3 Queen Size Convertible Futons!. Breakfast is also available for check in if requested, ahead of time and depending on what you eat. LOL.

We have hosted before Airbnb to friends, artists, missionaries etc. See our references from other guests.

Air conditioned 1500 square feet apartment includes furnished one bedroom/living space, private fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, 1 spacious closet, microwave, television, wireless, refrigerator and nearby laundry access, subway and restaurants (they deliver!). Dishes and toiletries available.Child-friendly. I love pets but I am allergic so no pets.

There is latex in the futons and the pillows have plastic covers, so if you are averse to plastic or have an allergy to latex the space is not best for you.

The building has a great history of notable Harlem Residents. There is usually great heat, hot water and a working elevator. And this is New York, so there may even be a movie crew around the building some days. It's a real New York experience.

Did I say its *like your own apartment? It is. Different people have different needs and styles. The apartment is made clean and ready for you. On the rare occasion, guests have additional needs they are able to self clean, a pantry full of cleaning products are supplied. It is my apartment, I do live there and I work there. Most folks rarely see me because of my schedule and theirs.

Guests have made the kitchen their own. There are condiments and things left over from previous stays - as well as a wok, a microwave, a crock pot,a coffee pot, filtered water, a dishwasher ( only used to drain clean dishes) and lots menus. :-)

  • I had a wonderful time staying at Sonya's apartment with my family. Sonya and her mother were very attentive, receptive and ready to help. The apartment is good, just like the photos and is not far from the subway. She even provide two prepaid US cell phones to make the foreign guests feel at home. I highly recommend this place to stay in NYC. Thanks Sonya!

  • My family and I had a wonderful stay at Sonya's. Sonya herself could not have been more gracious and thoughtful. She was genuinely concerned that our stay would be a good one. One of the best New York Airbnb experiences I have ever had and I have had many.

  • We had an amazing time at Sonya's apartment. It is conveniently located, close to the metro, grosery shopping, restaurants, laundry...etc . The neighborhood is very secure and residential.

We were a group of 7 plus one baby and the size of the apartment was perfect. The kitchen is huge and well equipped which let us cook everything we needed it to save time and money.
I definitely recommend this apartment. Sonya was a great host , very attentive, easygoing and always ready to help us.
Great place for those who want to spent time in New York as locals do!

    September 2013
  • Sonya was a great host! She is very accommodating and she loves to get to know you and for you to enjoy your time in the city. The apartment was spacious, spacious enough for 7 people. The layout makes it great for a group people to mingle and have fun. The kitchen was very nice and having a fridge there was amazing for the days the city gets to hot. There was also no problem with the AC, water, and electricity. The surrounding area is great, Riverside park and the Hudson River is just 10 min away. The subway was close to the apartment as well. The area was great too, it makes you feel like a true New Yorker, a lot of families, pedestrian and life. Definitely a good options in comparison to hotels, and for a group of friends on vacation. We had a good time, no doubt you will too.
