Charming and stylish apartment full of character and warmth, ready to welcome you. My home is a flat in a converted warehouse which I have done up myself with vintage treasures and lots of love! I live with my partner Jass and our cat Donald.
Private double room in a converted warehouse in the Barrowlands area of Glasgow. Five minutes walk from the Merchant City area and its bars and restaurants and shops, ten minutes from the city centre and easy access to the west end.

Plenty of books to borrow and a piano to play! No television but I do have DVDs which you are welcome to use.

I am often at work, either out or at home and have a busy schedule. I think my flat is ideal for independent travellers who are happy to explore Glasgow and enjoy themselves as I will most likely be working, quite often at home (when I use the living room as my office).
The flat is within the famous Barrowlands market which runs over weekends and is a real treasure trove. Lots of stalls and quirky bits and bobs to rummage through plus a fantastic cafe.
I'm a few minutes walk from the Trongate where you can find the stylish, classy Merchant City area of the city. This has plenty of individual restaurants, cafes and bars plus some gorgeous boutique shops. This area leads into the city centre with the marvellous GOMA, lots of shops, bars and interesting galleries.
Round the corner from the flat is Glasgow Green, perfect for a relaxed stroll. The People's Palace and Winter Gardens are here and make a lovely change from the busy city centre.
Nearest overground stations are High Street, Argyle Street, Queen Street and Glasgow Central. All within 10-15 minutes walk.
Nearest subway station St.Enoch.
Lots of buses right outside the door.
Other Things to Note
Laundry service available for £3 per load.
Be nice to the cat!
Please note that I work from home a lot of the time so I may be using the living area for teaching/work at points during the daytime while you're staying, and it will be unavailable for use.
Alice is a great host! Her apartment is nice, clean and very close to the city centre. Ideal for someone who wants to enjoy Glasgow for a couple of days.
Alice was great with recommendations for where to go… we took her up on every suggestion and were very pleased.
Plus, we loved Donald.
Alice accepted my booking promptly and was warm and friendly. Sadly I was ill and thus my work trip was cancelled so I never got to visit her lovely home but I hope to try again on my next visit.
The apartment was very easy to find, and is a very comfortable 10min walk from the bars and restaurants in the Merchant City.
Alice was extremely welcoming, the apartment/room was cosy and comfortable. Would highly recommend.
Alice was very welcoming on my arrival, explained how everything works, I will never get use to the electrical outlets having a switch to turn them on, most things you plug in have on/off switches. Alice was very helpful in locating some stores and other institutions I needed to visit. The room is comfortable and quiet. There is a fast wifi connection. The kitchen was available.
We were made very welcome and shown around. Our arrangement was clear and helpful. The flat was as we expected, very central with good facilities. The area was non- residential and not very noisy for a city location. Perfect for a short city visit.
Alice was a lovely host and would always respond promptly to any queries which made the check in and check out process easy and flexible. The room was small but comfortable enough. The location in East End of Glasgow was quite central and easy to find.

I'm a theatre director living in Glasgow, which is an absolutely brilliant city. I love all things creative: theatre, art, books, music and this city is great for exploring all of them. I run my own theatre company and teach, so I work partly from home.
I've got a lovely wee flat which I share with my gorgeous cat Donald and my partner Jass lives with us half the week. We are delighted to welcome people to stay. It's very calm and cosy but just next door to the world famous Barrowlands so there is lots going on round here, and the city centre is only a few minutes walk.
