  • Dennis is a riot. He is funny as hell, generous and one of the most intelligent people I have met. A delight as a house mate and landlord.

When I fell ill he gave me a ride to the hospital and was always there to help with any problem that came up. I strongly recommend the place- if you don't mind waiting for the # 77 bus to Harvard Square!

  • Dennis and Shirley were very gracious and welcoming hosts. The room was very clean, comfortable in quiet city block and offered a lot of privacy. Easy to get to downtown with the bus.

Sometimes an unknown place in that case as the USA ( especially for me, because I was for the first time there): other mentality, other culture, and other surroundings were accepted as your own, thanks to such people as Dennis and Shirley!

They are very helpful and a lot of thanks to Dennis I published my collection of articles. He got up at 4 o’clock in order to get me airport, it was real a nobility. I really appreciate it. I would recommend everybody to stay here!

  • Dennis and Shirley are very kind and welcoming. They always tried to make me feel welcome in their home! i studied all day so I wasn't around in the house a lot, but the time I was there, they were very attentive. I didn't get to be with Shirley a lot but Dennis is a very funny and interesting guy! I surely learnt a lot from him. We had to share bathrooms but they always had it clean and cozy all the time. It was a nice visit! :D

Very intelligent and well rounded people who have lived very interesting lives. I've definitely made lifelong friends by staying here.

  • My stay at at Dennis and Shirley's B&b in Arlington Mass was beyond delightful. The place was clean and my room was very nice and spacious. It is close to many restaurants and there is an excellent Mexican restaurant around the corner. They are the most caring and gracious hosts. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. I truly felt that I was part of the family.

I must mention Chloe their alaskan husky she to made my stay fun too.
I will always love you Dennis and Shirley.

  • Dennis is a prince. Very interesting guy. The place is clean and pleasant. Right on the Minuteman Bikeway, which I used to commute to both Lexington and (in the other direction) Cambridge. The 77 bus on Mass Avenue runs frequently. All in all, a great place.

  • I stayed a couple of weeks in Dennis and Shirley' house. To resume: I think I couldn't have find a better place to stay! The room was very nice and comfortable, just near the kitchen and the shared bathroom. Dennis is very pleasant and open-minded. I really enjoyed discussing about a lot of differents things with Dennis and his son, and with the other guests I could meet too. We had very enriching exchanges!
The house is huge and well located: just 5 min walk from Arlington center and just next to a bus stop. The district is also delightful, there are stores (grocery and restaurant) just around and the Davis square T station is just 10 min by bus.
If I have the opportunity to come back to Boston, sure I'll try to stay at Dennis and Shirley's house again.

  • I extended my stay a couple of times as my travel plans changed, but Dennis and Shirley were very understanding and flexible. The room was great and while they were actively working to improve the rest of the house, it was not a bad place at all.

They are also an interesting couple - the house suits those who comfortably could talk with the hosts when home in the evenings.
