About this listing

The space

Views of the Bay Bridge make it impossible to mistake where you've come. Split-level Loft offers private bedroom and private full bathroom, kitchen, dining area and work station with iconic San Francisco views. Exposed cement walls and piping add a Modern SF feel.

I moved to SOMA to start my business because the neighborhood brings a lot of energy and opportunity. Great mix of start-up professionals and visitors from all over the world.. the conversations you hear in line at coffee shops and food trucks are inspiring to say the least; valuations, IPO's, mergers, new technologies, new app solutions... there is no other place like it on earth.

Your room is fully furnished with bed, closet, night stands and space heater. Help yourself to amenities and fresh (folded) towels in the bathroom. I reside upstairs where I'm pretty self contained giving you lots of privacy.

I love to socialize with guests, however am often committed when wonderful people stay with me. I'm always available to send you in the right direction with personal recommendations after a glass of wine... or two.

SoMa (South of Market) the premier downtown neighborhood and walking distance from:

- Moscone Convention Center
- Pier One Ferry Building
- Museum of Modern Art
- Union Square
- AT&T Park Giants Baseball Stadium
- Numerous cafes, restaurants and bars.

Perfect jump off point for whatever brings you to San Francisco;
- House hunting
- Interview
- Travel
- Transition

All are welcome!

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire home, except for the 2 bedrooms upstairs.

Other things to note

The loft is near an off ramp and there is currently construction nearby as well, which causes some noise. Most people are fine, especially with ear plugs (which we provide).

Stayed here for 3 nights for a business trip. Adriena and Andres are super nice hosts. This young couple is very welcoming and make you feel at home immediately (offering a glass of wine and showing interest in their temporary roommate). Pictures of the room and bathroom are accurate; there is enough space, everything is clean and you have everything you need (hair dryer, wardrobe, iron, etc). Location is also great. Only minor comment is the traffic noise, which is not too bad but light sleepers may want to have earplugs. Definitely recommend the place and the hosts!!

Andrés is an excellent host. His loft is comfortable and clean. He recommended a delicious brunch spot and a gym within walking distance during my stay. The surrounding streets are also filled with great restaurants and bars.

Great location, pleasant room with a large TV and Netflix etc. Pretty much sole use of bathroom. I didn't see Andres much but his girlfriend was very nice. I'm still slightly reeling from the cost of accommodation in San Francisco (and I come from London!) so relatively speaking, this was good value, especially for the location.

Very comfortable bed and nice, hot shower in a private bathroom in this handily located lofted apartment. Plenty of comfortable extra pillows if needed. Adriena and Andres are great hosts. They were very flexible with my check-in when my flight got in late, and they provided lots of little touches like an extra toothbrush and toothpaste (just in case!) and a loofah. I appreciated being able to use the fridge to store a few things from nearby Trader Joe's while I was in town for a conference. During the short moments we overlapped in the home, they were both exceedingly pleasant and friendly, and using their washer and dryer was super helpful. I definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a spot in SoMa. And while you're around, check out MoMA, Samovar, Lao Table, and the free Open House space at Target. All cool options.

Spring in Manhattan, Summer in Barcelona, Fall in San Francisco and Winter in Buenos Aires - you'll always know where to find me...

I operate a Tour and Hospitality Company called Vin Ambassador. My team of Sommeliers (socially savvy wine professionals) and I offer privately guided experiences deep within the dusty cellars of Northern California and also know how to spot the best table and menu for a casual day of rest and relaxation.

My "dance card" is somewhat daunting, so I'm often a ghost; running out for a day in Wine Country with clients, stepping out for a brief meeting around the corner, and I'm in an MBA program at U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business. Therefore, I am always grateful to stop, breath and raise a glass with guests.

Generally, maintain a healthy lifestyle; former Marine, do a bit of yoga, running, Jiu-Jitsu and like to go out dancing - big believer of "everything in moderation, including moderation". Committed to gratitude and dabbling in Buddhism. I'm also Sommelier so there is nearly always a bottle of something open.

I enjoy an intimate social life spending a couple nights a week; solving world problems over wine, cooking, and the occasional whiteboard session. Beyond that, I tend to be in Napa a couple nights a week, travel domestically a few times a year with at least one big trip abroad. I surround myself with positive/supportive people, looking for guests who do the same.
