Charming and stylish apartment full of character and warmth, ready to welcome you. My home is a flat in a converted warehouse which I have done up myself with vintage treasures and lots of love! I live with my partner Jass and our cat Donald.
Private double room in a converted warehouse in the Barrowlands area of Glasgow. Five minutes walk from the Merchant City area and its bars and restaurants and shops, ten minutes from the city centre and easy access to the West End.
Cosy double room in a shared flat: I live in the flat with my partner Jass and cat Donald and we all look forward to welcoming guests. The room itself is compact, has a comfortable double bed, wardrobe and some storage. Open plan living space and kitchen in which the kitchen is available for use, and a bathroom with shower and bath. Plenty of books to borrow although no television but I do have DVDs which you are welcome to use.
Free parking on some streets surrounding the flat. Free and high speed wifi within the flat.
Very welcoming and stylish home so close to the city centre and everything the wonderful Glasgow has to offer.
Private double room.
Use of kitchen for light meals and snacks.
Use of bathroom.

Cuddles with the cat!
Interaction with Guests
I am often at work, either out or at home and have a busy schedule. I think my flat is ideal for independent travellers who are happy to explore Glasgow and enjoy themselves as I will most likely be working, quite often at home (when I use the living room as my office). I really appreciate guests respecting this: if you're looking for somewhere to spend a lot of time hanging out at home then no hard feelings - my flat just isn't for you!
The flat is within the famous Barrowlands market which runs over weekends and is a real treasure trove. Lots of stalls and quirky bits and bobs to rummage through plus a fantastic cafe. During the week, the market does not run and the area can seem a little bit run down, but I have never encountered any problems and neither have my guests. I'd just encourage people not to judge too harshly, it's an area being regenerated with lots of local character and soul. I live next door to the world famous Barrowlands gig venue so at weekends there are often bands playing which is great, but there can be some noise until about 11pm.
The flat is a few minutes walk from the Trongate where you can find the stylish, classy Merchant City area of the city. This has plenty of individual restaurants, cafes and bars plus some gorgeous boutique shops. This area leads into the city centre with the marvellous GOMA, lots of shops, bars and interesting galleries.
Round the corner from the flat is Glasgow Green, perfect for a relaxed stroll. The People's Palace and Winter Gardens are here and make a lovely change from the busy city centre.
Nearest overground stations are High Street, Argyle Street, Queen Street and Glasgow Central. All within 10-15 minutes walk.
Nearest subway station St.Enoch.
Lots of buses right outside the door.
Other Things to Note
Laundry service available for £3 per load.
Be nice to the cat!
Please note that I work from home a lot of the time so I may be using the living area for teaching/work at points during the daytime while you're staying, and it will be unavailable for use.
Alice's flat was exactly as described. The room was clean and warm and the bed was very comfortable. The location of her flat was excellent.
Alice was very friendly and welcoming and I would stay with her again if I were in the area.
Wonderful welcoming experience! Alice was communicative from the start, flexible and helpful. The lodging was delightful.
Alice was a very friendly host and I would definitely stay there again. She was very accommodating with my arrival time and I felt at home in her flat.
Exactly as Air B and B should be: felt like staying with a friend! Perfectly clean, warm and welcoming and a really homely space.
Alice's apartment is just as lovely as in the pictures and it was very comfortable to stay at. The neighbourhood is for sure different from typical streets you'll find in the center of Glasgow, but it was interesting to stay there and not far away from the High Street station. Jass welcomed us in the evening and gave us some great tips for Glasgow.
Alice is very kind and offer us help and recommendations for touring the city during the stay. Her stylish flat is clean and tidy, and her partner, Jass, and Donal the good cat, are all very nice. We had a really great time there. Thank you Alice, Jass and Donald!
it`s a little bit far from the city central and the room is not big, but it`s ok. The host is nice as well. thanks

I'm a theatre director living in Glasgow, which is an absolutely brilliant city. I love all things creative: theatre, art, books, music and this city is great for exploring all of them. I run my own theatre company and teach, so I work partly from home.
I've got a lovely wee flat which I share with my gorgeous cat Donald and my partner Jass lives with us half the week. We are delighted to welcome people to stay. It's very calm and cosy but just next door to the world famous Barrowlands so there is lots going on round here, and the city centre is only a few minutes walk.
