If you've stayed in apartments in China you know all the hassles you can have, even with decent apartments. Slow internet, no hot water, shabby appliances.... I have been living in Shenzhen off and on for 7 years and decided to outfit a place that had all the comforts of home. You will find blazing fast internet (paying for 8Mb/s but clocked at 11 last time I checked), a high end washing machine, a brand new top of the line bed from IKEA, a new refrigerator, cooking utensils and some cooking supplies, all new furniture all clean and fresh from IKEA, and even speakers that you can plug your phone into to play your favorite music.
The location is in Nanshan with lots of great restaurants, an electronics markets, groceries, and my favorite cafe in Shenzhen (Cafe D). The subway is only a 10 minute walk away and a 20 minute walk or short cab ride takes you to Garden City which has Walmart, Starbucks and many other Western stores.
The whole building is brand new (opened 7/2012) and extremely clean and modern by Shenzhen standards. The team from my company speaks fluent English and will set you up and help you get settled. We'll also be happy to have a housecleaner come to clean the place during your stay upon request at no extra cost if you stay there longer than one week. Welcome to Casa Shenzhen!
Smoking outside only
prima plekje in prima buurtje. Beperkte inventaris van de keuken maar in de praktijk maakt dat niet veel uit...... Veel restaurants ed in de buurt.
Definitely a more pleasant experience than ammonia smelling carpets that our course-mates experienced in their hotels nearby the area. Not to mention the smoking in their hotels. Quite glad that the apartment is smoke free. Kitchen is very conducive to cook.
Modern and clean appartment and responsive service. Located in Nanshan, its near Shenzhen University and not too far from Shekou district by taxi which are relatively cheap in China. I would recommend.
Greg's place was awesome and his staff was amazing. If you want the perfect place in a great local location, this is it. Alt a 10 to 15 min walk to the metro, but I enjoy the route you have to take. If you're a coffee lover like me, Starbucks is just around the corner, as well as this cool little place called the D Street Cafe. They have some great dessert waffles. I stayed for a month and couldn't have been any happier.
Thanks Greg and staff...
I couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one I had staying at Greg's apartment for 4 weeks. The facilities are modern and the location is pretty much perfect. Everything you would need is included and things that are not included like food are easily bought from the store in front of the building.
Coastal City, a major shopping area, is a convenient walk away with minimal road crossings. The metro is a relatively short distance away. If I had one minor gripe it would be that it wasn't closer but it's not really that bad. They are building a new station directly in front of the building so pretty soon it will be a complete non-issue.
Everything needed to cook a meal is included so it was nice being able to make meals at the apartment and save a bit of money. Carrefour has an imported foods section so be sure to check that out if you're looking for a taste of home. McDonalds is nearby and KFC is in front of the building which provide excellent familiar eating options to fall back on. Chinese food is great but it is nice to have something you're used to every couple of days.
The size of the apartment was perfect for 1 or 2 people. The price was great considering the quality of the apartment and location. I will be back to Shenzhen and when I do return I will be strongly considering staying here again because it is that awesome!
The apartment is very nice, just as described. The people, Greg and the on site rep Leslie are a pleasure to deal with. One night I accidentally forgot my key and called Leslie late in the evening. She actually came over and provided a spare key for me to get into the apartment. I would call this superior service.
