This is a very peaceful space. So bright and airy and in the most beautiful country setting with a view of fields of corn. The frequent clip clop of passing horse-drawn buggies was like a window into a bygone era. The loft was super clean and nicely furnished, and our hosts were very helpful and kind.
We had a great stay at Blacksmith's Loft and we loved the place very much. It is nicely furnished and very cozy. Jane & Steve were very easy going and a very nice contact. Would definitely stay there again! Thanks Jane&Steve!
Janell and I spent a week of our honeymoon at the loft. The Warners have created a completely self-contained, inviting and comfortable space. They are wonderful hosts and proprietors! Regarding the area - we were looking for a quiet place with easy access to the Stratford Festival and Toronto. Heidelberg is in the heart of Mennonite country, with fresh farm products and frequent horse-and-buggy sightings. If you visit the St Jacob's Farmers' Market, be sure to cross the street to eat poutine at the Crazy Canuck! We highly recommend Blacksmith's Loft and would stay at any of the properties owned by Steve and Jane!
The Blacksmith's loft was a great place to stay.
Steve and Jane are wonderful hosts. The place was cozy but spacious enough for our group of five. The Blacksmith theme was neat and the clip clop clip clop of horses going by certainly added to the overall feel.
They had some really good coffee from the Baden Coffee Company nearby too. So good we had to make an unplanned stop there while we were in town.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time we're in Waterloo.
My husband and I went to Stratford and then stayed at the Blacksmith's Loft for one night.
Everything was lovely. It was quiet and we had a very romantic dinner in.
Unfortunately, we did not get to meet Steve and Jane as they were out of town. But, we did meet Steve's dad and he was very nice.
We will definitely stay there again as it is very close to St. Jacob's market and Kitchener/ Waterloo.
Thank you for everything.

Stayed there a second time and it still is a very nive place! The Loft is clean, bright, and well supplied. Arrangements for check in and check out are extremely easy to communicate with Steve and Jane. The fireplace warms up the place really fast.
Would definitley recommend the Loft!
We spent a very great time at Steve and Jane's Loft in Heidelberg. Everything was very well prepared and clean upon our arrival. Although Steve had a broken arm and there was a lot of snow outside the parking lot and the parts around the house were all the time taken care of.
Although there is just one big room we had no problems sleeping there together and everyone still had his / her privacy.
Steve and Jane were everytime available and responded quickly.
Thanks for everything!
This is my second stay in the Blacksmith's Shop and my experience was identical.
The accommodation was clean, bright, cheery, well supplied and ready for my arrival. The loft is exactly as advertised and photographed. Arrangements for check in and check out were extremely easy because of the hospitality and the flexibility shown by the hosts, Steve and Jane.
Definitely a recommended destination.
We stayed in Blacksmith's Loft Studio Suite for one week with our granddaughter. It is a very spacious and comfortable. We liked the decoration and furniture, it was very cosy. Up to 6 people can stay here comfortably. The hosts were very kind and helpful. It is very close to Waterloo, Saint Jacobs and the farmer's market. We would definitely recomend it.
Everything about the stay went well. The fireplace kept the place very cosy which was much appreciated when we awoke to snow on the Saturday morning. Very happy with the accomodation: the provision of coffee and cream was great. thank you.
