desire (price depends on time of day and does not include drinks).
We are also available to organize day excursions to nearby places like the Ourika valley, Ouzoud Waterfalls or Essaouira and longer excursions to the desert like Zagora or Merzouga.
Riad Essaada is very well located at the heart of the medina in the Mouassine neighborhood at 8 minutes walk from the famous Jema El Fna square. The neighborhood is very well equiped with all sorts of crafts shops and groceries shops, coffees and restaurants (Cafe Arabe, Terrase des Épices). It is also close to other main attractions like the Madrasa Ben Youssef and Koutoubia Mosque. The city center can be reached in 15min by car from the airport and the bus station is 15min away by foot.
This listing is for the Zagora room only (double room with ensuite bathroom and air conditioning).
Be respectful to the neighbours and staff as well as to other guests of the Riad. This ensures that, in case of conflict, people are always polite to each other without insults or scandal.
Bear in mind that Morocco is a Muslim country and although alcohol is sold on shops and supermarkets, consumption is only allowed indoors and it is strictly forbidden by law to drink it on the streets.
Nice enough place. Jaouad is amazing. Make sure you set a time with him ahead of time when you're showing up. We had to come back a few times before another guest let us in. Also, even with the instructions, it's tricky to find. Have someone pick you up and show you the first time. The breakfasts were good, I liked the rooftop patio, and yah! A good experience.
A great and peaceful Riad that's perfectly tucked away amidst the craziness of the Medina. Jaouad was a lovely host that ensured we were properly looked after. From taking us to all the appropriate shops and showing us where to get delicious meals.
Would highly recommend.
