Lovely and spacious urban farmhouse, smack in the middle of the most vibrant neighborhood that Portland has to offer. The historical Mississippi Arts district is full of great restaurants, cafes, shops and music venues and the main drag is just a stones throw from the home. The neighborhood is also in close proximity to downtown, tri-met, max and bus transportation options are plentiful and within walking. Groceries within walking as well (Cherry Sprout, and coming soon New Seasons) distance as well. Foodies will love the local food carts, and some nearby parks are Overlook park, Peninsula Park, Irving park, the list goes on.

Overall our experience in the Mississippi Farmhouse was good. Marc was incredibly helpful to work with throughout the whole process. The house is in a very accessible location to all of the Portland area. Wonderful access to the bike/running paths, light rail is very close, and it is close to the main highways for easy driving. The dining room and sitting areas have huge windows to provide a bright and warm feeling. If you are expecting a hotel like experience this is not a listing for you. This is a family home, it is well lived in, worn in places, a bit soiled around the edges, but it is cozy. For us it was a home away from home. The kitchen is minimally stocked. If has the bare basics but nothing more. Fun for a camping type of adventure. *** One warning: if you have allergies or have highly sensitive skin this may not be the place for you. *** After arriving I had repeat allergic reactions and had to be put on steroids, high dose cortisone, and antihistamines. The reactions would subside when leaving the house for more than a 24 hour period of time, but would come back once in the house for more than 6 hours. My husband had no problems while there.
