The space

Please take the time to tell me about yourself. Its important for me to know about you. Although I live and work from home but you may actually never see me depending on your schedule.

2 Queen Size Convertible Futons!. 5 to 7 minutes from the subway.

Before Airbnb, I have welcomed artists, performers, missionaries etc. See our references from others.

Air conditioned 1500 square feet apartment includes furnished one bedroom/living space, private fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, 1 spacious closet, microwave, television, wireless, refrigerator and nearby laundry access, subway and restaurants (they deliver!). Dishes and toiletries available.Child-friendly. I love pets but I am allergic so no pets.

There is latex in the futons and the pillows have plastic covers, so if you are averse to plastic or have an allergy to latex the space is not best for you.

Different people have different needs and styles. The apartment is made clean and ready for you. On the rare occasion, guests have additional needs they are able to self clean, a pantry full of cleaning products are supplied. It is my apartment, I do live there and I work there. Most folks rarely see me because of my schedule and theirs.

Guests have made the kitchen their own. There are condiments and things left over from previous stays - as well as a wok, a microwave, a coffee pot, filtered water, a dishwasher (only used to drain clean dishes) and lots of menus. :-)

Appreciated having a place to stay while in a summer program at Columbia! Two classmates shared the room with me; we each had a futon and some space of our own in the room. Bathroom and kitchen suited our needs!

Sonya was a very gracious and helpful host, always ready to answer questions and give advice. The space was comfortable and spacious and we always felt safe and at home over there. We had a great time in New York City and when we come back, this will definitely be at the top of our list of places to stay.

I felt very welcomed. The apartment was clean and organized. I enjoyed the use of Wi-Fi, and a kitchen to cook breakfast in made preparing for work much easier. I particularly liked having the local coffee shop, library, laundry and grocery store all within a 1 to 3 block radius. For me, having the opportunity to work quietly during the day and enjoy the rich cultural diversity in the evening, without having to travel downtown was especially nice. This was the perfect home away from home environment for work and play. I will be back!!!

Sonya was very friendly and helpful and checked now and then if we needed something. We had a good time and when we had questions she helped us. The beds were good. She also helped us with getting a good taxi. Thank you Sonya, it was great to stay at your place!

Sonya´s place is not fancy (one large room with two comfortable sofa beds) but is clean and comfortable and is located 5 blocks from the 1 train which takes you everywhere in Manhatan. It is located in Harlem/Washington Heights. I've spent 10 days there with my teen son and daughter and we had a very good time. We felt safe and enjoyed very much the neighbourhood. There are good and cheap restaurants in the area as well as supermarkets. Sonya is a great hostess, very sweet, kind, helpful. Although she uses one of the beddrooms as her office, she is there only for a few hours and is super respectful to her guests' privacy. Being in her company from time to time was a delight. We felt very at home at her place. Kitchen and bathroom are good. Heater works fine. Towels and sheets are clean. Thank you, Sonya for sharing your place! We enjoyed very much meeting you and your family! I definitely recommend your place! Have a very pecefual and happy 2016!

Sonya, Dreamspace, was an amazing host and better than many of the hotels I have stayed at preivously (Marriott, Hyatt, Motel 6 :)). Her room is spacious enough that I didn't want to kill my little brother (it was a family gathering) and her thoughtfulness is unrivaled. The location is perfect to get to anywhere in NY. She is directly above the 1 and 3 which can take you north south or east. She has clear maps up to help all newcomers and she was so sweet to look up various locations and eateries for us. Her building is historic, visit to see why. It is also right across from the river and made for wonderful jogging paths. I ran all up and down Riverside and even ventured across the George Washington. Most importantly she is a very kind spirit. Our family returned to NY this year as kind of a healing. We'd lost two people this year and my dad wanted to go home (NY) as much as I did. We couldn't afford to go home though and I spotted DreamSpace. Sonya was accommodating of the cost and number and made sure to check on us. This transaction was my first AirBnB and she made it painless. If I didn't have work today, I'd have found a reason to stay. Thank you for the DreamSpace and everyone else, you will love staying here.

Welcome your home away from home. As a host, I am Quirky. Creative. Memorable. Friendly. Knowledgeable. Welcoming. My schedule never competes with guests itinerary. Come and enjoy as others have.
