The central location

The apartment is located in Munich's Maxvorstadt, a former artists' quarter -Thomas Mann, Ringelnatz, Wassily Kandinsky and Erich Kästner are in place. Today it is a young and lively district close to the university and the English Garden, located at the entrance of the Munich museum quarter.
Here you will find everything your heart desires close by. Supermarkets to shop your groceries. Health food store and a drugstore are available just after crossing the street. The Elisabeth market with the freshest goods and munich flair is within walking distance. For details, see the intersecting streets and Barerstrasse Schellingstrasse. In the street to the university, Türkenstrasse and Amalie Street there are plenty of antique shops and small shops that invite you to stroll and browse. For nightlife there are restaurants, beer gardens, ice cream parlors, bars and clubs are just off. To relax and to recharg your batteries, the entrance of the English Garden is just 800 meters away and also next to the apartment, the museums provide more green areas for recreation. For cultural esperience, the Munich museum quarter with the world famous art galleries, the Museum Brandhorst and the recently re-opened Lenbachhaus designed by Norman Foster starts right in the Barerstrasse virtually on the doorstep. Munich's Old Town with its Marienplatz square is fifteen minute walk from the apartment.

The apartment is also perfectly connected to the Munich public transport network. The nearest metro station is five hundred meters away, a tram stop next to the house. The main train station and the Oktoberfest fifteen minutes by public transport, the new exhibition center forty minutes from the airport fifty minutes.

The perfect equipment

The apartment is 93m ². It is divided into two large rooms, living room and bedroom. For this, a large kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet and a spacious hallway. Herringbone parquet on the floor, light walls, thirty three meter high ceilings, clear light, all fantastically decorated and furnished with modern photographs on the walls.

A brief overview of the room:

The living room is bright and spacious and has dimmable LED lighting, a large dining table, a comfortable sofa bed for two people, a 18-square-foot library, an electric piano, Wi-Fi, a charging station for mobile phones, a 46 'LCD TV including Vodafone TV in HD, Blurayplayer, stereo with IPOD docking and a party fridge. The bedroom is also bright and spacious and is equipped with a very comfortable, large four-poster bed, a spacious wardrobe system. A desk, a chair and a small fitness area complete the bedroom. A baby bed is available from 120x40cm. The kitchen is spacious and perfectly equipped. A large fridge freezer, induction hob, oven, dishwasher, reverse osmosis water filter for pure water, espresso maker, sandwich maker, juicer for fresh orange juice for breakfast, blender, herb garden, and much more.
The bathroom is equipped with a sink and a bathtub. How about after a day full of experiences with a relaxing dip in the bath, complemented by a combination of light, scent and music.

In the toilet are in a niche, a modern washing machine and a dryer that can be used of course.
The stylish design

The apartment is characterized by its generous cut, the floor, high ceilings, and stylishly composed and quality furnishings Gesamtkunstwerk. The selected pictures on the walls provide inspiration. The apartment is a harmonious place where you love resides.

Sustainability

I assume that it is possiblel for everybody to fullfy the wishes of life this beautiful world, if you use all resources as intelligent as possible. That should also be possible for further generations.. With this apartment I will make a small contribution to it. First of all, I share the apartment when I'm not there and thus contribute to a better utilization of the precious living space. The electricity for the home is 100% green electricity from the Munich municipal utility. The heater is fed from 100% efficient district heating produced by the Munich municipal utility. The shower head in the bathroom uses a third of the water of a normal shower head. The entire lighting system is consistently switched to power-saving LED technology. The stove useless efficient induction technology. The other electrical appliances are consistently converted to A + technology. Garbage is strictly separated. 2015 gets the house a new insulation and new windows. Other measures are planed.

The apartment will be always freshly cleaned for each guest, the beds are freshly made and fresh quality towels are provided. Soft drinks and coffee are included in the price.   • Andreas' apartment is fantastic! You find in there anything you may wish. Comfortable bed, fast wifi, tasty coffee, a vintage fridge in the living room full of any drink for all tastes and any kind of electronic devices: TV, home theatre, stereo, a notebook for the guests and a large monitor to connect your own desktop. The kitchen, as well the bathroom(s) are perfectly equiped. Several pieces of design (lamps, glass, chairs) make the flat very attractive. I was in Munich for a work meeting and going back to the apartment after a working day made me feel like home. The flat is very spacious (although the photos make it slightly larger than it really is), with two large rooms and two bathrooms it can fit comfortably four people.
    The area around the apartment is full of nice restaurants, caffetterias and shops. The apartment is very close to the Old and New Pinacoteque. The historical city is at about 20 minutes walking distance.
    Last but not least, Andreas was the perfect host! He showed us everything before leaving the apartment. He will do all he can to make your stay comfortable.
    I would like to go back in Andreas' house in my next visit to Munich!

  • You could not ask for a better apartment location! Andreas was a great host and his friend Sebastian was very helpful in recommending local attractions. The apartment was very well appointed and tastefully decorated. It was a great place to stay!

  • Andreas's flat is lovely. It's in a great location and is exactly as it appears in the pictures. Having the bikes made it really easy to get around too! We didn't take public transport once!

  • This apartment looks exactly like in the pictures. It is very centrally located. It is one block from the museum. The museum is also where the Hop-on Hop-off bus has a stop. So no need to go to the main train station to get on that bus (highly recommended to take the bus on the first day to get acquainted with Munich)

    The subway is 3 blocks away (Universtat), while the tram is right outside. Since the weather was so beautiful when we visited, we just walked to the subway

    The subway entrance is also next to the English Gardens. Well worth a visit. We enjoyed having beer in the Chinese beer garden

    There is a small grocery store right across the street and an ATM

    Great stay. Everything worked out well. Internet is super fast.

  • Andreas' flat is great for a break in Munich. It easily and very comfortably slept 4 people even though it is a one-bedroom flat. It was well decorated and absolutely spotlessly clean. He even went out of his way to put together a welcome basket with beer and pretzels and stock the fridge with milk.

    The flat is in an amazing location too. Every street around his flat is surrrounded by great boutiques, bars and cafes.

    Perfect way to see Munich...

  • A great apartment at a GREAT location !!
    One cannot over emphasize the importance of being close to 2 subway stations, on a street with a supermarket, drug store, and PLENTY of great bars & cafes.
    The apartment is roomy enough for 3. We were 3 on business and felt quite at home (1 in each double-bed and one on the living room couch). Also, it is well furnished and equipped in the kitchen for home cooking and self support.
    Note- at night close the windows if you're a light sleeper as the trams passing by from 6am will get you.
