My stay at Jean-Charles apartment was everything I hoped for, and more. Jean -Charles was so welcoming and went out of his way to provide me with information about the area of Notre-Dame and Paris; what to do, where to eat, how to use the metro and RER system. He welcomed me to the apartment on the morning of my arrival, and I was able to store my bags there until it became available later in the day; he showed me around the neighbourhood; and then came back later to make sure I was settled in. For the single traveller, which I was, his place is very central, above street level, very clean, tidy and very safe. It was a delight and I felt right at home! Spacious enough for two, or a small family group. Even though it is in a busy area, it is tucked in off the major street. There are excellent restaurants below and close by, which is handy. With the window closed, it is surprisingly quiet, and with the window open, the wonderful sights and sounds of Paris are right there. Notre Dame cathedral is right outside the window! Jean-Charles has an obvious pride and joy in his apartment, and is a very friendly and helpful person. His apartment is a gem and I highly recommend it, particularly for a single person who finds that hotels can be impersonal and cleanliness often suspect. The apartment is so well located that I found that I could go out sightseeing for a few hours, go back for a bit of a rest, or to drop off shopping and then head back out. That made such a difference. It is also very well suited for buying your own food to prepare, instead of going out to eat. Great cheese stores, market, bakery, wines, just five minutes walk away. This was my first airbnb experience and how lucky I was!
Jean was an outstanding host, and he even came to meet us on day one & explained how to operate various gadgets in the apartment. He also allowed us to stay till 5 PM on the day we checked out, which was a huge help as we were traveling with our infant & our flight was at 9 PM. When we stayed there, he was always enthusiastic to answer all our queries about local travel when we called him on his mobile. The location of his apartment is bang opposite Notre Dame, you just have to cross the street. So if you want to stay in the hustle bustle of central Paris, there is no better apartment than this. Thank you Jean.
Jean Charles was in contact with us prior to our arrival and supplied a lot of interesting and valuable information, so saving us time finding out the best places to visit ourselves.
Jean Charles was a fantastic host. The apartment is in an amazing location, and he pointed us to all the best spots. We will be telling any of our friends who travel to Paris to stay here if it's available!
Jean-Charles was the perfect host! He was very gracious and let me check in early as I flew into Paris at 8am. The apartment is adorable and was in the perfect location. I was able to get around Paris with ease. Jean-Charles had a lot of useful suggestions regarding where to eat and drink and overall was extremely helpful! I will not hesitate to contact him again the next time I am in Paris.
