About this listing
If you've stayed in apartments in China you know all the hassles you can have, even with decent apartments. Slow internet, no hot water, shabby appliances.... I have been living in Shenzhen off and on for 7 years and decided to outfit a place that had all the comforts of home. You will find blazing fast internet (paying for 8Mb/s but clocked at 11 last time I checked), a high end washing machine, a brand new top of the line bed from IKEA, a new refrigerator, cooking utensils and some cooking supplies, all new furniture all clean and fresh from IKEA, and even speakers that you can plug your phone into to play your favorite music.
The location is in Nanshan with lots of great restaurants, an electronics markets, groceries, and my favorite cafe in Shenzhen (Cafe D). The subway is only a 10 minute walk away and a 20 minute walk or short cab ride takes you to Garden City which has Walmart, Starbucks and many other Western stores.
The whole building is brand new (opened 7/2012) and extremely clean and modern by Shenzhen standards. The team from my company speaks fluent English and will set you up and help you get settled. We'll also be happy to have a housecleaner come to clean the place during your stay upon request at no extra cost if you stay there longer than one week. Welcome to Casa Shenzhen!
Smoking outside only
Greg's apartment is brilliant. Exactly as listed, clean, fast wifi, in a good area and close to the metro station. There is also a supermarket seconds away, especially useful if you are cooking your own food.
I was met by Olivia who was great. My phone wasn't working properly and I was late to the apartment but it was never any trouble for her, always very friendly. And even spoke to the taxi driver to take me back to the border when I left.
Overall, it was a great experience. I travel to shenzhen occasionally and would definitely stay here again.
This was an extension to my original stay and was just as great - the host was very accommodating to add another day on to facilitate better travel for me.
This is a nice, quiet little apartment in the middle of Nanshan district. It's a busy part of Shenzhen that is developing rapidly. A metro station (Taoyuan) is about a 10 minute walk or a few minutes in a cab if it's too hot. This is the main E-W line through Shenzhen & will get you most places in the city.
The hosts on the ground were extremely helpful, particularly Olivia who checked in with me to make sure everything was good and answer questions over WeChat.
The apartment has everything you need and there is a supermarket and many dining options within a minute or two from the apartment. Internet is fast and reliable though the usual notes about access to certain sites (Google, Facebook etc) apply.
I really enjoyed my time here and the hosts made it easy. Would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Shenzhen.
The listing was accurate. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. Relatively free of cockroaches compared to most of the city, probably because it's a newer building. Overall, the stay was quite pleasant. This is a private apartment, no other people to share with, so that means privacy! This was what drew me to this place. It was a bit of a walk to the subway, but there are several bus stops nearby for traveling to many different parts of the city. The price is a little high, even at the monthly rate, but all in all I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a private getaway to spend time with their wife or girlfriend.
prima plekje in prima buurtje. Beperkte inventaris van de keuken maar in de praktijk maakt dat niet veel uit...... Veel restaurants ed in de buurt.
Definitely a more pleasant experience than ammonia smelling carpets that our course-mates experienced in their hotels nearby the area. Not to mention the smoking in their hotels. Quite glad that the apartment is smoke free. Kitchen is very conducive to cook.
