A beautiful, recently and fully renovated 3 BR/1.5 bath home (approx 90 sq meters plus a private patio) in the heart of the historic American Colony of Jaffa, just around the corner from the beautiful landmarks of the Beit Immanuel Church and Maine Friendship House. Soothing southern exposure in much of the house makes for incredible lighting and an instant sense of home and comfort. With a large shared living space and expansive kitchen area (equipped with hot plate, large fridge, toaster oven, and a fair amount of counter space), it is easy to sink into the daily rhythm of life in Tel Aviv with this space as your base. House features a large private patio with small garden, complete with rosemary, mint, geranium, and lime/orange tree (website hidden)/heat available in living room/kitchen.
The spaciousness of the interior and exterior spaces of the house make it ideal for groups, workshops, events, seminars, etc.
3 Rooms to choose from:
Large, quiet private room overlooking the church courtyard (sleeps up to 5--ideal for groups or families)--complete with AC/heat unit, double bed, trundled bed (sleeps 3), shelving system.
Beautiful, sun-lit private room with ceiling fan and mobile heating/AC unit overlooking the private patio. Ample shelving and hanging space--ideal for single or couples.
Humble, quiet private room overlooking the church courtyard with charmingly shuttered windows and subtle (website hidden)/Heating unit in the room. 3-drawer dresser and hanging space for settling in. Be sure to ask Heather about the connection the room has to Zorro. :)
10 minutes walk to beach, Suzanne Dellal Dance Center, and the spirited areas of Jaffa, Neve Tzedek, and Florentin. A multitude of restaurants and bars are within walking distance as well--take your pick of Romanian, Ethiopian, Israeli fusion, classic cafes, etc! Pua in the Jaffa Flea market and Saloona in the Noga neighborhood are among my personal recommendations. 20-minute walk to the Central Bus Station. Multiple bus routes available within 5-10 minute walk.
The house provides an opportunity for a sense of community amidst privacy and quiet solitude. The private patio allows time for reflection, sunbathing, morning exercise, while the neighborhood offers a charming backdrop for coming and going--a rich history informs these streets of the American Colony dating back to 1866. For more information on this incredible jewel of Jaffa, search for Jaffa Colony on-line.
The house comes fully furnished. Wifi is included. TVs can be provided upon request. DVD player available for guests' use as well. Linens and towels included. Washer on-site as well. The house is professionally cleaned twice a week.
If coming from the airport, a personal driver (the incredible and wonderfully jovial Ramy!) for the house can be arranged for a pick-up for between 120 and 150 NIS (higher rates apply for Shabbat). A lower rate applies to bus/train station pick-ups. Inquire for more details.
Discounted rates for tickets to Suzanne Dellal performances and local rental cars available for guests. Inquire for more details.
A weekly gathering holds fast as a tradition in the house, affectionately known as (email hidden)--complete with food from around the world, locals, dancers, artists, travelers, world changers, innovators, great conversations, and the occasional theme will arise. Be a part of (email hidden) even if you don't stay here.!:)
A place for exchange and inspiration, this house is a force of nature when it comes to fostering connections and nourishing perspectives. The ACer family only continues to grow...be a part of its' momentum and come experience its' magic!

amazing host, very communicative, and helpful. Highly recommended!
Heather was a great host and always around, when we need her. Location was very central and only 10 minutes from teh seaside. We stayed there with 2 children and it was perfect!
An amazing place with an authentic neighborhood, Heather was a great and kind guest. Perfect situation to visit Yaffo and south Tel Aviv, hang out and live at the rythm of real TLV nightlife.
Heather's apartment is beautiful, spacey and well located in one the oldest neighborhoods of Tel Aviv. We appreciated the garden/terrace with couches and a table, which we used to take our meals. Heather allowed us to use a barbecue (I bought it at a neighborhood store) which made our dinners even more pleasant. The apartment is at walking distance to the beaches, old Jaffa, and Neve Tsedek. The great plus of the apartment is that it is in a quiet area, which is difficult to find in Tel Aviv.
Heather was a wonderful host. She was always very helpful and friendly, we felt at home in the AC from the start. The place was very clean and is situated in a lovely part of Tel Aviv. We thank you very much for making our visit a special one. We look forward to seeing you again !
