Description

The space

At the Marshall Stage Stop, we are "kid friendly", "dog/horse friendly" and "old people friendly" :-) Your host is Cyndy, a now re-purposed rancher from Eastern OR. The large sprawling single level farmhouse sits on 7 secluded acres 1/2 mile from Bend's city limits and Hwy 20. Built in 1940 and remodeled in 1970, it is very vintage with a western flair. There is lot's of elbow space, large lawns, two patios, hot tub, sauna, plenty of room for kids to run and play. Property, while only 1/2 mile north of Bend City limits, is very secluded and private (meaning that you don't see any neighboring houses from the property). Surrounded by 80' Ponderosa Pines and Juniper trees. Close to shopping, restaurants, the Deschutes River Trail and Tumalo State Park.

The Marshall Stage Stop offers three Bedrooms for rent. This Airbnb listing you are looking at is to reserve The Cape Cod Room. Which has an iComfort queen bed in a cozy room with lots of windows. It has a small funky, but functional full bath next door. The cedar lined sauna is part of this bathroom and has a shower in it.

You will have the run of house, lawns and patios, we will do our best to give you your privacy. If you desire to do your own cooking and dine in or on the patio, you are welcome to full use of the kitchen, etc. I expect you to use my condiments... (butter, ketchup, spices...) Each bedroom has it's own designated mini fridge. I provide coffee via a Kuerig, tea and microwave popcorn. If you want to bring your own coffee, I am happy to set out a drip pot and grinder that you are welcome to use. You are welcome to make your own "Green Smoothie" in my BlendTec :-) The hot tub is available 24/7. After a day of adventure in Central Oregon there's nothing nicer than soaking in the hot tub under the stars, surrounded by 80' ponderosa pines with snow flakes melting on your nose or watching the falling stars and listening to the quiet...

I have a Pak & Play (portable crib) with a an extra 2" mattress available for babies/toddlers. As well as a Fisher Price high chair that straps to regular dining chair.

WI-FI ~ We have Hi Speed inet for your use. Sorry though, there is no cable TV, but that shouldn't be a problem though, as you are coming here to relax and play in Central Oregon's outdoors right ???

HORSES ~ You are welcome to bring your own horses whether you are passing through, here to explore the area or here to participate in a local equine event. The horse facilities aren't fancy, but they are secure and safe. The fee for horses would be $25.00 for the first 2, plus $10 for each additional for the length of your stay. You will provide your own feed.

I look forward to hosting you at The Marshall Stage Stop on your next visit to Central Oregon. Check out my others listings by going to my profile.

Guest access

You will be given a house key and a key to your bedroom door. You are welcome to come and go 24/7. You are welcome to use the sauna, hot tub and BBQ at your leisure. If you desire, you have full access to our spacious kitchen. There is a mini frig for each guest room in the kitchen for your personal use.

Interaction with guests

I am available 24/7 for anything you may need and at the same time will give you as much space, privacy as you wish to enjoy your stay.

The neighborhood

The Marshall Stage Stop, while only one half mile from Bend's city limits, is a very rural and private property. You can not see any neighboring homes, we are surrounded by natural pasture, juniper and ponderosa pines. We are just minutes to shopping, restaurants and old downtown. The Old Mill District and Les Schwab Amphitheater is apprx 5 miles, St Charles Hospital is 5 miles, and Mt Bachelor is only 25 miles.

Getting around

If you are flying in for a special event, (wedding, concert, funeral...) I would be happy to help you with transportation for a nominal fee.

Other things to note

We do have wildlife that frequent the property, deer are quite regular guests. If you let your dogs off leash, bare in mind that they may be enticed to chase the deer, who will leave the property and may lead your dog into dangerous situation. (property is not fenced)

House Rules
Check in is anytime after 4PM

If you are bringing your canine family with you, upon arrival I ask that you keep them inside your vehicle until I greet you and show you where they should potty :-) The property is 7 acres, I only ask that you be vigilant to not allow them to pee or poop on my lawns. The rest of the property is fair game :-)

It is a very unique farm house which has lots of charm. Cindy is a great host, she made everything ready and available whenever we needed. We stayed in the kind bedroom, thanks to Cindy's upgrading in the last minute, and the atmosfer in the room was just perfect. The mattress in the room was so comfortable, very advanced quality. This is a perfect place to have a weekend getaway and relax. We will definitely go back. I am a fan.

Cyndy is an amazing host, very accommodating, there if you need her but happy to let you be alone if you prefer. Her house was very welcoming, and I honestly felt right at home the entire time I was there.

Cyndy was more than accommodating in allowing us to book a room last minute and providing us with a goodnight sleep in her tempurpedic bed. She provided us with the juiciest fresh fruit the next morning, and we had fun chatting with her about her history!

I can really not say enough amazing things about Cyndy and her wonderful home! This is a beautiful old farmhouse only a few minutes from the center of town. It's very quiet with wide-open spaces. The house is just amazing! A big old country farmhouse, with a giant kitchen and an awesome antique wolf range stove. And with a hot tub and sauna! The whole house was so lovely and comfortable, I felt like I was staying at my grandmothers house. Cyndy and Stella and their sweet dog Gracie were the loveliest of hosts. They are so sweet and lovely and accommodating. I enjoyed all my interactions with them, and felt that everything I needed was right there. I would recommend staying there to anyone visiting Bend! I will definitely be back to visit this amazing location again!

Listing was accurate and me and my girlfriend felt welcome. I recommend people to stay here, not far way from the city and great place to stop if doing a longer trip.
