Marshall Stage Stop ~ Cape Cod Room

House - Private room · O B Riley Rd, Bend, OR 97701, United States

The Space

The Marshall Stage Stop is kid friendly, dog/horse friendly and old people friendly :-) Large sprawling farmhouse sits on 7 acres, remodeled in 1970 with a western flair. Lot's of elbow space, large lawns, two patios, hot tub, cedar lined sauna, plenty of room for kids or dogs to run and play. Property is 1/2 mile north of Bend City limits, but very secluded and private. Surrounded by 80' Ponderosa Pines and Juniper trees. Close to shopping, restaurants, the Deschutes River Trail and Tumalo State Park.

The Marshall Stage Stop offers TWO Bedrooms for rent: $75 per night / per room (2 people in each room) (+ $10.00 for each extra person) There are two full baths that are shared.

This listing is for "The Cape Cod Room" ~ this quaint room has a comfy full size bed, private entrance and full bath w/ sauna close by. It is very sunny and airy with lots of windows. The fee is $75.00 per night for 2 persons.

Also available at The Marshall Stage Stop in a separate listing is "The Fishing Room" ~ decorated with the outdoor enthusiast in mind. It has a four poster Queen bed with a love-seat hide-a-bed that pulls out for a twin bed. Communal guest bath with tiled shower. The fee for the Fishing Room is $75.00 per night for 2 and an additional $10.00 per night for a third person.

If you desire to do your own cooking and dine in, you are welcome to use our spacious kitchen/dining area and outdoor BBQ / patios. Each morning, I will provide muffins, fruit, coffee and tea. Or I'd be happy to make you a green smoothie on request :-) After a day of adventure in Central Oregon there's nothing nicer than soaking in the hot tub under the stars, surrounded by 80' ponderosa pines with snow flakes melting on your nose... or relax in the cedar paneled sauna.

I have a Pak & Play available for babies/toddlers.

I have very lame WiFi, good enough for email, no videos or Netflix. Sorry the bedrooms don't have TV or cable. Shouldn't be a problem though, as you are coming here to relax and play in Central Oregon's outdoors right ??? You are welcome to share the one central TV in the living room if you choose.

DOGS ~ You are welcome to bring your canine family members if they are well potty trained. I only ask that you not allow them to do their biz on the mowed lawns, (any time of the year) any where else on our 7 acres is fair game :-)

HORSES ~ You are welcome to bring your own horses whether you are passing through or here to explore the area or here to participate in a local equine event. The horse facilities aren't fancy, but they are secure and safe. The fee for horses would be $25.00 for two, plus $10.00 ea for each additional horse for the length of your stay. You will provide your own feed.

I look forward to hosting you on your next visit to Central Oregon

  • I had a great stay at Cindy's. She was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home. The house is huge and very beautiful.

After an 8 hour drive it was so relaxing to have access to the hot tub jacuzzi and sauna.

Also, the place is very close to Downtown Bend. Highly recommend it if you're visiting Bend.

  • We had a nice experience at the Marshall Stage Stop. Cynthia is very hospitable and makes you feel right at home. It's not a fancy place - homey, a little funky, clean and comfortable. The Cape Cod room and the bathroom are small- we would have liked a little more room - so we would want to stay in the Fish room next time. The location is great- very close to downtown Bend.

  • Cindy was a wonderful and gracious host! She made us feel very welcome and comfortable in her home, and has a lovely property. The location was quiet and peaceful, and we particularly enjoyed being able to use the hot tub in the evening - Cindy even put out wine glasses for us to use. She had a great deal of information about the local area available, including tour guides, maps, and local hikes. The muffins, fruit, coffee, and tea for breakfast in the morning was lovely as well! We'd definitely recommend staying at the Stage Stop if you're traveling through the area!

  • This was a fun stay! Cyndy is the coolest, strongest, most interesting gal I've met in a long time. Her sidekick/'mom', Stella, is just lovely. Cyndy went out of her way to ensure my teens and I were comfortable and taken care of.

  • I am a nurse who needed temporary housing on several dates until my own home was ready to move into. I was looking for something more affordable and flexible than a hotel. Cynthia has been very gracious and easy to work and the room very comfortable. She has even let me bring my dogs (together Cynthia and I cleaned up some outdoor kennels so that my dogs could stay in them while I was at work.) The arrangement has worked out really well, and I am grateful that I found the Marshall Stage Stop. Probably the only downside is that there is only one full bathroom which is shared by all members of the household. For me it has not been an issue as I use the shower early in the morning. The Cape Cod room does have a private half bath (it just does not have a shower). If you don't mind down-to-earth, casual surroundings, this is a great place to stay. If you are looking for something fancy or upscale, then the Marshall Stage Stop may not be for you. Whatever your needs, Cynthia will work with you to try and accommodate them!

  • Staying with Cindy was amazing! I got in late, and she was very understanding. I had a wedding the next day, and she offered to pick me up after the reception, which would have been a half-hour drive! When I woke up that morning, she had maps printed out to all the locations I would be travelling to that day! To cap it off, when I got in that evening, she GAVE ME a very nice sweatshirt to wear on my motorcycle to handle the brisk Oregon weather.

Staying with Cindy had the same feeling as staying with a good friend, and I would suggest the opportunity to anyone travelling through Bend!

  • My two sons and I stayed one night in The Fishing Room. My 11-year-old loved all the fishing paraphenalia with which the room was decorated. With one queen and a hide-a-bed twin it was the perfect layout for us. The property was very quiet and our hostesses were very kind. The bathroom is shared (email hidden)-in renter.

  • Cyndy was a warm, friendly, and helpful hostess. We enjoyed our time there very much. She knows the area and recommended some great places for us to visit. Bend is a beautiful place.
