At the Marshall Stage Stop, we are kid friendly, dog/horse friendly and old people friendly :-) Your Inn Keepers are Cyndy and Stella. Large sprawling farmhouse sits on 7 secluded acres, remodeled in 1970, it is very vintage with a western flair. There is lot's of elbow space, large lawns, two patios, hot tub, sauna, plenty of room for kids to run and play. Property is 1/2 mile north of Bend City limits, but very secluded and private. Surrounded by 80' Ponderosa Pines and Juniper trees. Close to shopping, restaurants, the Deschutes River Trail and Tumalo State Park.
The Marshall Stage Stop offers TWO Bedrooms for rent: $75 per night / per room. This Airbnb listing you are looking at is to reserve the "Cape Cod Room".
The Cape Cod Room sleeps 2 ~ has a four poster queen size bed, that airs on the firmer side. The room is very sunny and airy with lots of windows, a private entrance, and a nearby full bath with a sauna that is shared. There is also a 2nd full bath with tiled shower near the Fishing Rm that is also shared.
You will have the run of house, lawns and patios, we will do our best to give you your privacy. If you desire to do your own cooking and dine in or on the patio, you are welcome to full use of our kitchen, etc. Each morning I will provide muffins, fruit, coffee and tea. I have a BlendTec blender and I'll be happy to supply you with makings for a "Green Smoothie" on request :-) The hot tub is available 24/7. After a day of adventure in Central Oregon there's nothing nicer than soaking in the hot tub under the stars, surrounded by 80' ponderosa pines with snow flakes melting on your nose or watching the falling stars and listening to the tumbling creek nearby...
I have a Pak & Play (portable crib), high chair and baby gates available for babies/toddlers.
WI-FI ~ We now have Hi Speed interet for your use. Sorry though, there are no TV's in the bedrooms, but that shouldn't be a problem though, as you are coming here to relax and play in Central Oregon's outdoors right ???
HORSES ~ You are welcome to bring your own horses whether you are passing through, here to explore the area or here to participate in a local equine event. The horse facilities aren't fancy, but they are secure and safe. The fee for horses would be $25.00 for the first 2, plus $10 for each additional for the length of your stay. You will provide your own care and feed.
I look forward to hosting you at The Marshall Stage Stop on your next visit to Central Oregon.
There are two full shared bathrooms. You are welcome to use the sauna, hot tub and BBQ at your leisure. If you desire you have full access to our spacious kitchen. There is a mini frig in the kitchen for your personal use.
Interaction with Guests
I am available 24/7 for anything you may need and at the same time will give you as much space, privacy and freedom as you wish to enjoy our property.
The Marshall Stage Stop, while only one half mile from Bend's city limits, is a very rural and private property. You can not see any neighboring homes, we are surrounded by natural pasture, juniper and ponderosa pines. We are very close to shopping, restaurants and old downtown. The Old Mill District is apprx 5 miles, St Charles Hospital is 5 miles, and Mt Bachelor is only 25 miles.
If you are flying in for a special event, (wedding, concert, funeral...) I would be happy to help you with transportation for a nominal fee.
Other Things to Note
We do have wildlife that frequent the property, deer are quite regular guests. If you let your dogs off leash, bare in mind that they may be enticed to chase the deer, who will leave the property and may lead your dog into dangerous situation. (property is not fenced)
If you are bringing your canine family with you, upon arrival I ask that you keep them inside your vehicle until I greet you and show you where they should potty :-) The property is 7 acres, I only ask that you be vigilant to not allow them to pee or poop on my lawns. The rest of the property is fair game :-)
Nice and Friendly host! Comfortable bed and cozy little room. Wonderful outdoors a little out of town.
Cyndy greeted me at the door, after her grandson flagged me down, as my GPS gave out right before I reached their ranch.
Cyndy gave me a tour of the home, kitchen, and bathroom. She had a small refrigerator for own personal use. I was sharing a bathroom, and discussed that. There was muffins, pastries, fruit, a Kuerig coffee maker, and a bowl of fruit for the self-serve breakfast. Plenty of towels and pillows.
There was a host guide printed out and on my bed with a key to the front door and my room which was helpful.
I loved staying here. My grandfather was a rancher and her home was full of ranching, horses, tack and saddle memorabilia which I enjoyed.
I enjoyed the hearing the history of the ranch, and the stories she told about her husband and his horse racing days.
Cyndy is very busy and had her roommate available for questions or to welcome new guests.
I will bring my partner and my grandkids next time. Thank You, Cyndy, for a lovely visit.
Took a spur of the moment trip down to Bend for Memorial Day, and got lucky with this Airbnb! Cyndy was very quick to respond, so we were able to breathe easy on our way into town. The stay was great; cute and comfortable room, private shower/sauna, and a hot tub! Had everything we needed and nothing we didn't.
Our stay at the Marshall Stage Stop was wonderful. We took full advantage of the hot tub and sauna room, and our room was so quaint and clean. Cyndy is a wonderful host, I really enjoyed talking with her and appreciated her recommendations for exploring Bend. I would definitely revisit this place.
Cyndy made us feel welcome right from the time we arrived. The space was a little small for two people and a dog (as she forewarned us), however she helped us rearrange and make it quite comfortable. Plus, we had access to an amazing large kitchen with great cooking space and the living area. The yard is well equipped with outdoor seating and even a hot tub and grill, making it all the more perfect for a summer stay. The space was on a beautiful range down the road from Tumalo state park and 10 minutes from downtown Bend. We highly recommend this place and Cyndy to anyone interested.
I had a great stay at Cindy's. She was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home. The house is huge and very beautiful.
After an 8 hour drive it was so relaxing to have access to the hot tub jacuzzi and sauna.
Also, the place is very close to Downtown Bend. Highly recommend it if you're visiting Bend.
